Worse move ever. I booked 2h and the guys had only 1 hour for us. They throw stuff around and careless of the furniture caused many damages to wall, doors and leather sofa. I would not suggest this nightmare to anyone!

The driver changed the time 2 hours before arriving, very rude, while we booked 2h, he had just 1 hour free, he throwed stuff around and push through doors and stairs. I have now 2 doors badly chipped, stairs and 2 doors scarfed, 1 leather new sofa was scarfed while moving the lorry platform up. This caused almost £3000 damage to goods and newly refurbished property.

Frank was great. Friendly, professional, punctual (arrived 5 min early), brought a bigger van than I booked as I didn’t know what size I needed, helped us move everything including a heavy sofa down 4 flights of stairs, let us (2 passengers) ride in the van with him. I would definitely use Frank again in future.

The drivers broke multiple of my items. They broke a bottle of wine and a few more kitchenwares and threw it away so that I wouldn’t see. They broke a vase for my plants then hid the piece on a different box and put a different pot on the floor to mask it. They broke the shoe cabinet and threw away the missing piece so I can’t even fix. Multiple plants were damaged also. When I brought these to the driver attentions he refused to use his insurance on it. Apparently because I didn’t tell him straight away. His expectation is for you to open and check each and every of your items in boxes to make sure all is fine. He is not to be trusted as he accused me of lying and that none of those things happened. Also when he first arrived to my place he stank of weed, and so did the van. So I really do not suggest this driver.

Robert was right on time and very professional, he knew exactly what to load first in the van. Everything went smooth and super fast both at loading and unloading. Highly recommend!

Expected driver at 12 noon, received text in morning to tell me the driver & helper were on their way. At 12:10 tried to find out what was happening & finally found an email sent at 11am to tell me no-one was coming & no replacement was found. I had to move out that day & this was totally stressful, with little time for me to find a solution. What made it worse was the generic impersonal email from Compare The Man And Van & the lack of a phone number to speak to someone.

The driver arrived early, he was well equiped with a trolley for the boxes and blanquets. He was nice, friendly and most importantly very efficient. I would hire him again. Thank you

Driver was argumentative, impatient and disrespectful.

My parents and I removed my belongings from my storage unit and had them ready to load at the pickup location when the driver arrived. Firstly, he insisted that I should have ordered a Large van as the Medium was insufficient for my belongings. I knew this was untrue as I had originally transported my belongings in a Small van, and ordered a Medium in order to have more than enough space. After some back-and-forth, he packed in my belongings and they fit into the Medium van with plenty of space to spare (taking maybe 60% of the total volume of the van loading space).

I communicated with the driver clearly that my parents and I had an additional stop to make before driving to the dropoff location and that he would need to wait 20 min or so at the dropoff location for us once he arrived. He understood and agreed to wait for us.

After we had made our additional stop and arrived at the dropoff location, we discovered that the driver had unloaded my belongings to the ground floor of the building, and was beginning to drive away. I intercepted him and clarified that I needed his help to carry my belongings to the second floor (which was clear from my booking), and he argued with myself and my mother saying that we were not present when he arrived and therefore he did not need to help us carry my belongings to the second floor. This was frustrating as I had booked a 2h30min slot and it had not been even 1 hour at that stage. I also needed him to help carry up stairs as my parents and I would not have been able to manage by ourselves. We had done all of the moving on the collection side and so did not feel it was unreasonable that he would stick around for the delivery side. After some further argument, he agreed to stay and help carry my belongings up the stairs.

Eventually the moving process was completed to standard, but the driver's customer service and interaction with my parents and I was seriously upsetting.

My booking was made with all relevant details and so the driver should not have had any unexpected responsibilities.

I would not recommend this driver to anyone.

Napoleon Transport was great - very helpful, friendly and understanding. The driver was on time, reliable and careful with my boxes/things.

Roman was very helpful. The move was quick and effortless. Had plenty of extra tools and equipment on hand. All in all we were fully moved in under two hours.

Vasile was superb. Very helpful and was on time. I would definitely be hiring again.

Driver did the job, but I found him reluctant, non-communicative and slightly careless (he let me arrange the things in his van, and at the end didn't care to cover them with blankets or secure them against movements).

The driver was great, really helpful and kind. We would love to book him again. As for the platform, Compare Man and Van told him to come 2 hours earlier than what we booked. We ended up needing to rush and forgot to pack some things which was a bummer.

Booking from SHIFT was confirmed 24 days before moving. Driver never showed up. Called him 15 times, rang through every time with no answer. Complained via the website and nothing came through. Finally gave up after four hours and sent through a message confirming I'd booked a much more expensive replacement and very quickly got confirmation via email that a refund was in process. Confusing and terrible Comms.

Have used the service once previously and went well, but thoroughly disappointed here.

My driver did not do the job. He came to the property, looked around, went back to his car and drove off. He never moved one item and left us with no idea how to move house, even though the booking was made well in advance. He led us in a very difficult position and also, was paid fully in advance and gave no advice on how I should be refunded. I’m very upset by this situation and feel completely helpless and uncertain how to proceed.

Van booked for 17/10/24 to move household items. Service was fine, however upon arrival the driver refused to start until he was paid additional cash. Driver claimed he was underpaid and it left me with a problem - send driver away and try to recover booking payment and schedule another service for another time, or pay the extra cash to get the job done.
