I purchased a rather expensive electric cargo bike a year ago, firstly the Chinese manufactured rear wheels spokes are not fit for the weight of the wheel and I’d advise anyone to have them all replaced by a professional.

The customer service offered by Sylwia is very unprofessional and frosty, so don’t expect her to be friendly or helpful.

MOST ALARMINGLY she’s taken payment for a replacement canopy I ordered on the 3rd of February 2021 and has not dispatched it, and is conveniently ignoring any correspondence.

it’s now February 21st, and no sign of my order or a response from the delightful Sylwia.

AT NO POINT WAS THERE ANY NOTICE ON THE MOBILE PHONE WEBSITE THAT STATED THERE WOULD BE NO ATTEMPT AT DELIVERING MY ORDER, otherwise I simply wouldn’t have ordered at all.

AFTER MUCH DURESS, SYLWIA DID SAY SHE WOULD PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT SPOKES ON THE BACK WHEEL, AND THE ONLY REASON WHY I DID NOT SUPPLY HER WITH AN INVOICE WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE MY BIKE MECHANIC DID NOT SEND ONE. As my bike was roadworthy once more, I chose to move on. Had my mechanic sent me the invoice for payment, I would’ve indeed issued it to Sylwia for her to settle.

But for anyone purchasing one of these electric cargo bikes, be aware that the spokes supplied are not strong enough for the weight of the wheel and replacing them all is expensive.

Sylwia is unable to take ANY responsibility for any issues caused by her lack lustre customer service.

My bike actually arrived damaged, and parts were exposed due to poor packaging. Admittedly that’s down to the manufacturer, not Sylwia who’s only a broker and knows nothing about bicycle manufacturing or parts. However, she’s the person I purchased the bike from.

I telephoned her to tell her the bike had arrived damaged and exposed, and rather than her say “oh, I’m sorry about that, let’s see what I can arrange”, I was met with “send me photos as evidenced!”

It turned out my mechanic was able to reshape the damage and build the bike for me without a hitch.
If I was building it myself, I’d have been in trouble because I wouldn’t have known how to reshape the damaged part.

The bike itself is great, once I fixed the spokes, but find an alternative supplier, or buy directly from the manufacturer.

Learn from your mistakes Sylwia, and admit you messed up!

You should email customers and inform them that there are delays that may affect their orders, and offer them a refund. NOT KEEP THEIR MONEY AND EXPECT THEM TO FIND OUT ALMOST A MONTH LATER VIA A VERY VAGUE VOICEMAIL MESSAGE!

Really bad customer service!

Bike is great to look at and ride. However initially offered in a colour to order which then wasn’t available. Wasn’t told this for a week. Shipped from UK to Ireland by post without proper packaging and front light scuffed and damaged on arrival. DHL tracking was uninformative and frustratingly not updated. Great product but service needs a kick in the tail.

Second Popal bike I've bought from Sylwia (Cyclops Bikes) and it's great. The courier 'misplaced' it for a few days but she sorted it out very efficiently and it arrived on time for Christmas:)

Very good and efficient service, excellent basic Dutch bike. Only one relatively small point, when ordered the colour chosen was titanium which was shown as in stock, however was soon after informed that this was not the case, and I had to settle for grey instead this being a Matt silver/ aluminium paint. Though a good and durable finish by the looks of it very satisfied with the bike so far should give good service I think.

Lovely bike and good service. Quick delivery. The bike we ordered was out of stock, would have been a better experience if the website wasupdated faster, but customer service were quick to offer alternative or our money back and delivery of the bike was very quick. Grandaughter loves it. Overall very pleased.

Arrived on time and undamaged.

Bike matches stated spec. Relatively lightweight and sturdy. Design is practical. Straightforward to assembly.

Great bike. No surprise shipping fee at the checkout. Quick service.

The bike is excellent and looks very stable and his quality. The price as well is perfect for British standards and generally I think. Generally it took a bit longer than ten days to be delivered. The main reason for the four stars rating is that it is not 90% assembled and doesn't take 1 hour for assembling. Maybe for someone who has assembled it 100 times might need 1 hour but not for a first time bike builder. For some of the parts 2 persons needed and overall I would say that I spent about 10-15 hours. I had to build the base, the box, disk brakes (do not come mounted) even the cabling, steering, lights, front wheels, reflectors. I would say that 70% of the bike needs building. Moreover I am a DIY and has all the tools which were required but for a big spanner. I would recommend to provide all the tooling which is required in the box like other vendors do so that customers do not need to start spending time shopping spanners.

I love the bike, just what I wanted and have 2 observations that stop me giving five stars:
1. The box in which the bike was delivered had a large hole and I was fearful there would be some internal damage - fortunately this wasn't the case.
2. The instruction manual provided was in Dutch. Translating it using Google Translate wasn't hard but why not provide an English version - even an English version on the Popal website would be acceptable.

Frictionless transaction. The Trasporterfiet I got is a sturdy, plush truck on two wheels. It’s very well made and It already proved to be more then capable of carrying heavy shopping bags without any issues. Thanks Cyclopbikes - you saved me from being a MAMIL:)

The customer service was beyond excellent. I'm very pleased with my experience.

Customer servuce has been great if a little slow but the bike itself arrived damaged. The instructions are photocopied and we can’t see the pictures and they’re very unclear. There is a nut missing and the basket is damaged. And there were issues with delivery as well.

The bike really pretty but you don’t realise how big it is I am 5.7 and my toes don’t even touch the floor even on tip toes. But lovely bike known the less. One gripe the mud guard was bend and the paint chipped and peeling

Cyclop Bikes had exactly the bike I was looking for. Ordering was straightforward and hassle free. Delivery from Netherlands to UK was within five working days with tracking provided.

I would definitely buy from them again, and would recommend them.

Fantastic company who appear to genuinely care about their customers. Customer service is excellent, communication is very quick and the products are lovely. Will definitely use them again.

I bought two Dutch style bikes for my kids, and the messaging regarding questions re sizing was very responsive and helpful. The courier delivery had some issues but I contacted Cyclops bikes and they sorted it all directly with the courier company for me, saving me the hassle of dealing with it all. And finally, the bikes!! They are beautiful, well made bikes that my kids love to cycle. They use them to get to and from all their after school activities and my 7 year old especially has grown in confidence riding it in a short period of time. Highly recommend both products and service.
