Picked up my camera and it kept telling me to replace the battery. Clearly an electrical fault so I looked on Trust Pilot for a repair service because the cost of a new camera right now is not an option. Got in touch with them liked their quote (companies local to me would not even look at my camera without a Canon warranty?) Was a little surprised when he got back in touch saying it was water damage but could be repaired, obviously it changed the cost but still a lot cheaper than a new camera. Got it back yesterday, took it out today. Honestly the quality of the pictures is spot on. Works like a dream. Would highly recommend. The person who took my camera out in the rain is a few quid lighter but happy he isn't having to buy a new one.

Sent my canon lens in to these guys to see if it could be repaired , the focus motor was kaput, it was not cost effective to repair.
They were very polite, informative and great communication.

Fantastic first class repair. Used by UCLH Imaging department for repair of Canon L series lens. Service equal of that from the Canon service agents we normally use. Would absolutely recommend these guys from a professional public service department.

This is one of the best companies I have dealt with on line. From my initial enquiry to the return of my repaired camera the customer service and update on progress was exceptional. Even better my camera was repaired and returned very quickly within the original estimate.

The main screen was working intermittently on my Olympus. CRD diagnosed as a hinge/contact problem, gave a very reasonable quote, then conducted the repair really quickly (sent Tuesday, received back on Saturday). Highly recommend this crew, brilliant communication throughout. 6 stars!

I damaged my filter on the front of the main Lens and made it worse by trying to remove it myself.
Googled this Repairers, which gave me an estimate before seeing it. After receiving for repairs still kept to the estimate even though they could have easily said I caused other damage to charge more. The turn around also very quick. So 5***** From me and will certainly use again if needed.

Impeccable! Supplied an estimate based on my email description, Kept me notified of when the camera had arrived, emailed me again to confirm the estimate, and again when the camera was ready to be returned. I sent it to them on Monday and had it back on Friday. Will definitely use again if the need arises.

These guys are amazing! 100% recommended. Id give them more stars if I could. Very speedy service including email responses, repairing my camera and sending it back to me. Quoted me a very reasonable price compared to other repair companies and kept me updated the whole way through the process. Got my fixed camera back 3 working days after I posted it!! I found Camera Repair Direct to be quick to respond, quick to complete the work with good communications throughout.

On their website at CameraRepairDirect.co.uk I described the camera's fault. The following day I received a quote for repair and return delivery by DPD.

They emailed to confirm receipt of the camera.

2 days later, they emailed to confirm the repair was complete, to confirm the price, and with bank transfer details for payment.

All very straight forward. I emailed to confirm I had paid.

The following day they emailed receipt of payment and confirmed return delivery.

The price was £66 to revive a camera which had contained corroded batteries, and would no longer power up, and to return it to me.

I would recommend Camera Repair Direct to any prospective customer.

Camera Repair Direct repaired a Sigma 85mm 1.4(not the art one) which would not auto focus. It was returned to me fully working again in less than 2 weeks after posting it to them. And that included 3 or 4 days while I decided if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I am very happy with the repair.

The quote was full inclusive of everything, parts, labour, return post and vat, which was very good. The only criticism I would make is that the guarantee is only 6 months.

As I said I think you need to think if they are any other options, other than having a repair. Lightroom medadate told me I had the lens for nearly 10 year. Google told me the lens was out of production from 2017. EBay told me a used 85mm Art cost a lot more then I wanted to spend. A used sample of mine was not common and probably would cost double the cost of the repair. Less than this was a brand new Nikon 1.8 85mm, and used samples on eBay was less than my repair. As I said you have to think carefully of all your options. Glad I went for the repair.

One thing did make me smile about the quote. If you don’t want to proceed with it, they will post the lens back to you for £12, or dispose of the lens for you completely free of charge!

Great Service, Sent my canon lens for repair the dreaded err 01. They turned it around in 48 hours and i got it back same week. Took it out on a shoot yesterday and its like new again at what i consider was great value for money. Definatly recommended.

so they sent it back

only cost me £24 in postage

not the worse situation but i realy wish they could have fixed

I am so pleased that my camera has been fixed so quickly, it has been less than 1 week. My camera is like new now.

Wes Davies from Camera Repair Direct was very efficient and responsive. He replied to all my question and queries that I had about my camera as I was busy all week to give them him call.

He E-mailed me when my camera was repaired and ready for dispatch alongside with Payment details.

Superb Service and fantastic communication throughout the process of repairing my camera.

When I called up to pay they don’t accept American Express payment which was a let-down but overall very pleased with the repair and communications.

When I received my camera, they wrapped my camera with plastic film and then they sent it in a cardboard box with bubble wrap and paper to make it very secure from getting damage in transit.

Right... No nonsense here. These guys were the cheapest quote by quite some way. Sent the camera on Friday. Had it back fully repaired by the following Thursday, with updates via email and a very friendly phone call to take payment in between. Absolutely class service from start to finish and a 6month warranty on the repair. Perfect service, perfect company, perfect experience. I will add, I am fussy and hard to please...so this review says a lot. Don't mess around, use them. You will NOT be disappointed.

Superb service! As others have said, a quick and fair quote (and explanation of what would happen should they fault turn out to be worse than expected), contact with me throughout, and speedily and expertly handled. Camera back to normal, within the week. Communication was specific to me, a real personal touch - not like dealing with a large company. Thoroughly recommend.
