Spoke with Indya/India in the rental team in (Abingdon) after she fixed the volume on her headset.

Who immediately told me that the property I would like to view is (Fully booked) and that they do not have keys to access the property and that the tenants dad was not very well.

Tons of reasons as to why the can not help me.

Awful experience.

Shocking. I've sent request forms from Rightmove and called the Reading, Chesham and Abingdon offices about 10 times over the past couple of weeks to enquire about two properties for rent. I've been passed from one office to another and back again multiple times, had 4 people take my details down to call me back and never heard from anyone. How can you make 10 phone calls and not even discuss anything with anyone?! God knows how many people give up trying to speak to someone, I certainly have. Avoid and go with another estate agent.

Staff were polite and professional and very prompt in dealing with any requests or questions

I was a tenant with Chancellor's. I reported on numerous occasions my black mould issue/damp within the apartment, without any response to-date.
I was eventually forced to vacate the property because of lack of response or action to my complaints.
Surely, black mould/damp within properties should be addressed ASAP due to the health implications.
Chancellors have displayed utter disregard for my health as a tenant, and placed me at risk. Shocking!!!

Tom, Lisa and Connor at the Abingdon branch have nursed me through what turned out to be a nightmare conveyancing experience (nobody's fault, just the way things panned out this time). But here we are, in the middle of moving, and right to the end they've been there to support and guide me through with a hands on, friendly, informative approach. This is the third time I've used Chancellor's and I appreciate their networking skills and the fact they coordinate all parties and chase up information.

The worst letting agency I have ever dealt with. To start the agent tried to get us into a bidding war for a rental property! After making unprofessional comments in regard to my income. Once the let was agreed we were guaranteed that the property would be professionally cleaned and all items in the garage would be removed so we could have full use of the garage that we were paying for. Upon collecting the keys neither of those were done. After many calls, the house was cleaned again to a sub-par level. We were told the furniture and rubbish in the garage were to be kept as they had sentimental value to the landlord. After stating we would like a reduced rent as the property was advertised with a garage we were then told we could empty it ourselves. 10 months in to staying at the property. We receive short notice for a house inspection. Not an issue, this is standard. 2 weeks later, our rent day falls on a Sunday. The next day we receive a rude email chasing the rent. Immediately reply with a screenshot showing rent has been paid from our end, must have been missed or delayed from the weekend before showing in their account. Still no reply as to if it has been received which would have been common courtesy and no confirmation or report from the house inspection. I feel bad for the landlords because this is the worst customer service I have ever had.

Chancellors stepped in to market our property at short notice. They have proven to be particularly proactive, have moved things along at the pace we desired, and have been exceptionally professional throughout. We achieved the desired sale and price within a short timeframe, and Chancellors are now assisting to drive this sale through to a successful completion.

We have found the team at Chancellors to be very professional and friendly, answering all of our queries and guiding us through the house-buying process as first-time buyers. Special mention to Tom who has been particularly helpful and approachable, thank you!

Tom, Lisa and Venora all provided an excellent service from initial contact to completion. Having had my house originally valued at a lower price by another estate agent, Lisa revalued at £20k higher and Chancellors delivered offers on or over the asking within the first week of being on the market. Would recommend Chancellors to anyone selling their property.
