Top Tech Event Management Platform
The technology keeps moving forward and the product gives you great tools to deliver events and fit your needs. The experience with Cvent has been great, our account manager is great and always listen to our pain points and helps us navigate solutions, alternatives and submit suggestions which many times move forward, The system can get a little complex but they do many certifications and training courses which are great!
Highly recommend Cvent
Cvent is an invaluable tool! I work off templates, which makes my job easy, with a great flow for fast completion of event builds. I can easily update the templates as needed, too. When I need help with something I haven't done before or to troubleshoot an issue, I can count on immediate and accurate assistance anytime I need it from Cvent customer service. They are very helpful and professional!!
Great User Experience
Cvent has always been a great platform to use. We have used it for over 10 years and have had very successful and reliable event experiences. The customer service is fantastic and our attendees interact with the platform very well.
Don't waste your budget on this platform
Cvent has been extremely frustrating to work with. The platform is overly complicated, with too many unnecessary steps for even the simplest tasks. It’s slow, clunky, and often times out, forcing you to redo the same actions multiple times. The integrations are unreliable , data frequently doesn’t sync correctly, leading to discrepancies that require manual fixes. On top of that, the user experience feels outdated and unintuitive, making everyday use a constant struggle. For the price and effort required, the value just isn’t there. Also, can't forget to mention the support and the escalation teams lack the knowledge and expertise.
Reposite is a scam
Reposite is a scam. I signed up as an AV Vendor for 2 locations (DC and Miami) and got 2 leads in 5 months but only 1 prospect replied and event ended up being cancelled. The Reposite sales team and their website will entice with you with thousands of planners. Where are the leads then? We've been very busy with our google ads and social media ad leads but not Reposite. Don't waste your money.

One stop shop for all your event website and mobile app needs in Cvent, I am new to the product still but enjoy using it so far.
Game-Changer!
I've been using Attendee Hub for a while now. The recent enhancements in design and functionality have truly transformed the app. One of the standout features is the customization options. The flexibility the app offers has allowed us to provide a unique experience for participants, each time. The integrated chat has greatly improved attendee engagement throughout our events. I look forward to seeing what innovations they introduce next!
Cvent upsells their functionality
Cvent upsells all of their services and provides no support beyond sending you the invoice. All of the cons we noticed with Cvent includes:
-Everything is manual on your end
-Exhibitor portal is not linked to registration
-The app tends to glitch
-The email templates are not up to industry standards
-Registration will randomly close without warning
-Speakers have complained about the Resource Center
-The registration process is not simple, you have to add a session, configure it with the web designer, have all the settings be right. You will be on the phone with customer support for long hours
-Incredibly expensive. You're better off developing your own registration platform for half the cost
Cvent will make your events smooth and sparkle!
The Cvent experience has been tops for our event attendees. The registration experience has facilitated an increase of registrants and attendees at both our in-person and virtual events.
Would not recommend working with Cvent
First of all, Cvent oversold their experience and expertise at initial meeting. The project manager assigned to our project didn't have any idea on what are requirement or expectations for the specific event. The agreement and work order were very misleading i believe purposely to hide the total cost. The WO contained two Total costs and nowhere explained that the grand total is the sum of two total costs. At any point during many discussions with the Cvent team or in the WO it was explained that the 'subscription' to their software is ongoing and renewed automatically unless you opt out in writing. The scope of work we requested was to host 2 meetings and instead we got charged for services that we didn’t need e.g. ongoing subscription to the software which was not clear unless you read pages of small print of terms and conditions on cvent website. In addition the Cvent software we used had less features than regular Teams or Zoom and the chat function didn’t even work during one of our meetings.
Overall, I found extremely frustrating to work with Cvent. They created more problems than solved.
It was a joke when the seller said…
It was a joke when the seller said during the meeting, "We'll see if we cooperate." It’s our company that wanted to purchase a service, not the seller buying something from us. It smells like a scam.
They don’t provide clear pricing but instead refer to this license costing something and that license costing something else. They add various licenses so that you, as the customer, end up paying a lot. There’s no clear overview of what they’re offering.
AVOID - You'll never speak to the director for the Amazon voucher call.
Approached via LinkedIn DM for a demo call to show events software which is something I really need to implement in my work. I was curious and very interested. The initial call was not very informative - it was like I had to pass their test on whether I was a worthwhile lead. Wanted to know all about me and my company but wouldn't/couldn't share much back. The elusive Amazon voucher for taking the call was promised after I spoke to the director. This was mid-December. The director has since rescheduled the call 5 times. When I've queried why I keep being messed about as I am genuinely interested in learning the product, the director has had 'family emergencies'. Now reading other people's reviews it seems the director is in a constant state of emergency and never makes a cal!! Seems a data sourcing scam of some sort. AVOID
Event organisers are losing bookings…
Event organisers are losing bookings due to something not working in their payment processing. This is not a new issue. It has been happening for several years.
In simple terms users go through the booking process only to get the non-helpful message "Something went wrong". Cvent have attempted to address the issue by putting up a page called "I'm receiving an error message when I try to register for or access an event. How do I fix this?" That page contains about a dozen helpful tips like clearing the cache, going incognito, trying a different browser, different network, different machine, different credit card, refreshing the browser, waiting a few minutes and so on. Lastly checking that the cvent network is shown as working without isses at the moment. Doing all of the above does not work for me. Over and over again over the last two years. With great difficulty I managed to track down some engineers at Cvent who confirmed I was doing everything correctly, and they are unable to determine why they always reject my bookings. My credit card companies confirm that have not received any credit card debit request from CVENT. Bokings and purchases work smoothly with all other online providers.

Cvent is amazing for Event Management and registration. I have used event for the past five years and do not know how I managed without it. It takes away a lot of the manual tasks and is able to hold all my data into one system. I do wish there was a little more custom features as Cvent is very much set up in just one way, but after you figure out those little nitpicky things it’s great.
