Very pleased with Stephanie our contact/liaison person at Chancellors. She has been very professional and courteous throughout the process of selling our home and believe Chancellors are very lucky to have her in their employ. Overall the service has been good.

I chose Chancellors Estate Agency in High Barnet to Let my flat based on my initial communication with Monty Tang, Letting Manager. From our very first conversation, Monty listened, answered all my questions, provided me with jargon-free, transparent and honest information and never made me feel rushed or pressured. Throughout the process, even though I was passed through to different staff members at different stages of the Let, Monty was always available and encouraged me to copy him in to emails or contact him if anything was unclear. Monty made me feel confident that he would be able to successfully advertise and find a great tenant and whilst the tenancy has only just begun, it seems to have gone without a hitch so far. I have to say, I keep waiting for the 'catch' or for something to go wrong and it really hasn't! Monty is definitely an asset to Chancellors and I would 100% continue to use their services as well as recommend them in the future . Thank you.

Geoff and his staff specially Stephanie , have kepted me informed of buyers and where the market was to reduce the house price to get a fair price for my late mothers home .
Probate has been quite an issue but we eventually got there in the end and seems the sale is now going forward , thanks to Geoff and his team .

Putting up a property for rent is a daunting process, with many formalities to complete, however, I was lucky enough to be given Monty as my Lettings contact, he made the entire process, much more simplified, very easy and manageable, he even spent time with me in person, helping me fill out some forms and giving tips and guidance and the correct answers.
He has been my go-to person, any questions or queries or support I have needed or required, Monty has always provided, even after the initial stage, Monty hasn’t taken the usual sales person approach - once the business is done, leave them with other teams to deal with, he has actively helped with a few questions, even well after his role was finished.
Any time I request support, or have any questions, Monty is always available, or calls me back, if he is unable to speak.
He has given great advice, honest advice and the best advice a landlord would want.
Monty is proactive and actively seeking the best for me.
As he so nicely said to me once, I am HIS client, he will do the best for me.
I have full trust and faith in Monty, because of Monty, I am staying with this company.

We chose to sell with Chancellors because we’d previously had a good experience buying with them, but now the company has been restructured and I would now not recommend them.

We received little support in getting the sale completed after a buyer was found. The local Barnet team said it was no longer their role and the central sales progression team were very little help. We were therefore left to do nearly all of the chasing ourselves and received very little help with a difficult buyer. The central team failed to build a relationship with the buyer and he eventually refused to speak to them. It was clear to us that a structure of handing the sale over to another team who have never met the parties involved is not effective. We received some help from the Barnet team but they would reiterate that it wasn’t their role and only wanted to do a limited amount despite us really needing help.

Our sale was also dealt with by several different members of the central team non of whom had a consistent grasp of how things were progressing and we often had to provide the updates ourselves which were then repeated back to us several weeks later. We ended up having to chase the Chancellors team a lot as opposed to them helping us. The sale took over over 5 months once a buyer had been found and was only completed thanks to the patience of our solicitors.

The Chancellors Barnet team also put us under pressure to accept a last minute viewing from the buyer the day before we were due to move rather than advise the buyer this wasn’t appropriate.

Despite the buyer shouting at members of the Chancellors team and only paying for the property several days after his solicitors had agreed, Chancellors have agreed to work with him in future and take on his property for rental which shows that all that really matters to the company is making money. Would not recommend.

Geoff has been really great at guiding me through this process. He has offered sound and sensible advise, has been really supportive with lots of patience.

Chancellor’s were excellent throughout the process. They were very proactive in marketing our property and provided detailed feedback from the viewings. From the first great contact with the agency(Fabio) to the letting agent that handled the viewing and dealing with the landlord my experience was super great.

The big start here is Monty and I wanted to leave the review, regardless of the application outcome just to give a shout to someone who cares about making everyone happy between various people involved(agency, landlord, company, renter etc), especially now where we have a high competition for everything.
