We worked closely with the team at College Transitions for our daughter's ultimate acceptance into a number of schools, including some top tier colleges (Bates and CMU). Their standard process of working with kids is great, but what impressed me the most was their responsiveness to one-off questions. They always emailed or called back quickly. Would 100% work with college transitions again.

Typically, it isn't easy to work with counselors who are helping multiple students at the same time. Micheal and Taylor, however, always had a timely response to my emails. This definitely made my application process far less frustrating, just knowing that whenever I had a question, I could email them and get an answer quickly. Another thing I love about College Transitions is that although they help you get into top, prestigious schools, they care about what is the best thing for you and your interests. I ended up not applying to some of the schools Michael suggested for me, but these colleges all seemed to be a great fit for me and my interests. That showed how much he cared about what my life would look like after the entire application process.

To me, the most important thing was being able to work directly with a writing coach, which is not something most college consulting services offer. Instead of blindly writing essay after essay to have it edited by someone I didn't even know, I got to go through the entire essay-writing process with my writing coach - from deciding on the themes and content of each essay to drafting and polishing them.

Anyone who wants to work with a warm, friendly counselor and seriously think about their fit and happiness in college should choose College Transitions!

I was interested in College Admissions because I read their articles and they seemed insightful and direct. Our son worked with Michael and he developed a respect for Michael's opinions. Finding the 'right fit' for our son's applications was daunting, but Michael listened intently to Ben's values and helped shape a stong list of 'reach, target and back-up' schools. He encouraged Ben to dig into the difficult task of preparing for his applications, but, most importantly, he was calm and always reminded us that our son would find the right fit. Our son just completed his sophomore year at Rice University and is thriving, not only academically, but, most importantly, emotionally and socially as well. We are grateful for Michael's invaluable guidance during our son's pivotal time and have since recommended him to family and friends. They have also been extremely impressed with his expertise and their children are also thriving in their respective schools.

In wanting to transfer to a different college, I relied on help from College Transitions to curate the perfect list of colleges to apply to. They helped me with all areas of my applications as well as giving me terrific advice along the way. Christina W. was ever so patient and helpful with my essay work while Andrew B. kindly answered every question I asked. I had excellent results from my applications allowing me to select where to attend from a stellar list of colleges. I'll be attending a top 10 university in the Fall.

We've used Michael Trivette as a college counselor for both of my boys, spaced 5 years apart. We were particularly interested in finding the best "fit" college and Michael was helpful in assisting our boys with exploring different ideas about that. The program is excellent - in terms of keeping organized and on top of things and the help with essays - from brainstorming to editing was very helpful. Could not recommend Michael and his team highly enough!

I highly recommend College Transitions. During my senior year in high school, I mainly worked with Andrew and a personal essay advisor. Andrew was readily available to answer any questions and gave me realistic expectations throughout the college application process. My personal essay advisor, Christina, was extremely helpful. She always worked to elevate my essays and helped me brainstorm ideas. Christina never pressured me to write about specific ideas and instead, always uplifted my own unique ideas. As a result, I felt extremely independent while writing my college essays with an aidful outlet when needed. Overall, I loved the flexibility College Transitions provided and found it much easier to incorporate into my student-athlete life.

I had a very positive experience with College Transitions. When I started with them in the Spring of 2021, I was a junior in high school and very overwhelmed by the college application process. From the get-go, Andrew Belasco and Michael Trivette supported all my needs, concerns, and requests. They helped me narrow down my application list, gave me lengthy and helpful descriptions of each school I applied to, and used my high school statistics to give me a general idea of what I could expect acceptance-wise for each school on my list. Andrew thoroughly looked over my Common App and gave me knowledgeable advice to help my applications look polished. When it became time for me to pick the school in which I wanted to spend my next four years, Andrew and Michael were quick to schedule a meeting with me to discuss my options. I'm so pleased to have had College Transitions as a guide throughout the strenuous college application process. Now, two years after I first reached out to Andrew Belasco and Michael Trivette, I am a happy and proud student at The College of William & Mary.

The College Transitions team was extremely helpful to me throughout my college application process. They were invaluable in curating the right list of schools for my academic interests and in identifying targeted summer activities that would augment my application. They were also extremely responsive answering questions, reviewing applications, and preparing for interviews. I also appreciated them keeping me very organized and on track throughout a very daunting and overwhelming process. In addition, Rae, my assigned essay coach, was an absolute rockstar, helping me write 47 essays! I am forever grateful and, as a result of all their guidance and support, I will be attending my dream school, UNC Chapel Hill, in the Fall.

They worked with me helping me explore and find ideas I would never have thought of, and taught me how to open my mind to different areas to make the essay that much better. Also taught me techniques on how to grab the audiences attention and how to hook them in to make them feel like they are in the story!

College Transitions is an incredible college advising team. They are punctual, communicative, supportive, and beneficial. Their writing tutors are phenomenal, and always bring in new facets and advice to aid in the essay development journey. It is evident that each and every member of College Transitions deeply cares about their students, and I am extremely grateful for all of their guidance.

During my junior year, I started working with College Transitions and Andrew. Andrew is very knowledgeable about the admissions process and his guidance was crucial throughout the application process. The College Transitions team supported me in making every important decision, from picking the right courses for my senior year and creating a balanced college list.

My experience with College Transitions was a very helpful and comforting experience. I felt supported from the first meeting all the way to the last. I was able to voice my concerns and ideas, and was validated throughout my journey with both my Common Application essay and my supplemental essays for each school I applied to. Our daughter ended up getting accepted early to one of her "reach" schools - a public ivy that has a very competitive admissions process. This will allow us to take advantage of four years of state-paid tuition. I believe the investment in CT helped make that happen. We signed up for College Transitions to allow for full support beginning in our daughter's junior year. Meeting with Andrew and Michael before junior year was super helpful to get assistance with picking classes (i.e. dual enrollment versus AP) and to cut through the "noise" of what your teen needs to be focused on during their junior year. Kids can't be everywhere and need to preserve their time for what really matters and CT helps with that in spades. Partnering with CT allowed my daughter to understand and adhere to a college application time frame that was well thought thru and really took the pressure of me to "step in". Andrew and Michael know their stuff - they stay very up to date on the latest application news with the individual colleges and also know that rankings are only part of the puzzle (it's finding the best school for YOUR kid at the end of the day).

I am an immigrant and have no idea about the college application process. I am extremely pleased by the guidance and assistance in every step of my son’s application process. Michael has been always ready for help when questions were raised. My son gets in his dream school and we really appreciate the help from the College Transition. The College Transitions team was nothing less than amazing! They are very knowledgable about the application process. We got all of our questions answered very swiftly, regardless of nights, weekends, or holidays. (We are in pacific time zone). The team was very responsive. Furthermore, their internal flow management system is great in keeping you informed of where you are in the process, what is needed from you, and what is completed. College Transitions was truly one of the best investments I've ever made in my entire life! As a first-generation college student with a recently deceased parent, I was completely clueless when applying to colleges. My guidance counselor wasn't helpful and my resources were limited due to attending a small school. This is where College Transitions came in! They helped explain the whole college application process to me in in-depth but understandable terms and provided me with the framework to apply to colleges "effortlessly". With guidance and a set to-do list of what each college required, it was much easier to stay organized with every application's requirement. Not only that but College Transitions gives you a very insightful description of every college/university imaginable: the campus culture, undergrad size, tuition, majors, and more! They help you decide your reach/target, safety schools, and my favorite, the essay teachers. WOW are these talented people! My essay teacher was so kind, intelligent, and quick to get back to me on all my essays! We had many brainstorming sessions and she always helped me bring my ideas to life! I've even had a few compliments in acceptance letters. Speaking of acceptance, I got accepted into most of the schools I applied to (with some having under 50% acceptance rate) and never felt lost along the way. Their guidance was truly unmatched and I firmly believe I wouldn't have completed the college application process without them. Live changing service for sure!

This was my second child to take advantage of the college transitions program. The overall experience exceeded my expectations, again! Focused, structured and effective! This was exactly what we needed. I have no doubt we will be back for grad school!

Andrew, Michael, and Mariya (my writing coach) helped me to navigate the college admissions process with ease by always answering my questions promptly and providing useful advice to improve my applications. I was able to stay on top of all my essays with Mariya's help, and I felt that my writing skills improved significantly over the course of the admissions process.
