We wanted to thank Dan from Chancellors who last week showed us another property in Herefordshire.
We were impressed with the excellent communication from Dan from the moment of booking our viewing.
He kept us informed,at point of contact then to confirm the viewing, also calling us on the viewing day.
No other agent has been this thorough.
Dan has shown us 2 properties (sadly not suitable for us) but his professional approach, detailed knowledge of the property & thoughtful attitude impressed us both.
We discussed the local area & villages which Dan is very familiar with, no other agent mentioned surrounding area.
He also discussed other offices, encouraging us to spread the net in our property search.
We believe that Dan has a simple 'Can do' attitude and he genuinely cares about helping his clients.
Its refreshing, helpful & very supportive.

Chris from chancellors played a vital role in the selling of our property. In the process of selling of our house we came across some difficulties , challenging and what could be describe as somewhat turbulence.
Throughout our process Chris was always positive as he would often say ( the class is half full).
Chris was punctual, courteous in his manner, with a positive and proactive approach, even when we felt like giving up . Taking his advice always prove to be right in our difficult situation !!!
Chris always was quick to answer our calls/ emails keeping us informed with situations that may prove difficult in our situation , however in exploring options with us , help us to make the choices then move on with progress. We will always be great full for his honesty.
Overall our experience with Chris was Brilliant 5/5 stars.

Steven Stark - an absolute diamond!!!

After uprooting over 100 miles from Worcestershire to South Wales in Nov 2024, I was devastated when my landlord decided to sell the house after agreeing to a three year term just 6 months after the move!

During the months that followed my daughter was very poorly and I was diagnosed with a life changing illness. The stress of this with having to find a new home on top was unbearable! Thankfully, fate dealt me a good hand and I found a forever home relatively quickly.

Steven was my main point of contact throughout all of this and I couldn’t have wished for anyone better to help. He was patient, understanding and more so showed compassion and empathy to my current situation.

Whilst I wouldn’t exactly provide a 5* rating to Chancellors Estate Agents as a whole, it is impossible to find any fault in the service I’ve received from Steven and his team.

Very professional and easy to get hold of with queries of any sort. Very helpful staff and were excellent in communication and making finding a property an easy and pleasurable experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for properties in the area to use them.

Chancellors have been really helpful through whole process of renting my property out. Made everything simple and straight forward. Jane Carter was my point of contact, can’t praise her enough.

Jane at Chancellors at the Hay on Wye office was very friendly and professional and worked hard to secure a tenant for our property. She also helped us navigate through the rules and regulations that apply to lettings and answered any questions we had. The only downside was having to deal with Chancellors head office in Bracknell.....

Jane and lili are a credit to Chancellors, professional, reliable and very thorough. We will definitely recommend to people we know to use chancellors in Hay-on-wye because of the service we have received from the both of them.

Very bad experience with Hay-on-Wye branch

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Hay-on-Wye branch. Initially, I inquired about a property, only to be told that all viewings were fully booked. However, I was assured that I would be informed immediately when a similar property became available.

Weeks later, I received an email stating that a new property would soon be on the market, and I was promised a fair opportunity to arrange a viewing. Yet, when the property was finally listed, I was only contacted to be told—once again—that all viewings had already been booked. When I questioned how this could happen as I was assured that I'll be informed in time to book a viewing, I was given a dishonest, very contradictory response, which only reinforced the branch’s lack of professionalism and failure to honor their commitments. I noticed all this is happening just in relation with the properties that have a great potential...

This entire experience has been frustrating and highly unprofessional. I relied on their word, yet their poor handling of the situation left me without any opportunity to even apply. If you are looking for a letting agency that values transparency and customer service, I strongly advise looking elsewhere, not to this Hay-on-Wye branch.

Would definitely NOT recommend.

Chancellors was helpful and professional during our experience renting and selling properties. The team at Hay-on-Wye, including Chris, Lili, and Jane, provided good support, with efficient service and advice. However, some areas could improve for a smoother overall process. Their long-standing reputation and effort are appreciated, but the experience was not flawless. A decent service.

We have recently purchased a property with Chancellors and will be moving very soon to Mid Wales.
I would like to give a huge thankyou to Maria Davies who has gone above and beyond to make this move for us as pain free as possible. She has answered all my queries and put me ease when i have been a little stressed. She is an asset to the company and wish her lots of luck in the future. She 5 gold stars from me. Thankyou Maria. The proceedings were straight forward, and I felt that I was kept informed at all times. All in all , very helpful, many thanks to the staff at Chancellors that looked after my tenancy agreement .

The staff at Chancellors Hay on Wye office were very helpful and professional in helping to to obtain a property rental in the area. Lili from the office kept us informed and updated at every stage of the process, very happy with the service from Lili and the whole team.

Really helpful staff and quick process

We have had such a positive experience with our house purchase from Chancellor’s in Hay on Wye.

Travis has shown us 2 houses one of which was perfect for us and we are buying. He is so friendly and helpful and truly does his best to help. He has been very responsive and professional throughout keeping us informed of progress and so warm and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for more from our viewings.

In addition Chris has been so helpful in communicating our wishes to the seller and helping us secure the property and answering all our questions and guiding us through the process.
