⚠️ WARNING — Be Careful When Claiming Through DAMS!
I had an accident claim in mid-2024 and provided clear video footage as proof. The other party even accepted responsibility. However, DAMS and their associated solicitor company, Bond Turner, made the whole process extremely stressful.
They kept asking for all my financial details, even after I’d already provided everything. Over a year later, they asked again for the same information and suddenly told me I might have to appear in court — despite the video evidence proving my case.
Now they’re trying to charge me for “hire costs” and saying if I wasn’t eligible for a courtesy bike, then you need to pay cost. It feels like they claimed HUGE amount from the third party, and are now trying to recover it from me instead. When they failed to get huge amount form third party, they started to get amount from their own clients.
Overall, it’s been a very stressful and disappointing experience with DAMS. It seems their focus is more on profit than on helping their own customers.
Be warned before you go through DAMS!!!

First i heard here about horrendous price for hire car ,,hidden'' Cmon guys you sign the hire contract and you had price right in front of you. AMC its a business and their goal its to make money otherwise will probably disappear . I use them for a non fault accident and yes they hire me a car for almost 700 day.....and what?? I manage to buy my own and i returned the hired in 10 days car but this don't mean in any way a bad practice or i was misled. About about Turner yes i call them and i had to pay a visit to speak them but at the end of the day was nothing to discuss about at this stage so its no point to call them 3 times per week. So far DAMS actually provide me a professional advice about everything and bottom line im not the one who pay for hire car.
DO NOT be talked into using accident management company, all I have been asked to give regarding the van hire is lots of personal details and financial information, i feel very uncomfortable even tho its been confimred i was not at fault. Please make sure you read the first letter from DAMS stating this!!
If I had known this was going to be part of it from the first initial call from Dams i wouldnt of used them.
Please please just make sure this is the right option at the time rather than using your own insurance company.

They gave me a hire vehicle and said you will have this until the claim is finished and when you get paid out. However, my claim is still going on and they threatened me saying if i don't give the car back they will report it stolen and will uninsure the car. Currently have no vehicle and going through a lot. Better off going directly through insurance.

I filled up all forms they asked me to fill out.
Was told my damaged car was going to be towed to a garage.
After waiting for 6 hours and not receiving any call backs i called them and they told me they couldn't do it anymore

Had a great experience with direct accident. I had a non fault accident and went to see Eworks who came highly recommend whilst I was there I got to meet Kate the account manager who provided an exceptional service and explanation as to how my claim would be dealt with and really wanted to make sure i was looked after.

I was involved in a car accident in October 2022 which was not my fault and full liability was instantly accepted by the other driver. My car was extensively damaged and no longer fit to drive. My local car body repair shop recommended that I use the services of an accident management company - DAMS (Direct Accident Management Ltd). It would eliminate the stress of dealing with the aftermath of an accident that wasn’t my fault and in addition to repairs to my vehicle and providing a temporary replacement, DAMS would make my post-accident experience stress free and comfortable.
Well to a certain extent that was initially all true, I was instantly supplied with a hire car and in time my vehicle was fully repaired. Then came the stress! DAMS use a firm of solicitors, Bond Turner, to take up the legal end of things, trying to claim back the various costs from the other drivers insurance company. By far the largest cost being the outrageous daily cost of the hire car they supplied me with, this runs into thousands of pounds and in my case bears no relationship to the literally hundreds of pounds for the accident damage costs.
In order for Bond Turner to take the case forward they required a huge amount of information from me. One of the main areas of information required was my complete financial background for the past 2 years, bank statements, credit card statements, direct debits, the whole lot! I had nothing to hide but I found this is a very stressful, personally invasive and uncomfortable experience. When I say everything I mean everything, for example, “what was the £5 that went out of your bank account on the 5 November 2022 for?”. To make matters even worst towards the end of the process they started requesting detailed information about my wife’s financial background!
The case is constantly referred to as ‘your’ case, but the reality is, it is not ‘your’ case, it is DAMS trying to claim back the horrendous costs, in my case £30,000, for the hire car they supplied me with. The case was finally settled in DAMS favour before going to court, 20 months after the accident happened. If the case had gone to court I would have had to personally appear in court.
Remember, the accident was not my fault, I had to spend many, many hours supplying information, which I personally found very stressful, invasive and uncomfortable so that DAMS could claim these costs back. Not for one minute am I saying the initial part of the process was not quick and efficient, it was, but BEWARE if you go down the route of using an accident management company there is an awful lot more to it than you might initially think. All I was originally told by DAMS at the start of the process was, “as long as you cooperate with Bond Turner everything will be stress free”. I for one don’t think the trade off was anywhere near worth it and would never use an accident management company again.

Extremely disappointed and appalled, I was referred to these jokers by the accident management company dealing with my claim. They kept me on the phone for at least 30 minutes taking all my sensitive details and making me repeat a lot of information already shared with the accident management company, only for them to refuse the car hire after initially promising that it will be dealt with promptly so long as I provide all the docs.
The docs were shared to them via WhatsApp and not only did they not resolve the issue promptly as promised, they failed to even keep me updated and followed with a message the following morning to say they won’t be dealing with the car hire due to a conflict interest without even a single
apology.
Your pathetic excuse of there being a conflict of interest should have been established straight away and not at the expense of me wasting a day waiting on you morons- shambolic!

Debbie is a really helpful member of staff. She is always on hand to deal with any claims sent in to the company. The company Direct Accident Management work swiftly to deal with any claims and work swiftly to settle the claims with as little hassle as possible. They make the procedure stress free for the claimant.

Had experience with own insurance and dams dealing with it for me dams had courtesy car to me fast when I had like 4 day wait from my own insurance dams was like for like vehicle if not better my own tryed giving me small car when I had 7 seater absolutely no use
payment with dams went very quickly
My own seemed to take forever
My overall experience I would choose dams to deal with non fault claim the whole claim from start to finish can take long but me being inconvenience not at all thank you would highly recommend

I wish I could score a minus number - as that’s what this company deserve .
I own a car body shop and the rep approached my garage claiming to pay higher rates than the insurance companies.
I passed them 3 claims and all 3 were loyal customers to me! I have now lost these customers due to the incompetency of DAMS and the lies they tell to myself and my clients. Companies like this are the reason innocent peoples insurance policies rocket - they are nothing but thief’s !! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The customer service is very poor and hang up when they feel like it.
The guy that dropped off the car was getting in our business. Telling my wife it's illegal for me to hold her driving licence, very unprofessional

Wouldn't even give one star thier solicitors bond turner are the worst solicitors i have ever came across was involved in series car crash i got a downgrade vehicle and it was not like for like this company has messed my claim up and i recieved no compensation for my injuries as dams charged over £800 a day for a vehicle the was a downgrade to mine. I did not like the vehicle at all and asked for a Mercedes c or e class and a big company like dams did not have it and was told i will get a call when it did but i never did, now i know why as they couldn't charge 800 a day on thouse vehicle. This company does not care about there clients all they care about is making as much money from your claim and if they can't they will take your personal injury just like they did with me.
There solicitors are the worst you have to ring them at least 3x a week just to speak to someone, each time they will tell you someone will call you back but never do.
They cause you nothing but alarm and distress all through the process and whoever is thinking of using them stay well clear as they don't care about you just care about as much money they can make from your claim and leave you in depression STAY WELL CLEAR ITS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!!
