Style over substance. Guildford. Great decor, macdonalds food, small portions, unremarkable is the best compliment one can give the service. A place to visit once. I predict this chain will be gone in a few years.

We went for dinner. Our table server appeared arrogant, and looked like he didn't want to be there. Service was just the pits. Food was caked in oil, terrible, would never dream of going back, wish i read the reviews first! Plus, loads of mice in the area you sit out in....

Very Disappointing indeed.
I called the Sonning venue with the hope of having a 60th birthday at the venue. The Manager was helpful and asked if I could put my request in an email so that he could forward this to the sales team so they could get back to me. nothing, NOTHING AT ALL has been received despite chasing twice, not even we have no availability.
As part of the request we needed 25 rooms, so it wasn't just a large table for 50/60 guests! There was not only money to be spent but I had also suggested Streatley for my nephew for a possible wedding venue as well as a business colleague who was looking for a Pilates retreat in 2026.
Such beautiful settings but zero customer service from sales

I booked a 2-night stay at The Great House in Sonning for my husband’s birthday, carefully planning a special weekend with a distillery tour, restaurants, and other activities. I spent hours researching and organising everything to make it memorable.

Just three hours after booking — at 9:45pm — I received a call telling me the hotel was overbooked and our stay cancelled. The receptionist said she was “happy to cancel your payment,” offering no alternative or solution. Later, the only follow-up was an automated email saying, “BOOKING CANCELLED — WE INVITE YOU TO MAKE A RESERVATION IN THE FUTURE.”

This lack of empathy and personal attention was incredibly upsetting, especially on a bank holiday weekend when options are limited. It caused unnecessary stress and disappointment, forcing me to start planning at the last minute and losing a whole evening. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend The Great House to anyone seeking considerate, reliable service or a worry-free stay.

To rub salt in the wound, I noticed that Booking.com currently has multiple rooms available at The Great House for one night over the same time period. I am genuinely shocked that the receptionist never offered this option, which could have salvaged part of our birthday weekend. Instead, we were left with no alternatives and only an automated email. This further emphasises the lack of consideration and flexibility in their customer service.

We went to Coppa Club in Goring and Streatley and had the best service! A lovely Man called Filippo served us! We also spoke to a manager named Ana and she was so kind and polite! Filippo was quick with the order and attentive to the tables needs! Definitely worth a visit here! Margarita Pizzas are Divine

Really disappointed - won’t be going back. First course arrived with no plates or cutlery, second course arrived with no cutlery - by the time we got some the meals were cold, wrong dessert arrived, not what we ordered, and then went to pay inside (couldn’t find anyone to take payment) and we were charged the wrong amount - pointed out it was 70 pounds more than our bill. Amount was corrected but the staff member (who said she was the manager) really not bothered, not interested in hearing how bad the experience had been and not particularly apologetic about charging 70 pounds too much. Really bad

6 of us went to the Streatley coppa club . The setting was excellent and we had high hopes for a lovely experience.
However we were bitterly disappointed as after waiting nearly an hour for our meal to arrive we found the food was not of the standard we were expecting. The burger and bun were burnt and could not be eaten, and it had been left standing around as it was cold , the tuna meal was also cold and not enjoyable although we did not want to make a fuss as we had already sent a meal back . The salmon meal was an inadequate size for a main course more fitting for a starter . As all of these meals are not cheap, they were very over priced and disappointing . We will not be returning or recommending

I visited coppa club a few years ago and was looking forward to my visit. I ordered a steak with thrice cooked home made chips. We had to spend £35 per head to have a bubble outside. I was served oven chips. I questioned this and the waiter lied and said they were homemade. The seats were filthy.
My steak was cooked nice but generally overpriced. The bubble was dirty and smelled foisty. Won't be going back, wouldn't recommend. I was finally given the excuse yes we changed the menu and we've had bad feedback. Well don't serve it then. I got 10% back but that's a kick in the teeth. It was my birthday meal, plus I literally had to keep repeating myself as my food insults fell on def hears.

Waited 25 minutes to be served, eventually went to collect the drinks from where they were left on the bar.
Over priced wine, even for the area you are in. Beware the service charge that they but on your bill, advised at back of drinks menu but if you just ask for the wine without the menu they do not tell you about it.
Definitely would recommend find somewhere else where your custom is appreciated.

Visited the Coppa Club in Brighton , nearly fell of my chair when I was charged £17.50 for a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
They only had one toilet in operation which was the upstairs disabled one, so long queues of people waiting along the bar area to use it, when I finally got to use it , it was dirty and the waste bin was overflowing. Not a pleasant experience will not be using this venue again.

We were a birthday party of 8 family who had booked another restaurant and when we arrived after half an hour of waiting we were told there was no table available. Our 10 year old was extremely upset but the good news is that we went along to Coppa Club in Maidenhead who warmly greeted us, found a table and looked after us admirably. Thank You to All.

I am charged £170 for parking!!!!!!!! That too for Oct 2023!!!

I'm a regular at Coppa club Henley, the service from Fatima and Litia is excellent. The food and atmosphere is excellent too, good value and a nice place to relax

We came across Coppa Club near Tower Bridge and despite none of the igloos being available we thought the menu had something for all 4 of us. The young waitress was very nice and helpful as one of our party had a food intolerance. My fish and chips was nice, not outstanding but nice, the burger was also 'nice'. The Caesar salad was a big disappointment, limp lettuce and massive 'croutons' ! There was a also a dish that was based on sweet potatoes & feta cheese but the portion was totally inadequate. Although our welcoming waitress was very good the 2 others who brought the dishes both leaned over one of the party to place the food down instead of walking round the table....not once but twice. That is not their fault that is down 100% to the management & lack of training. We weren't expecting a sliver service experience but these things are surely basic ? When we finished having paid via the QR code at the table we were approached as we got our coats on and asked how we wanted to pay !! What is the point of having the facility at the table and all but being accused of trying to do a runner

Lovely, cosy place with welcoming atmosphere, great food and wine with reasonable prices.

We were really looking forward to spending an evening here but we were really disappointed when half of the dishes featured on the menu were not available due to supplier's issue. We should have been informed when given the menu to order, not when drinks and starters were delivered and were ready to order our mains! Not acceptable! Bad management!

Appalling customer service from their management team! Gift cards are falsely advertised with incorrect expiry dates, they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it. If you purchase online they claim you get 1 year 30 days to use them, but they don’t honour this. They expire much sooner as hidden in their T&Cs. Avoid!! My emails were met with an arrogant response from Pasar their Reservations Manager Management team who it seems couldn’t care less about customers, or about acting in line with their sales claim. Thankfully I have managed to get a full refund and compensation back via my banks credit card. Seems others here have had the same experience.

Copa Club Guildford - great venue and service - disappointing food.

We had a family gathering at the Guildford venue. Although the venue was fun and vibrant and the service was lovely and professional, the quality of the coffee was awful and some of the food was poor and inedible.
Such a shame given the effort the family had put in to rendezvous after Christmas.

Just returned from lunch at the coppa club Sonning. We were greeted (or not) by a miserable looking lady that looked at us like we were a hinderance to her. And was pointed over to a table. We eventually ordered food which then took 40 minutes to arrive, bearing in mind when we ordered we were pretty much one of the only tables in there. When the food did come, one of the plates were cold and had to be returned and a burger was not cooked. We had to go to the bar to order drinks as no one was asking for a drinks order. Really disappointing. And judging by other reviews on here not a one off. You need to employ staff that might want to raise a smile especially the one that was there at 12 o’clock today to greet us, maybe she hasn’t had a good Christmas.
