We recently had the pleasure of staying at COFTON HOLIDAY PARK and I can confidently say it was one of the most delightful experiences we’ve ever had.

From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless, welcoming, and absolutely perfect.
The accommodation was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail was evident, with thoughtful touches like cozy linens, well-equipped kitchens, and even a welcome pack that made us feel right at home.

The facilities were outstanding! The pool was pristine, the kids’ play areas were safe and engaging, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals with plenty of options for all dietary preferences.

The location was another highlight. Nestled in a picturesque setting, it offered breathtaking views and easy access to nearby attractions. Whether we were exploring local trails, relaxing by the beach, or enjoying the park’s activities, there was never a dull moment.

Finally, the staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. Their warmth and professionalism truly made a difference.
I can’t recommend COFTON HOLIDAY PARK enough! Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly retreat, a romantic escape, or just a peaceful break, this place has it all. We’re already booked our next visit for 2026 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amazing week at Cofton! Our tent pitch was perfectly placed in the orchard, not far from showers/toilets and the main complex yet was very quiet
Toilet and shower block were always clean and were frequently checked. Hot water always available
Had to contact the warden a couple of times when we were pitching and they were so helpful
Shop on site stocks everything you could need and not over priced either
Carvery excellent!
Nice walk down to the beach and in the opposite direction there was a lovely pub. Train station within half an hour walk
Will definitely return!

The best campsite in Dawlish. The effort these guys put into the outside area is immense.

Great selection of food. Quality pools and gym and bike track. Ideal for families with young ones with plenty of parks and activities.

Amelias we have eaten in twice , I am an ex chef by trade and was a good choice on the menu.i ordered the beef brisket and noticed it came with onio rings spicy cajun wedges and corn on the cob and onion rings. So I said to the you waiter do I get 2 lots of onion rings and poited out the error . He admitted he had never noticed it and I was the first person to say so . He said he would tell his supervisor who was a young girl with a foreign accent and her attitude was tell her to see how many mistakes she can spot on drinks menu which I classed as very rude and the poor lad was embarrassed.

Been to this park twice now and have to say it’s a beautiful location. The park is clean and staff are helpful and friendly but in low supply, definitely need more staff behind the bar during busy periods.
This weekend was a country music theme and I have to say the entertainment was fantastic. The staff entertainment team are fantastic and previously saw the ABBA show by Ffion and Leona top quality, you’d not see better elsewhere. Country weekend saw tributes to Shania and Dolly both brilliant , but the sound quality could’ve been much better. Staff ents team did what they could with poor sound and delivered a fun line dancing experience. The kids loved the balloons and adults loved the bingo.
This park is a must if you want a base to explore Devon.

Check in at 4pm so there was one day wasted.out the so called five days and 4 nights.
Caravan itself was as expected.
Allocated swimming slots for an hour then every half hour. Found to be ridiculous and over priced. With not much fun for kids or adults in terms of toys in the pool. Bit naf. The onsite shop was very over priced.
Location was lovely.
Evening entertainment was horrific. 5pm amd its bascially rave music for kids whilst they wait to get dots painted on their faces.. crap! The two females who do mist of the talking over the mic for kids takeover etc found them to be very rude, opinionated towards the parents of the children and critical. Did not come across very popular with majority of the parents whilst I was was their.
Parking was substantial.
Found the entertainment onsite to not be very busy nor popular with some of the guests we spoke with.
For a cheap get away its fine just cancel out the evening entertainment and swimming and go else where, which we did on our last day. It was more enjoyable then the site.

Check in was appalling. Overpriced electricity doesn't work and has to be fixed Three times in 1 hour which involved long walks around the site and trying to track down a member of staff as nobody answered the emergency number when reception closed, was told restaurant would be open but it wasn't, toilet block closed despite park full, staff are argumentative and rude if you complain when things go wrong even though it's their fault,

We’ve just had a week at cofton holiday park and I have to say what a beautiful place it is. The park itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained and the accommodation was luxurious, we stayed in a cottage with a hot tub which was in a beautiful spot to sit and relax whilst watching the kestrel and the deer running around. The cottage had everything you could want or need for a relaxing stay, from the welcome hamper of locally sourced goods to the towels, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, cleaning supplies, iron, dressing gowns and everything else you could think of. The beds are amazing and all made up ready to fall into after a busy day on the park. The facilities are endless something for everyone I’m not sure you could fit them all in if you tried! The Sunday carvery is excellent value for money and very tasty. They really have thought of everything and more. We’ve stayed at most of the parks in Dawlish but have to say Cofton is really the best. It wasn’t our first time staying there and it definitely won’t be our last. I can’t recommend it more, just go you won’t be disappointed.

For some reason this site has a shortage of catering staff. There are good facilities but service is terribly slow and the FOH staff seem to care little about their jobs or the customers. It takes no effort to at least acknowledge a customer waiting to be served and I was frequently ignored in Amelia's and The Swan. In Amelia's it took me 40 minutes to get a coffee on one occasion and the staff milling around were very blasé and in no hurry to complete their tasks. In the Swan we had to send food back which had quite obviously been sat under a hot lamp for some time and I feel sorry for the kitchen staff having to constantly chase for food to be run but then with 1 person, serving, clearing ad delivering food this is inevitable. Quite why the Warren Retreat has such a long bar with only 1 person serving drinks in the evening I don't know but thank goodness the customers formed an orderly queue otherwise it would have been complete chaos.
Aside from the poor catering service there are lots of facilities and these are by and large kept very clean throughout the day and night. It is a large site with lots of accommodation options and the area we camped in (Orchard) was fairly quiet despite it being the start of the summer school holidays.

I am so sorry to have to write such a review and this is the only time I have ever written a bad review.

Booked whole afternoon of treatments in the spa for last Friday. They cancelled day before they rebooked me for today. I explained I was attending a wedding abroad going tomorrow and if there was any fear they would cancel again could they let me know now and I would have a chance to book else where. I also said if they had to cancel could they at least let me know the day before.

Assured me that they understood and would do so. Drove over from Honiton to spa got there and was told all your treatments are cancelled 😡 then said we tried to call ??? To let you know no calls received despite the fact they had called week before, apparently had wrong number and apparently tried to email but the emails had bounced back no email received . I then asked if I could have my deposits refunded and she couldn’t find them and said if I email.

Would not recommend to any one it’s not about staff being sick it’s about customer service and caring for the people who spend money at your park and local people as when the holiday makers go home that’s who helps keep you afloat. I explained I had driven over 30 miles there and now had drive 31 miles back no mention of any compensation of any kind. Unhelpful and unprofessional I would not use again ever and do not recommend and suggest the park get a professional beautician . I have used the previous lady who has left I wander why she was wonderful professional and reliable. Using my husband log in as don’t have one of my own.

Went for a fishing weekend partner has a walking problem at the moment, so we asked to be near the fishing lake, was asked for another £15 extra to be near the lake
Got to the reception and was put right at the other end of the site, asked to move and they said no pitches left
talking to a family who wanted to be closer to the swinging pool and was put near the fishing lake
Had to then pay extra for electric, put money on an account and then electric would not work, someone checked out the meter and said it was my lead checked lead on pitch next door and was working fine
We left as could not fish and no electric
Every time you went to reception to get things sorted you queued for 15 minutes
This used to be a good site now all they interested in is your money
No customer Service
sent an email of complaint not Even a reply
Better sites in the area with better customer service and better prices.

Like everyone else on here they are all sbout money, charge for absolutely everything they can. Electric on pitches, even though pitches aren't cheap to begin with, which then didn't work. £25 for 3 of us to swim for 2 days! outdoor pool free but freezing.
Paid morefor a super pitch, got a miserable gravel pitch without a blade of grass on it, sharp gravel you needed shoes on, dogs could hardly walk on it, trying to get pegs in was a joke. Pitch crammed in amongst other pitches and lodges, whole site is rammed in on top of each other, all about money.
Lodge right on top of us partied loudly til all hours, security said they were at least 20 mins away and to tell them to be quiet myself!!!
Very noisy main road. Horrible greedy site, no joy of camping and the lovely outdoors to be found here I'm afraid.

We recently spent a wonderful weekend camping at Cofton Holidays with our children, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel right at home.

The campsite itself was immaculate, with clean and well-maintained facilities. The washrooms and showers were spotless, which made our stay even more comfortable. Our children absolutely loved the swimming pools; both the indoor and outdoor options were great, and the water was perfectly heated.

There were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, and we appreciated the beautiful walking trails and scenic surroundings. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and fun, allowing us to create wonderful memories as a family.

We highly recommend Cofton Holidays to anyone looking for a family-friendly camping destination. We can’t wait to return for another visit!

We just got back from an unforgettable stay in one of Cofton Holidays’ fabulous lodges with a hot tub, and let me tell you, we’ve found our new favorite hideaway! The lodge was like a five-star hotel room had a baby with a countryside cottage – fully equipped, insanely comfortable, and boasting views that could make a postcard jealous.

The hot tub was our personal slice of heaven, perfect for soaking in after a day of exploring. And the WiFi? Really fast! making it hard to choose between streaming our favorite shows and just staring out at the stunning scenery.

My wife enjoyed her daily swim in the pristine indoor pool while I lived out my fisherman dreams at the on-site fishing lakes.

We’re in a bit of a pickle now. Do we rave about Cofton Holidays to all our friends, or keep this hidden gem to ourselves? Decisions, decisions. Cofton is your go-to. But shhh, let’s keep this between us, okay?

We recently stayed at Cofton Holidays in our motorhome with our two dogs, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay.

The motorhome pitches were spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable base for our holiday. We were thrilled with the dedicated dog walking area – it was a perfect space for our dogs to run and play freely. The new dog wash facilities were a brilliant addition, making it easy to keep our furry friends clean after their adventures.

One of the highlights of our stay was the lovely walk to Dawlish Warren. The scenic route was enjoyable for both us and our dogs, and the views along the way were stunning. After our walks, we often relaxed at the on-site bar, which had a welcoming atmosphere and great service.

Cofton Holidays has truly thought of everything to make a stay with dogs enjoyable and hassle-free. We highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with pets. We will definitely be coming back for another stay soon!

Never used this company and never will. Bombarding me with their adverts. Scam??

Been using this site for over 10 years but in the last couple years the focus is shifting to money,money,money. Pitch fees rising electric meters added , costing £3 a day to run fridge and TV, more than at home , service and services going backwards and bar prices up nearly two pound a pint on last year

So disappointed with Cofton. This is without doubt one of the best holiday parks in the South West. Spend ££££'s each close down, with one major exception. STAFF! We have been visiting this park for a number of years. The organising of the the food and drinks is quite honestly abysmal. This park opens each year at Easter and is always fully
booked,just as it was this year. The weather was a major disadvantage for the park with grass pitches still open, that left the management team aith a massive challenge. Despite our issues that evening/days, they were totally understood and accepted. 10/10 and thank you. The biggest problems are when you enter the entertainment areas. The bars/restaurant ordering points are TOTALLY INADEQUATE. This evening we were told that the mitchen had ran out of food...this was around 830, but we could order pizza 5 minutes later after a quick phone call to my family, that changes and the very stressed staff said this was now not possible. The queue for the order point for the bar and food was 8 people deep and run by one person.....plenty of videos available, although there was 2 people stood around at the swimming pool re eption that had shut an hour before.....shambles of management in my opinion. This was on top of the previous night at the family club room, must hold 500+ people. 2 people working behind the bar taking orders for food and drinks, yet again many unhappy customers,with little apparent concern by staff. Been coming here for many years and seen this so many times and still no improvement, someone in the senior management needs to desl with it.....send a secret shopper to HRU in Brean and see the staffing numbers in the Bars/restaurant...

Love Cofton, just cant pit up with the lack of customer respect.
