However, to fully understand and respond to the issues you are raising, we would ask that you contact us directly at communications@compasscommunity.co.uk and include “Trustpilot” in the subject line, so this can be looked into properly by the appropriate team.

We’re very sorry to read that this has been your experience. Fostering often involves deeply emotional and difficult situations, particularly where decisions are made that affect children and the adults caring for them.

For safeguarding and privacy reasons, we cannot comment on individual circumstances in a public forum, especially where children and young people are involved. That said, the safety, wellbeing and best interests of children and young people are central to our work, so we take any concern suggesting otherwise very seriously.

We would welcome the opportunity to understand what has happened from your perspective.

What you’ve said really captures something we believe in strongly: technical skills can be learned, but the heart to make a genuine difference in children’s lives is truly special. That willingness to keep showing up for them, day after day, is what matters most, and it’s clear to us you bring that in abundance.

We’re also really glad the training and support around technology have made a real difference for you. No one should ever feel held back by unfamiliar systems or feel they have to figure things out alone. That’s exactly why we work hard to make sure the right training and support are in place, so foster parents like you, who have so much to offer the children in their care, can focus on what truly matters.

Please know that support doesn’t stop after induction. We’re always here, every step of the way, for as long as you’re with us.

Thank you again for everything you do for the children you support. Reviews like yours are a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do.

Thank you for your feedback, Jasmine.
At Compass, we try to streamline the assessment process as much as possible, however due to each case being so unique, we must account for the level of complexity that brings.

Our panels are designed as a form of recommendation and once complete, even when a recommendation is made, we MUST delve in the details provided and conduct rigorous investigations/checks before giving the green light to foster parents. This is necessary for safeguarding and to ensure that placements are set up for success from day one.

Thank you for taking the time and committing the energy to the process. We are sorry that unfortunately in this instance that things didn’t work out as we had all hoped.

Safeguarding children remains our highest priority at all times. We are guided by the relevant legislation, statutory responsibilities, and safeguarding frameworks that underpin our work, and we are committed to following these requirements carefully and consistently. This means adhering fully to the agreed assessment and decision-making process, including thorough checks, detailed consideration of all information, and robust oversight, to ensure that decisions are made safely, appropriately, and in the best interests of children.
