Yesterday evening
Yesterday evening, my fiancé and I visited the Peterborough Currys store ready to purchase an American fridge-freezer. We had already done our research and knew exactly which model we wanted.
Upon heading to the appliance floor on the mezzanine, we noticed the only available staff member was assisting another customer. We made our presence known and waited. After roughly 10 minutes of being ignored, I managed to flag down another employee who promised to find someone. Nothing happened.
Another 15 minutes passed. Frustrated, I approached a different staff member and pointed out that we were ready to spend over £1,000, asking quite simply if he wanted to help us or if we should take our business elsewhere. He promised to send a colleague—though he could easily have helped us himself.
When a staff member finally arrived on the floor, he walked straight past us to assist someone who had only just walked in. Having wasted half an hour waiting to give them a four-figure sale, we voiced our frustration and left.
Before even leaving the car park, we ordered the exact same appliance from AO.com with 48-hour delivery. Currys Peterborough, your customer service is appalling. You lost a significant sale today, and we will not be returning.

So difficult to buy white goods in…
Leaving review here as it’s a chat box to communicate - no doubt a robot. Yes there’s a phone number but these days that’s Ai. I’m not interested in robot customer service.
So difficult to buy white goods in Peterborough Currys. Visited in a Saturday and a Friday evening and one member of staff. Getting info on white goods or getting info AND Buying takes ages so you need more that one staff . We waited 30 mins. No sight again of other staff ( maybe in a break I don’t know) but even using the Call for Help button no one came. Lots of staff downstairs. They may not have knowledge of white goods but surely someone could have popped upstairs. Not fault of white hood staff if bosses are making cutbacks. I’m going to look elsewhere

Helpful staff buying an Airfryer
We were able to choose the model of Airfryer at the first Curry’s we visited in Cambridge, but they didn’t have stock but told us where there was stock, in Peterborough. In Peterborough Curry’s the customer Service guy was very helpful, we quickly bought one and he carried it out to the car for us. The only negative was they didn’t have all the accessories for this model, no racks, whereas Cambridge did.
