I have been trying to sell my apartment in the Whitehouse Apartments on the Southbank for several years without success. Recently I appointed Bernadette Teuma of Coldwell Banker as my agent. Although the apartment was rented out, Bernadette being the force of nature that she is managed to persuade the tenants to allow viewings and in no time found an excellent buyer with the necessary funds available to buy the apartment. There were a number of issues arising throughout the buying process and Bernadette dealt with these expertly and sensitively whilst always keeping me informed. Well done Bernadette.

I got to know Bernadette through property viewing. She always understood in the middle during the communication with the seller, considering the interests of both parties and helping me to make the deal. Although I didn't move forward due to my personal reasons, my contact with her made me feel that she was very sincere, professional, honest, enthusiastic, willing to help her clients and provide all the help she could. Bernadette has been fantastic to deal with. When I was looking around Blackfriars to rent a small pied-a-terre, she went above and beyond and helped locate the perfect pad in southbank tower. Her team was also very proactive wherever I had issues in the flat. Having rented with her for several years, I’m now looking to buy, and she has proven equally proactive in letting me know when places come up for sale (as I’m quite particular about the right aspect). With other agencies I found that I register and get shown irrelevant apartments and then forgotten about. My wife and I have bought sold many houses around world. But we recently bought a flat for the first time, on an upper floor in the South Bank Tower on the river Thames in London. Sounds like it should be simple, right? Well it turns out that transacting on a flat is a whole lot more complex than it is on a house. You have building management and their fees, the leaseholder, sitting tenants, safety legislation and many other considerations, all if which were new to us. Although Bernadette at Coldwell Banker was officially working for the seller, she was in invaluable help to us as well. She knows her patch in London extremely well: whats for sale, whats available off market, what might be for sale and whats coming. She gave us a great education, showed us some off market gems, and held our hands through many twists and turns. On top of which she is a human dynamo and great fun.
