Beach Cottage, Coldbackie is a wonderfully comfortable cottage with stunning views.
This was our first visit to Tongue and we couldn’t have been more comfortable and relaxed in Beach Cottage. The views are just superb. Everything you needed was provided in the cottage – a lovely, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of space. The bedroom was really comfortable and a hairdryer was even provided – perfect! There was plenty of information on hand with lots of brochures, maps and booklets to refer to and help us decide on where to visit/walk. We could not have been better looked after. We definitely plan to return!

This was our second visit to Beach Cottage. Perfect accommodation for a family of four, with great spaces for dining, cooking and playing music and games. It's a beautiful spot, and handy for Tongue, only 20 minutes to Bettyhill on the other side. The hosts are very hospitable and responsive.

We'll be back!

We stayed in Beach Cottage Coldbackie again as the view is amazing.
I love the woodburners and that the house has everything we need for wonderful family holidays.

Our 2nd visit to Lochside and we loved it before…now it’s even more amazing. The new back door makes unpacking luggage and shopping even easier, the new kitchen is beautifully fitted out and has anything that you may need…Dishwasher, washer/dryer, full size fridge freezer…even an air fryer (although we didn’t use that!) We remember the bed being super comfortable with crisp white cotton bedding…no change there!
New radiators to keep you toasty, new armchairs so you’re comfortable, super fast fibre if you want that, too.
We love the peaceful setting with views from every window, the friendly welcome from Emily and Barry, the proximity to Farr Beach for the dog to chase his ball into the sea…we hope to be back again!
