Proactive and Excellent Follow Up!

Alex Wood was very professional and a pleasure to work with during the process.

Grea support through the interview preparation, clear and helpful instructions.
Extremelly close follow up the recruitment process.
After the response, support to get transport cost reimbursed.
One point I would say was lacking, follow up after the negative response, looking into new opportunities.

I was in touch with Jack Cahill from ChapmanBlack end of 2017/beginning of 2018 regarding a VP role and very much appreciate his dedication in the project. Professional and caring
The guys from chapman black helped me to find a new job. They offered me various positions. While caring for my own wishes they prepared me for each interview and gave me quick feedback as soon as they could. I would surely contact them again once I would be looking for a new job.

I got a call from Mr Ben Omoya from ChapmanBlack after he had reviewed my Linkedin profile. and he was very professional conducting the first interview with me and in 2 or 3 weeks I had some interviews with different companies for a position which I was very interested in. I am working since 4 years with Chapman Black. Chapman Black contacted me on a Research for a new Head of Program Management Position within the Automotive Industrie. This was a very honest, clear and fair interviewing process together with the responsible recruiter Edward Amery. After I was hired at this Tier 1 Supplier for above mentioned Position my frequently Status about my personal growth in the new Company was always intersting to share with Chapman Black. Edward Amery and so the Chapman Black process is not just putting People into companies, they check always the personal process of them as well as supporting with their experiences in case issues would come up.
Personally I can point out that to highlight Edward Amery (now responsible for Electronics recruiting, former for Program Management)as well as Sam Conway (responsible for Quality Recruiting) as specialists to be contacted within Chapman Black. In case they are not responsible for your Needs they would Support to get the right same level recruiter taking care of your request.
All over, Chapman Black is strictly recommended from myself with my 20 years experience within the Automotive Industry.

The company contacted me for a senior Management position (VP Brand management) based in Germany.
I made it clear that I didn't speak German and they assured me it was not a prerequisite. After several conf calls, they reverted and told me, my profile could not be considered as their client was looking for a German speaker.

After 2-3 months they re-contacted me again for the same position telling me that their client would be open to non-German speaker now.
They subjected me again to another pre-screening rounds of interviews going through the same questions they already knew the answers from 3 months prior.
They keep asking if I had luxury experience and asked me to "demonstrate" it. They ask me some very strange questions like "what kind of car would I considered luxury (the role was not in the automotive industry at all).
Having spend 20 years with brands such as Cartier, Gucci, Ferragamo, etc, I wonder what i needed to "demonstrate" in term of luxury exp.
My resume was quite extensively detailed with each company and position (incl role, responsibilities and achievements).

Finally, they scheduled an interview with HR.

Further to the Skype with HR, I had to chase them down for a feedback.
Evidently, there has been no constructive feedback other than no.

While the consultants at Chapmanblack were very polite, the whole experience has been quite uncomfortable and a waste of time, starting with the misalignment of their client's needs with candidates' profile.

Needless to say, they disappeared as fast as they appeared.

I am not sure how they treat their clients but I would not recommend them for candidates.

What search/recruiting companies such as Chapmanblack forget, is that the candidates (Esp senior ones) will at some point need a search/recruiting company to work with and hire talent. These same candidates will evidently remember how they were treated.

The way you treat candidate will reflect largely on your future business!

And for the one talent they place in a company they already have a contact in, how many other talents they are burning their reputation with.

Do you think I would ever want to work with Chapmanblack as a client ??

They are definitely one of the top job consultants in the market right now. Professional, honest and focused is how I would describe my interaction with Shadab. I really liked the fact that there was always prompt feedback given during the entire process.
