A great service.

Friendly and said Hi, but didn't follow us around as soon as we walked through the door

I went to Salisbury earlier this week. I was welcomed by a young lady Charlotte, very friendly. I agreed to meet her again today for my purchase. I walked out happy.

Reference to my partners previous review which we are unable to respond to. On Saturday 11th April after putting in a formal complaint concerning our delivery date, being the 23rd April. I received a phone call to follow up my complaint from the Salisbury DFS manager on Saturday 11th April. He explained to me in order to look for another delivery date he would have to cancel the 23rd delivery date. I said that I did not want this to happen as we have been waiting so long already due to the miss understanding of my post code and I explained to him this was not my fault, as we had clearly informed DFS of our post code so we agreed that I would keep the delivery date as the 23.04.2026, and this would not be changed. The manager said as a gesture of good will he would send two luxury hampers out to us. The hampers arrived at our address, on the 14.04.2026. So clearly no issues with our address now?. Moving on, after the good will gesture I today receive a text that our delivery date will now be the 28.04.2026. After I stated that it should be left at the 23.04.2026, as agreed. I have a witness to this conversation, as my phone was on loud speaker at the time. I actually cannot believe that this has happened. We have been messed around far too much, and this is totally unacceptable. I want my sofa delivered on the 23.04.2026 as agreed. Nothing else is acceptable, due to the absolute chaos this has caused with somebody having to take time off of work to wait in for the sofa to be delivered. We have arranged for time off on the 23.04.2026 for the delivery, so I would expect my sofa to be delivered on the 23.04.2026. I expect someone other than call centre, which have been very unhelpful to contact me letting me know that my sofa will be with me on the 23.04.2026. As arranged and agreed on the 11.04.2026 with the Salisbury DFS manager.

Shocking experience buying our very first sofa.
The lad who took our order originally entered out postcode incorrectly which me and my partner didn’t realise until the day before our sofa was due to be delivered which resulted our sofa not being able to be delivered.
We then called up changed all the address got sent a hamper by DFS as an apology and assured it would be with us ASAP (23rd April)
We have now just received another text saying it’s now going to be with us on the 28th April due to the fact the address has only just been updated which we were told was done about 2 weeks ago.
Absolute joke. Also customer service is absolutely shocking as none of them have any clue what’s going on and are completely unhelpful.
Not that they care but I will never buy anything from DfS again.
We have just purchased our first home and buying that property was an easier and less stressful experience than buying a sofa from DFS. Now that’s saying something.

In response to the reply from DFS the issue has not been resolved at all I don’t understand what you’re talking about there. And yes we were given a hamper as way of apologising for the delay no problem there. The problem is you did that and then delayed our sofa Yet again!!!!!

Ben the sales the assistant was very polite and helpful. The sofa's on display were pleasantly arranged for easy viewing.

We were greeted when arrived then left to look around by ourselves which we preferred. Not given any pressure or staff watching over us. Felt relaxed and at ease to view at our leisure. When selecting our sofas, the gentleman who assisted us was polite and very helpful. Gave us all the relevant information. Did not pressure us at all. We had a friendly chat with some humour thrown in.

The staff was very friendly and made my purchase smooth and easy. Will definitely come back if we should need anything else.

I recently visited the DFS showroom in Salisbury and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough, specifically thanks to Ben.

From the moment I walked in, Ben struck the perfect balance between being helpful and giving me space to explore. I never felt pressured or "sold to," which is a rare find in furniture shopping. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the different ranges, helping me understand the pros and cons of various fabrics and configurations to ensure I found the perfect fit for my living room.
