After care
Optical Express were great when visiting the Preston branch to see about having eye surgery.
This went ahead in Manchester September 2025 then problems started with my eyes not in vision and painful to light.
Having seen various eye clinicians over a period of weeks things were not improving, the same answer it takes time.
Eventually getting to see someone who could understand the problems I was having things started to improve slowly.
The after care not all what it's made out to be?
I was given x2 appointments and attended only to find no one there to see me.
That's meant travelling from Manchester twice at my cost.
I was given money out of the petty cash for the fuel cost, eyes were still a problem though.
Things are slowly getting better and my vision much clearer at this moment in time.
I have now been told its £100 for any further visits, I don't find this very fair.
I know it's in the small print after 3x month if you wish to see anyone.
But having been twice and not seen i find this unfair.
I have made a complaint to the head office but received a phone call to say they will still be a change for any further appointments.
Great at taking your money at first, after care shocking? Hope you get everything right in the x3 months they give you.

I had both eye lenes replaced & from start to finish the service was impeccable. Timings & surgery very professional, excellent! Highly recommend them.

Life changing eye surgery
I was apprehensive about having lens replacement surgery for obvious reasons with the thought of your eyes being worked on but I can’t honestly say that the surgery has transformed my life, I have that spark back and my sight is back to where it was many years ago when I did not wear glasses. You build yourself up to think that it will be a painful procedure but I did not feel any pain or pressure on my eyes during the surgery and was surprised when the surgeon actually said it was complete. I strongly recommend anyone thinking about eye surgery to go for it as it transforms your life. Thank you to the team and the surgeon at optical express.

Excellent Service! Gideon - Meadowhall
Gideon at Meadowhall was really lovely giving us his time and service even though we were not actually making a purchase. We enquired about replacing the nose pads on some sunglasses and this was done for us then and there. When we tried to pay we were delighted to find this was a free service! I don't know if this is standard across similar stores, but we were so caught off guard. We will definitely return to Optical Express when we next need glasses! Thanks to Gideon and the team at Meadowhall - Saturday 21 March 2026. Please pass on our appreciation!
