I emailed a handful of camera repair specialists, including the manufacturers official repair centre, to get some cost estimates for repairing my EF lens. I had done a lot of research into the fault so I knew what needed replacing and that it was a common fault. Most of the estimates I received were double what CRD quoted me, the rest wouldn’t even give me an estimate as they said they had to inspect the lens themselves first. I was sceptical at the low cost CRD told me the repair would be, but as an amateur photographer could not justify paying the extravagant fee the others were asking.

I have genuinely been blown away with the speed and quality of service. I had my lens back in two business days in perfect working order. I am absolutely thrilled and would definitely recommend CRD!

I have just had a compact camera repaired by Camera Repair Direct. Cannot fault them. Quick and fair quote. Acknowledgement of camera receipt. Repair and camera returned in a week. Without them I would probably have had to pay out around another £300 to get a similar new camera. Well done and thanks.

Had an Err01 error on a Canon lens, was quoted an estimated 14 days timeframe and nearly twice as much (subject to further inspection) costs from a local specialist shop and their service partner. Found CRD on Google, received a quote back within an hour, I shipped the same day (a Tuesday), was emailed on Wednesday to say it had arrived safely, contacted again Thursday to say it had been fixed as per the quote, and it arrived back at the weekend. Absolutely thrilled, super fast communication and clear, competitive pricing. Would 100% use again and highly recommend.

Fast service and transit. Perfect repair; includes sensor clean and general clean. Made an effort to find an otherwise obsolete part. Pricey considering the fine line between repair cost and buying a new camera instead.

Filled in the form on the Camera Repair Direct website describing an issue with my Canon 24-70mm. Within an hour, Wes Davies had come back to me with a breakdown of work and quote for repair and I sent the lens off the next day (Wednesday). Was given an estimated turnaround time of between 10-14 days. It was back to me, fully fixed, cleaned and looking like new by the Saturday, just 3 days later! And it only cost £108! Can't recommend him highly enough.

I had an issue with the Multi Function Control and Set button on my EOS6D and could not use Canon as they had closed their centre due to COVID, so I contacted Camera Repair Direct on a Tuesday morning, was given a quote by email within the hour and posted my camera to them in the afternoon. I then got email confirmation on Wednesday morning to say it had arrived and been passed to the technical team and on Thursday had another email to confirm it had been repaired with invoice details. I made my payment by bank transfer and the camera was delivered back to me on Saturday morning.

I got a Sony DSC HX50 camera and starting having a error message on screen. I contacted Sony and price was too much due to out of warranty. When I Google I came across Camera Repair Direct and looked at the customer reviews it is very positive. I contacted them on Monday I was given a quote and I posted my camera same evening. I got a email confirmation on Tuesday to say it was passed to the technical team and Wednesday had another email to confirm it’s repaired saying me to make the payment. I got the camera back Thursday 7:30am. What a customer service is that from Camera Repair Direct. Keep up the good work guys and would definitely use you again for any camera faults and recommend to others. Top work!! Thanks

My Panasonic FZ2500 was stuck on burst shooting. I'd had 2 estimates from other repair companies who quoted £70 - £100+ as a'guide' price for repair. Wes at Camera Repair Direct suggested I try a factory reset, which I did and the problem was solved. He then refused my offer of payment! In a world of sharks and rip off merchants his honesty was very much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending Camera Repair Direct as a company you can trust.

Cannot fault Wes and the team. After my mother in law dropped my camera and jammed the zoom, I thought it was doomed! The repair was quick and good value and Wes was extremely helpful. I'll never let my mother in law borrow my camera again but if she does, I'll be booking it back in here.

I have nothing but praise for Camera Repair Direct. I purchased a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro online, but although it was faulty from the very start the seller showed no inclination to honour the warranty. I contacted C R D and received a reply within an hour. All the repair costs were detailed and the lens was beautifully repaired within two week (this included the time for spares to be ordered). I would not hesitate to use this company again and recommend them wholeheartedly.

Just had a compact Panasonic camera repaired by this company. So far I can't fault them. I wondered if it would be worth the money, seeing as the camera is £160 new, but it was. It was clogged with sand after a few trips to the coast and was making grinding noises and error codes were coming up. Turn around was around ten days, which is decent. Cost was £60 including delivery and VAT, which is a whole lot cheaper than a new camera!! Communication is quick and simple with them too. I would recommend trying them before writing your camera off as broken.

I had a compact Sony camera which had a couple of minor defects - the door covering the charging point had become strained and had fallen off and I recently noticed a blurred mark on my pictures where some dirt or dust had got inside the lens.
I used the email enquiry form on Camera Repair Direct (CRD) website and had a reply back within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote for the work and instructions on how to proceed. I sent off my camera and it was about 14 days before I heard back from them - they had been waiting for the door part from the manufacturer. They sent another email with payment details and I was able to pay via internet banking (other methods available) and they sent the phone back to me within 24 hours of the payment, via FedEx so the delivery was secure and tracked the whole way. I was really pleased with the service I received from Camera Repair Direct and definitely recommend them. Communication was good, repair didn't take long, cost was minimal and payment was easy to complete. Now my camera is as good as new and I am a very happy customer.

We have used CRD twice. On the second occasion there was a slight hiccup, which would best be described as a 'communication' issue. Wes dealt with this without drama and within 3 days we had a fully working camera back home. What's not to like? If we have another camera needing repair, we will be back to CRD.
