My original booking was apparently dropped by the driver, but the company arranged for a replacement driver. It all went well on the day of moving, and the new driver was friendly and helpful.

Super quick, extremely helpful getting loaded/unloaded. Highly recommend.

Rather choppy as told last minute they didn’t have a Luton van- and someone else would be coming which was infuriating to be told at last minute!
When the second driver turned up he-came in a transit van which was far too small- so we had to do two loads which extended our time for finishing.
However, van driver was very helpful and
accommodating and completed the run and packed the van very well.

The driver was 30min late. He didn’t want to meet me at the location and expected me to walk to him which was 10min away from the location put into the booking. I tried to speak to him on the phone 4 times but he was very aggressive and only thing that helped was going through customer service to get him to come to the correct location. When he arrived he wasn’t pleasant either.

No one called the day before to confirm. I had to chase them myself just to confirm the booking, and even then none of the extra costs were mentioned. The furniture dismantle/install fee only got confirmed a day prior at 4pm Sunday. Already way too late to switch to another company. Then on the day, the driver Charles Oksoi told me extra hourly charge £90 on top even only 1 min pass. I went straight on the call that although we have 3 people, but I'm injured. My cousins aren't suppose to do the heavy work. One of the helper eventually stayed in the car aren't helping, leaving 4 people managing all these. When only 15 mins left, they slow down on purpose.
We went over the quoted time by literally 5 minutes and got hit with an extra £90 for it.
Quote was around £135, final bill came to £275 for just over 2 hours. More than double what I was told upfront. Feels like they deliberately hold back the real costs until you're already locked in and have no way out. On top of that, their attitude is very rude.

I've moved 9 times in my life, never had this kind of experience. Won't be using them again, and would think twice before booking.

Super easy booking process, driver was reliable, very friendly, on time. Didn't think I was going to be able to find someone the night before I needed a van to an acceptable price. This was great. No complaints at all.

I definitely do not recommend this company.
I ordered a medium van to transport a mattress. However, the driver Mr Adedayo claimed that a medium van was too small to carry a mattress with a length of 1.80 m. Consequently, he said he would send a larger van but demanded an extra charge. Ultimately, the driver refused to show up just few hours before the scheduled time, leaving me completely without transport. At the same time, I received an email from the company stating that the refund for the money I had already paid would take up to 10 working days !!

Very helpful . Turned up on time. Worked fast but carefully . Very reasonably priced. Very friendly and made the job easy.

Had a less than stellar experience with a driver recommended by them. Contacted them twice about it, both times they were unresponsive. They've gone completely downhill. Will NEVER use these people to help facilitate a man and van for me again. Awful service. Should be ashamed of themselves!

Ordered the van last minute and was able to get one that fit all my stuff. Although the booking process is very elusive to the size of the van you get, I thought I paid for a large van only to be told by the man that it is a medium van. Also the price is a bit much to be paying for only the van and no help. Having to pay extra on the day wasn’t helpful. Overall the last minute-ness of my request was respected so 4 stars from me.

The driver was rude and disrespectful. Unacceptable behaviour, especially given the service is certainly not cheap!

I had a very poor experience with this platform. From my perspective, the service appears far more focused on taking payment quickly than on providing reliable support when things go wrong.

I booked four separate sessions: two on Friday and two on Saturday. The first two went ahead without any major issues, but the Saturday bookings were extremely disappointing. I cancelled one myself, and the other was a complete no-show.

Weekend support was particularly frustrating. The platform accepted payment, but when I needed help, there was no meaningful communication or assistance available. This made the whole situation unnecessarily stressful.

The drivers also did not seem to have enough background information about the service they were expected to provide, which added to the confusion and lack of professionalism.

Despite making several attempts to contact the platform, I have still not received any acknowledgement or proper response.

The biggest issue was not necessarily the drivers themselves, but the platform’s poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to provide support when it was needed most.

Driver asked me to transfer £25 to his personal account as the lift in my apartment was broken. Although I’d stated that.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company. My partner and I booked two legs of our move through this platform. The day before the first leg, we called the driver to double check everything was good for the next day. The driver told us they never received the booking from Compare the Man and Van and would not be accepting it, as the fee the company takes is too high. We were left on a Sunday night with no van to complete our move the next day. Our move was meant to start at 9.45am. Up to and beyond that time, it showed on this platform as accepted and ready to go. We eventually got a refund from Compare the Man and Van but they made no attempt to find us a replacement driver, we had to do that ourselves. We then contacted them to ask to cancel the second leg of our move given this experience with the first, and they refused. Will never be using this company again.

The driver was four hours late. He didn't give me notice prior to the scheduled time, only half and hour *after* he was supposed to arrive, he texted saying he will come in 3h. Overall the waiting time was 4 hours.
