Had my Lens Replacement Surgery at Cathedral Eye Clinic. Excellent pre and post operate care. No pressure to commit. Options explained thoroughly and honestly. Decision to proceed was entirely mine. No sales pressure. All staff very professional and evident that they work as a dynamic team headed by Prof. Moore.

After I some research I choose cathedral eye clinic and had laser eye surgery with the latest procedure (Smile). Everyone I met with was extremely friendly and professional. The surgery itself went excellently and the after patient care has been fantastic.

Having done a lot of research into lens replacement I decided to go with the best, cathedral eye clinic. Everyone of the staff are professional and extremely knowledgeable and reassured me with any information I required.
I was wearing driving and reading glasses and now don’t require any glasses at all and can see perfectly I have 20/20 vision.I’m totally delighted with the results.
I would 100% recommend this business.

I had LASIK eye surgery only yesterday and went back to work today.

I’m Scott and aged 30, I’ve been wearing glasses & contact lenses for around 9/10 years now, “sorry I should say, I was wearing”.

I never felt confident wearing glasses & would not have been caught dead to be seen on a night out or at any event wearing glasses, so contact lenses was my only option at the time. I found contacts started to dry out after a few hours and very uncomfortable.

I heard of Cathedral Eye Clinic through work as I work in an opticians but also through word of mouth. I researched different companies that perform laser eye surgery around Belfast and Cathedral Eye Clinic came out on top, that lead to me booking an appointment and I was so impressed with the friendly & professional service, I decided to book with Cathedral Eye Clinic to have my surgery.

From my initial consultation right through to my aftercare the staff have been exceptional, Professor Moore’s attention to detail has been first class. Nothing has been too much trouble for any of the staff & I would highly recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anybody considering having the procedure.

I'm a meticulous researcher, and after looking at a number of high street clinics, I decided there really was no substitute for a top surgeon and facility like Cathedral Eye. From start to finish, Andrew and Professor Moore put you at ease and make you feel as though you are in safe hands, and their expertise and mastery of laser eye shines through. All of the support staff are fantastic too, polite, courteous and happy to answer questions. I'm now about a week post-op after electing for SMILE laser eye surgery and the results have been incredible. Within about 18 hours my eyesight was completely transformed and I'm able to see sharper than I have been in about 15 years. Don't hesitate to get an initial appointment booked with these guys, I only wish I'd elected for surgery sooner!

Searched a lot of places to find somewhere to take my 10 yr old to get an eye test & glasses for the first time with the insurance we have & found this place. The staff was so friendly & professional. The wait time was only a few minutes even after I filled out the new patient survey. When we went to the back for testing the doctor even had a water coloring book to keep my 3 yr old occupied during the exam. When he was done coloring he got very curious about what was going on so the doctor let him look into the machine & see his brother's eye up close. Lets not forget that they will bring you coffee or water if you want it. When we came back only 4 days later to pick his new glasses up we were approached right away and had the fitting done and were out of there in about 20 minutes or so if that. This will be the only place I was beyond satisfied & happy with this clinic & they will be the only place I will be taking my children for all their eye care needs. Thank you Cathedral Eye Care for surpassing all my expectations & being such an awesome place! I just wish I could have rated you more than 5 stars :-)

After years of wearing glasses I decided to approach Professor Moore in the Cathedral Eye Clinic for advice. An extensive eye examination was completed by Racheal, Prof Moore looked at the results and his recommendation was lens replacements. He explained fully what I could expect from my new lens and I decided to go ahead. Over the course of two Saturday mornings Prof Moore replaced my lenes, left eye first. It entailed a ten minute op with minimal fuss... " Van Morrison" playing in the background put me at my ease and all went to plan. Immediately after the op I could see, which was fantastic!
Over the next four weeks I put drops in my eyes to help the healing process. On week five I did get an infection in my right eye but a call to the clinic and a consultation with Prof Moore sorted it out within a day. It was good to know that they were at the end of a phone and quick to sort my problem.
My eye sight now is fabulous and as the days go by it is getting better and I love not wearing glasses.
I would highly recommend the Cathedral Eye Clinic they have a professional approach with minimal fuss for their patients.

Can only say that I would not trust my eyes to anyone else but Cathedral eye Clinic. I was there today for a follow up appointment and I was amazed at the beautiful new building - so comfortable and welcoming. All the team do their utmost to put you at ease. Professor Willoughby carried out some of my treatment and he really is a man of the people. No talking down to patients just clear information about benefits and risks. Excellent service.

I went to a number of other clinics in order to investigate the possibility of having my eyes corrected and found Cathedral Eye Clinic to be more professional and more interested in solving my problem than any of the others. During my first visit the problem was identified and the procedure to correct my vision was well explained in laymans terms. This was followed up by a visit to meet Professor Moore who again explained the procedure and quickly put me at ease with his down to earth explanation of what I should expect and and his aspirations for the final results. He also made it clear that he couldn't give a 100% guarantee but his stats are very impressive. Professor Moore quickly gained my trust and I felt confident in his ability. I was also impressed that he rang me the day after surgery to see how I was progressing. Unfortunately I was out of the house at the time of the call but I appreciated him taking the time to ring. I didn't like to return the call as it was on a Sunday and didn't like to disturb him.
The original tests showed that my eyes were borderline for driving. There was a week between the surgery on my eyes and 48 hours after completion of the second surgery my eyes were measured to be at fighter pilot standard! I am thrilled with the results and have already booked my 21 year old daughter in for laser treatment later this month. I wouldn't allow anyone to complete surgery in my daughters eyes without 100% confidence in the surgeon. My wife is also hoping to have laser surgery in the next few months.
I am also impressed with the post surgery care and will be reviewed in 6 weeks and again after 9 months. Cathedral Eye Clinic made me feel that they were interest in helping me. Their standard of care is second to none and the result in my case is outstanding. I was recommended to the by a previous patient and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I had laser eye treatment under Prof Moore last week. I am a doctor myself and chose cathedral eye clinic after he was recommended by a friend and other fellow doctors. I was informed Prof Moore is "man who sorts people out when surgery has gone wrong!" He was professional throughout and very approachable.I had already been assessed at optilase eye clinic and told I was the perfect candidate for surgery. However, on being assessed at CEC Prof Moore discovered I had a problem with my eyes which meant he had to delay surgery for a few weeks and treat me with eye drops (a problem not picked up by optilase!). Andrew Spence, the optometrist was also very friendly and skilled at his job. The surgery itself was completely painless. However, I experienced a lot of pain afterwards. Prof Moore and Andrew were both in contact with me regularly after surgery.Prof Moore even phoned my husband from Italy to see how I was getting on! One point I would say was I didn't take in the information regarding drops given by the nurse after the surgery-I was too busy thinking of my eyes! I could have done with being given this information before the surgery.Also the leaflet given with the drops was a bit vague. I almost certainly overdosed on the topical analgesic drops! If you want laser eye surgery done this is the place to go but just be warned it is no stroll in the park and is very painful afterwards! Thanks to CEC for a fantastic service!

I had lens replacement surgery at this clinic just over one year ago. The entire service from consultation to after care is excellent. Everything was clearly explained and I felt confident to undergo the treatment. My daughter has also had laser surgery at the same clinic. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone considering this type of surgery

I decided look into eye surgery when my vision got to the point of needing two pair of glasses or varifocals for reading and distance. I looked into all the clinics offering eye surgery. Finally I decided on Cathedral Eye Clinic Belfast. Initially I had hoped I would be suitable for laser but unfortunately due to various reasons laser was not an option. I needed lens replacement. I went ahead with the surgery Professor Moore and everyone at the clinic were great. The surgery I admit was daunting but then again anything worth while isn't always easy. There was discomfort while the anesthetist was doing the local anestthetic but didn't last too long. After that I felt nothing and the surgery was over quite quickly. To be honest my circumstances lead to a few issues with my vision but credit to Professor Moore he offered me options to improve my vision further. He and Andrew did constant scans and tests to get me to the best outcome. I now read and see distances without glasses thanks to Professor Moore and his team at the clinic.

Reception staff were very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Consultant explained the issue fully, answered questions and carried out the procedure in a professional manner explaining its purpose, and follow up required.

The staff at Cathedral Eye are exceptional. Extremely knowledgable, courteous, professional and friendly. On ocassion you may have to wait to a little longer than you would probably like to be seen but a nice cup of coffee or tea and a lengthy consultation make you realise that the staff take time with their patients especially when they need to reassure them, and may have to do extra tests. I would have no hesitation in recommending this clinic for their exceptional personal service and professionalism.
