Against my better judgement, I purchased a Citizen Eco-Drive watch from a small jewellery chain, instead of direct from Citizen. I am a big fan of their watches. But instead of buying the watch direct, in a moment of mental abstraction I chose Dipples!? They sound like something from an Ealing comedy, however, dealing with them has been no joke! After placing my order on Sunday, which admittedly was a good deal, something inside me wondered if the watch was ex-display. It wasn't marked as such, but I wanted to check. I emailed them and expected a reply on the Monday. However, no reply was forthcoming, so I rang them. A pleasant lady replied and did admit the watch was ex-display, but it would be in perfect condition. I now have the watch, which arrived a day later than I expected, and I am very concerned by its condition. The leather strap, which is too short and only just fits on my wrist, shows clear use as well as probably being a replacement as it is shorter than the strap on my other Eco Drive watch. The leather on this strap is creased and grubby on the inside. Worst of all the watch back is quite scratched. I am now thinking the watch might be a return. I have checked the functions and I am monitoring its time-keeping to see if there are any anomalies. As a precaution I registered it on Citizen’s website. Worryingly the serial number was not recognised!?. I don't even think it was sent in the correct box (Eco Drives come in a round box within a square outer). I should have paid full price for the watch directly off Citizen, as I had originally intended - I will not make the same mistake again! - NEVER BUY REDUCED PRICED WATCHES OFF SELLERS THAT YOU HAVE NOT USED BEFORE! I feel conned and I am now considering what to do.

Bought a Garmin watch for a great price and delivered quickly with good communication.

I had two rings enlarged. It was not made clear when I handed over my white gold ring engagement ring they would put a finish on making it look silver. I requested this to be removed. Standard procedure they said, still needs to be explained so you can decide if you want it. This was done but I was without my ring for over 4 weeks. The service is so slow. Everything is in slow motion in the shop, if you are going in your lunch break forget it. I Went to make card payment, I get it your card machine was playing up, but this was not made clear for 15 mins. The young lady who served me was obviously not experienced she had to check everything with manager. I did have to explain I was on a lunch break twice. I would very much doubt I would use there services again. The manager did not come out, major issue if your card machine not working. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Happy with your silversmith work.

The help I received from Sayuri in looking at different ring options was invaluable as I was able to get the type of ring I was looking for.

Also the recommendation on an insurance provider was incredibly helpful which gave me peace of mind to have the cover needed for the ring too.

Joanna made the my visit to you a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Professional and courteous, nothing was too much trouble, she showed me a range of products, before I chose a lovely Georg Jensen bangle, which was then beautifully gift wrapped. All in all a great experience..

Always receive a warm professional service. Care is taken to explain process and cost and communication is good whilst waiting for repairs. Have bought many items over the years and prefer to support local, family run businesses who differentiate from the more cold, corporate offering elsewhere.

We visited Dipples today while searching for wedding bands for our upcoming wedding, and had such a lovely experience. John Pearce was an absolute pleasure to deal with – friendly, informative, and clearly very passionate about what he does. His knowledge really stood out and made the whole process feel easy and enjoyable.

We’ve now purchased our rings and are so excited to pick them up soon. Thank you for such a special experience!

Lovely independent jewellers. Lynn was really patient and informative. Gave us plenty of time and advice, not pushy at all, helping us to come to the right decision.

I originally contacted Dibbles jewellers using the online chat service. Chris got back to me by email very promptly and answering all of my questions & Ebony confirmed delivery by email the following morning.

I placed an online order that evening and both emailed and rang the Norwich shop the following morning to ensure the delivery process that I needed.

The item was sent by special delivery as a high value item and was extremely well packaged just as I had hoped for; accompanied by all the original packaging and receipts.

i would have no hesitation in recommending and using Dibbles jewellers again. The entire process from start to finish was exemplary and I am in love with my new FOPE gold necklace. Thank you so much guys. I will be back!

I went in to ask about a repair on a necklace. Granted it wasn't an expensive necklace, but it had a sentimental value. The lady went out the back to ask someone and returned saying the necklace could not be repaired as it is too fine. No smiles or anything - felt like I was being looked down on. I asked if she was saying they could not do it, or it could not be done. And she just flatly said, it could not be done. Luckily I didn't believe her so I went somewhere else and got it repaired. I have purchased from Dipples before and have had things bought for me from there. I won't be going back. I was in Beaverbrooks over Christmas buying an expensive watch and the snacks, beer, cakes Prosecco were flowing while we were treated like royalty. I will be getting my pieces from that type of place in the future!

Visited Dipples as my mum had lost her engagement ring. She had the ring for over 60 years! The assistant was extremely helpful and patient bringing out a choice of rings for her to try on. Mum purchased a lovely diamond ring that matched beautifully with her existing wedding ring.

Some good old fashioned customer care from Dipples today. Thank you to John Pearce, who resized my wife’s watch whilst I waited, and gave some very good free advice too!

Staff are very attentive and go out of there way to help you find the perfect piece for you.

We always feel welcome and John is always great to deal with. Professional and friendly.

I was invited to the VIP event recently. Lynn Smith arranged our timings for arrival.

We were well looked after during the evening. My wife found something that she very much liked and Lynn helped her in supporting her decision in terms of style and how the jewellery could be worn (more than one option).

When it came to the purchase, Lynn managed all of the documentation (a little different given the VIP event), and identified the best presentation box for the purchase. Nothing was too much trouble.

The personal touch from the premier independent Jeweller in Norwich (in my opinion); why go anywhere else.
