College Transitions completely changed my college application journey for the better. Working with Michael and Emily made the whole process so much less stressful. Michael was always so kind, supportive, and honest, and he helped me with everything from course selection to finding summer programs and making sure my applications were as strong as possible. Emily was an amazing writing coach because she helped me organize a timeline for every supplemental essay, brainstorm ideas, and improve my writing while still letting my essays be my own. They both gave me so much confidence throughout the entire process, and I always felt like they truly cared about helping me succeed. I could not have asked for a better team, and I am so grateful for everything they did for me.

Thanks to them I am attending my dream school, Wake Forest, and was done with applications by November, which I never thought was possible! Highly recommend College Transitions!!

The entire setup at College Transitions is outstanding. Throughout the process, I have been able to meet with co-founders Dr. Trivette and Dr. Belasco to develop a clear plan of action and had access to resources that would have taken me countless hours to find on my own. The essay coaching from Ms. Yoffee was phenomenal as well.

What stood out most to me was how responsive and organized everyone was throughout the process. Whenever I had questions about my essays, extracurriculars, or application strategy, I always had someone knowledgeable to ask.

The results speak for themselves. Out of the 13 colleges I applied to, I was immediately rejected by only one, and I received special opportunities and honors at multiple others.

College Transitions played an instrumental role in helping my son, navigate the college admissions process and ultimately earn acceptances from several top‑tier universities, including Stanford, Northwestern, and Rice. My son worked closely with Adrienne, who guided him through academic planning, the Common App setup, recommendations, résumé building, and the activities list, etc. She was consistently patient and thorough, reviewing every draft with him multiple times and ensuring he understood each step and followed the deadlines. For writing, Rene supported my son on his personal statement and all college‑specific essays. She took the time to understand his background and voice, and her editorial feedback was thoughtful, constructive, and never rushed. They refined his personal statement through more than ten drafts, and not once did she show impatience—only commitment to helping him express himself authentically.

Good, in love using it

We were referred to Michael and Andrew to help in our decision regarding should our senior son go to college and if so, what might be good options. We were at a loss because high school counselors were not giving helpful recommendations. I want to say in the beginning, the experience was EXTRAORDINARY and far surpassed our expectations. Michael and Andrew were able to understand our son, identify his strengths and weaknesses, and make solid and specific recommendations. Ultimately, he was accepted to all four colleges to which he applied that were recommended. He was supported in both his filling out his college applications to highlight his strengths and help with his college essay was fantastic. Michael and Andrew then referred us to a tutoring service for SAT and he was able to raise his scores 300 points to qualify him for Florida bright future scholarship! The individualized recommendations and attention that our son received in the process was amazing. If you have concerns about the cost, we ultimately achieved scholarship money that was otherwise unobtainable and far exceeded the cost of this program; it is so worth the investment! Additionally, the self-confidence gained by our son throughout this process is invaluable.

Michael and his team provided excellent support, resources, encouragement, realistic advice/expectations, and made the entire process so much smoother than I ever could have imagined. Never did I once feel overwhelmed by the workload of applications or that I didn’t know where I stood or what my next steps were— I always felt that I was putting my best foot forward after applying their advice.
