Great service
I’ve purchased more than one order from Cowling and Wilcox and can’t fault them. They’re one of the only places I’ve been able to find individual colour pencils of the type I wanted and have always delivered quickly and securely with the pencils packaged well rather than sent loose. I’ve also ordered soft pastels with an equally smooth delivery.
Will definitely place further orders in the future.

I had great service from Luke in the Canterbury shop. He was so nice and helpful on the phone that I drove straight over (35mins) to buy very many canvases in the sale.. he was so enthusiastic and it matched my excitement of getting such a good sale. He also helped me get them in the car.

Expert art advice/guidance from Jack
St George's St, Canterbury branch is my go-to art shop because I always receive specific help in choosing the correct art equipment for me. There is no up-selling just to get a sale. Today I was served by Jack who gave me such a clear explanation about how a 'master study' is a useful teaching strategy. You can't look that up yourself if you don't know the term. Excellent!

package(3 oil stick 1 tube of paint) very late
very poor communication and current status of package
I made the order on the 18th of feb
now on the 26th of feb the order status in the my account section is still "new order" the same status as the day of the order.
I have cancelled the order via a phone call
a great plus customer service answered the phone and promptly started the process... hopefully this coming part of getting the money back is expedited quickly. I was Refund was done in good time

Just to let you know, we've now fixed all of our temporary issues and are now back to our normal despatch rates of within 48 hours. In fact, we're currently shipping same day.

Although there was a slight delay with my order,hence 4 stars not 5 stars,my email was dealt with promptly(same day) and I received my paints the following day.Really happy with the company and I will definitely use them again.

Terrible service
Terrible service, placed an order 9 days ago and still not received, called on day 5 as they advise and was promised it would be delivered next business working day, another 4 days later and still not received. Can now only get to an answer phone and nobody calls back. Website won’t allow me to log back in and no way of tracking. If I ever get a call back I will be requesting a refund and will not use this company again. Shame as I was looking for a new reliable supplier for my business after being let down by another, it’s safe to say I haven’t found one!.

I can assure you w're normally very good at what we do but we've had a bit of a perfect storm recently with sickness and a huge spike in sales. So, unusually, we're some what behind in sending out orders. However, we're now catching up as we've brought in new people temporarily to clear the backlog. Truly incredible customer service
Megan was so helpful and patient with me as I struggled to build an easel I had purchased online. They couldn't have been more attentive and conscientious. Really exceptional customer service - thank you so much! :)

Unreliable long delivery better off…
Unreliable long delivery better off going somewhere else if your reading this dont even bother. Been 4 days and they haven’t even dispatched it. Walk into a art store or go to another actual reliable art supplier online do not recommend to anyone. First time buying from here and never again

We do apologise that this order did not leave us as promptly as we would have liked! It's certainly not our intention to delay orders being dispatched or leave any customers with a negative experience, especially on their first order with ourselves. We do advise at the checkout stage to allow 2-5 working days however, we would always prefer to dispatch orders as promptly as possible.

Super helpful and friendly staff
As a family we’re quite into art and letting our creative sides out. Summer was so helpful in finding out what we each were looking for and matching us up with some great products. She provided some great advice too. Both she and the other staff member on the shop floor were really helpful and friendly. Thank you, Summer!

Summer in the Canterbury shop
Summer, the young lady in the shop was so helpful. I am undertaking some art classes and she was able to guide me to the best products for my course. I am an absolute beginner and found Sumer to be very knowledgeable and approachable.

I ordered a canvas 10 m x 1.2m, and this one is nice I think. I haven't got to paint on it yet, but it stretched nice.It is worth to say some canvas doesn't stretch nice! Ok,there was some factory lines that go away with a bit of water, no problem that.
I tested the strength of the 10oz canvas by trying to rip it both directions at the corner of one end, seems pretty tough. It also isn't coarse, which I like for my work.
The best part of the order is the customer care for me.
The courier took my canvas someplace where it shouldn't have been causing me to get it late, I paid for a quick service.
That was reimbursed with no fuss, and the lady I was dealing with got on to the courier to make sure it was delivered to a secure place not included on the list of places to put it incase of no one home situation.
The item really well wrapped in paper and bubble wrap, plus the canvas came in a plastic layer too. Friendly and professional customer service. Nice to find people who genuinely care.
Really well done.
For me, this gets 5 star across the board for all aspects.

Brilliant service
Fantastic service from this company. I was dealing with a lady called Megan Warren. She went above and beyond in helping me get an item they had out of stock, notifying me of every step of the process via email. Brilliant customer service, and so helpful. I will be using these again in the future that's for sure!
P.s if the boss is reading this, Megan is a absolute credit to your company. She deserves a Christmas bonus!
