My partner and I were thrilled with our Salt Mines tour. Everything was great was start to finish and the tour itself was one of the highlights of our trip. Obviously, with trips of this nature where you are relying on other parties in your group you do have to be patient if any of them are arriving late on your way there and back on the coach but other than that everything was great!

Very bad service, I booked a ticket from headto and they are their partner in Krakow, to the mine salt and the guy didn't show up until past 25 min. I called for a refund since I had other activities and the guy I called was useless and rude. I'm currently waiting for a refund. the guy from the"tour agency" tried to turn the things back at me in a very poorly spoken English and just wasn't even trying to be helpful or polite.

We took the guided tour of the salt mines. We were picked up from a point in krakow by Michael, he was an amazing guide on the way to the mines, gave us lots of helpful and interesting information. Really took his time with us. The actual tour was with one of the mines official guides Patricia who was also amazing the tour was so fascinating, loved it. On the return journey back Michael drove the group around by some other interesting points in Krakow and then dropped us off in very convenient locations.

I booked tickets to Salt mine via headout.com that eventually ended up on discovercracow.com
I made a mistake during reservation and claimed that on a phone discovercracow.com
They advised to contact headout.com where I purchased tickets. But their chatbot on cancellation request refers to discovercracoe as follows:

"I understand that you want to cancel your reservation but unfortunately our local partner for this experience does not entertain any cancellation requests. I am really sorry for not being able to help you as you would have liked."

So I apply once again: I want to cancel my tickets for my tomorrows visit and get refunded as I already visited Salt mine today and I would never have a single chance to make it tomorrow as it is me regular working day.

PLEASE get it solved before it's too late

Updated: 03.07.22: P.S - as you can see by the reply… excuses, excuses, excuses… as originally posted - you’ve been warned… definitely avoid if you want to ensure you get what you paid for.. £140!? Stinks to me…

Avoid this company like the plague - they are nothing more than a scam company! We booked to do a private trip to Auschwitz, paying a lot more so that we did not join a huge coach trip excursion and to have the flexibility to choose a pickup time that suited us (12pm collection).
Less than 24 hours before the booked trip, we were contacted by the company, informing us that due to a lack of Tour Guides they would be changing our pickup time to much earlier in the day (note - we paid a lot more to have the convenience of our choice of pickup - this was due to my partner’s birthday being the day before so we specifically wanted an afternoon trip). When this was explained to the company - who choose to contact you by text rather than call… - they abruptly referred us to their Terms and Conditions, stating that they can change the times without mutual agreement. We requested a refund, only to be told they would not refund us the £140+ we paid and referred us back to their T’s & C’s. When we said we would speak to our bank about how this company operates, they replied by text, confirming that we’d “agreed to their revised pickup time” and that they’d see us in the morning…
Avoid, avoid, AVOID!! Book all of your excursions/ travel needs with a reputable company such as Krakowdirect.com rather than these con artists! We’ll be claiming our money back through our bank but want to pre-warn you so you don’t have the hassle - this company is a disgrace to the tourism industry - particularly when you put your trust into travel companies when visiting an unknown/ unfamiliar country (this was our first trip to Poland/ Krakow).

We would NEVER touch this company with a barge pole, given the knowledge we now have of them - don’t fall for their glamorous/ appealing website - steer well clear.

I hope this helps you/ your plans as ours were ruined as we could not afford to book another trip to Auschwitz as a result of their actions.

Pick up from designated area was delayed by 30 mins. Poorly organised at pick up, far too many people to staff, which meant things took even longer. Due to this we arrived late to Auschwitz. On arrival we were all just left for ages not knowing or being told what was going on. About 30 mins later, they handed out tickets individually, which again, due to there being so many people, took at least 30 more minutes. Our allotted time was 12:20. It was by now 13:10. They then said they are running behind so we have 30 min break! Finally got into the tour which supposed to be 2 hours around 2pm. It was rushed and we were finished by just after 3pm. The guide was good, but the tour was obviously cut short. The 2nd part we ended up doing in the dark and again was rushed as they were closing by now. We got back quite late. It was badly organised from start to finish. Also the driver was on his phone constantly whilst driving looking at Instagram etc it picking his nose!! My recommendation would be to pay a little more and get a decent trip.

The visit of the Salt Mine in Wielickza was cancelled the day before at 9 pm !!
I send a mail to Discover Cracow and they didn't make any response. I only received the information by "Get your guide", the website used for booking the activity.
They tell me that they're going to send me back my money, I hope so. But this is not the purpose here ! I have not make the visit I wanted ...

The tour to the salt mine itself was amazing and everything we wanted. The guide was interesting and the mine beautiful! However after we ended the tour, we were told, we would be picked up by the bus in a few minutes. We waited, and after 20 minutes we contacted the customer service. They informed us that the driver was on his way, so it wouldn’t be long. We waited another 30 minutes. No bus yet. We tried calling them again, this time they didn’t pick up. We all just stood there in the parking lot, and waited and waited. Finally, more than an hour after we were left in the parking lot, we were picked up. When we asked the driver, why he was so late, he just shrugged and said “then you had an hour of freetime!” They could have just told us he was late, then we would have ordered a soda and waited in the cafe, sitting comfortably in the shade, instead of standing between the parked cars, expecting the bus to arrive any minute.

Nous avons réservé 2 entrées pour le musée de l'usine Schindler et nous n'avons jamais reçu le mail de confirmation car il y avait un problème sur leur site. Impossible de joindre le service client et pas de réponse aux mails. Le paiement a été débité. Nous avons dû racheter 2 places.
Je suis très mécontente

Une visite très intéressante, la beauté de cette église et sa conservation son grande. Elle est riche. L’audio guide est très très bien fait et riche en explication. Cela permet aussi d’apprendre un peu plus sur l’histoire de la Pologne et de Cracovie et visiter le clocher est top

After booking a Salt Mine tour well in advance of our visit to Krakow We were both looking forward to it.
Discover Cracow stressed that we should contact them 24 hours before our trip to confirm we were going.
I tried but their numbers were unavailable. The receptionist at Plaza Boutique Hotel was most helpful and finally produced an email from Discover Cracow with a 2pm pick up time. The pick up point was in a most obscure place, but we trudged out in the pouring rain until we got to the area.
Whilst trying to dry out in a cafe I emsiled their contact number, but, unsurprisingly they didn’t reply.
We got to the pick up point and waited...another company picked up passengers.
Waited until 2.30pm soaked to the skin. I was so disappointed I called our travel agent. They told him they couldn’t get a group together!
They have promised a full refund but I am not holding my breath. This is the first time in many years of holidays that we have dealt with such a couldn’t care less company.
Avoid Discover Cracow like the plague. Surely they should not be allowed to use the city’s name like that?

My experience with DiscoverCracow was excellent. Quick and easy to book online. Convenient to find the meeting point (just 1 min from Kraków Main Railway Station). Bus ride was comfortable and guide was excellent. Great trip and highly recommended!

Nieźle działa chociaż można by to nieco jeszcze ulepszyć, ale na pewno okazało się pomocne.

Brilliant. A1 all must go.. we really enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back .

Timo. No reservéis con ellos ningún billete de bus por dos motivos:

-Sin avisar claramente en la página web (tras reclamar, me indicaron que debería haber mirado el enlace a los términos y condiciones que nadie lee normalmente), compras un billete que sí o sí hay que imprimir. Si no, el conductor del bus no te deja entrar; eso es lo que nos pasó mi pareja y a mí hoy mismo y el conductor nos echó atrás de muy malos modos. En pleno siglo XXI, no les vale el ticket digital.

-Eso sí, de la necesidad de imprimir el ticket de Auschwitz, te informan (en las estaciones de bus no hay lugares para imprimir) en letra mayúscula cuando has hecho la operación de compra y ya no hay solución.

-Por último, el precio no es el mismo que el de la estación de bus al ir la conversión en euros.

Por todo eso, os sugiero ir directamente a la estación y comprar los billetes allí. Muy mala experiencia con Discover Cracow, que no pienso repetir ni aconsejar. Además, el servicio de atención al cliente fue ineficiente y no nos dio ninguna solución ni contraprestación.

I highly recommend not to take bus tickets with them because you are forced to print them. If not, the bus driver will make you do it immediately not being able to get on the bus. They only say this condition of printing in the terms below, not very clearly, not honestly.

Prive is also higher than normal ticket in the bus services.

That is why you should avoid buying with them. Customers service was terrible and they didnt try to give a solution to as, so we paid the tickets twice.

It was okay, bus was on time and left on time. Tour guide at Auswitchz was very good although was a little rushed. However, the company said they would pick us up from a centrally located hotel but that did not include ours even though it was in the centre of town. This is false advertisement. There is room for improvement as staff at the discover Cracow at the square were also a bit unfriendly,

Food tour was great, worth the price as you learn so much more. Our guide, Paulina (sp?) was awesome! Very knowledgeable and super friendly, and even sorted vegetarian options for me which was great!

Overall, the tour experience to Auschwitz - Birkenau was truly unforgettable, as a sombre reminder of the atrocities of WWII. However, I must knock off a few stars for the Discover Cracow portion of the day. I was met on time at the collection point by the driver and was happy to see that as the last one to board, I got to sit in the front seat. However, our young driver was texting for a good portion of the trip. I told him quietly that I'd feel more comfortable if he didn't do that (btw, I'm a police officer), and he obliged me for about 1/2 hour then started again. His explanation was that he had to communicate via WhatsApp with the home base. I told him he didn't need to do that while driving and being responsible for 7 passengers. That message was lost on him. Also, I believe we were promised an historical video about Auschwitz en route. That didn't happen. Upon arrival at Auschwitz, we had to wait an hour and a bit for our tour to begin. OK, I can't really blame Discover Cracow for that. The place was packed with tourists on that fine Fall day. Sadly, however, when finally being introduced to our tour guide, I was a bit disappointed. She was maybe 21 years old. I know you have start at some age, but this girl probably hasn't had a bad date yet, and didn't have the maturity to give us a heartfelt tour of the grounds with such bleak history. Besides that, she was wearing dark purple sparking nail polish and a backpack that said, "Let's party" on it. Please! Not appropriate for this setting! Her narration was soulless and monotonous. Such a let down. However, the day was memorable and I recommend you see these sites. I imagine the same tour on another day with different Discover Cracow staff could have been super.

La guía que me tocó para visitar las cuevas de sal (Ania) fue increíble, divertidísima, super simpática y hablaba un español perfecto, además hizo todo lo posible por cuidar nuestro grupo y nos metió antes el ascensor de salida de la excursión para evitar la cola jajaja
Eso sí los tiempos para entrar en las minas llegamos a las 15:15 y hasta las 16:30 me parecieron excesivos ya que allí no hay nada que hacer sólo están las tiendas de souvenirs que con 20 minutos que den da de sobra. También acaba la excursión tuvimos que esperar media hora al minibús para que nos llevará a nuestros hoteles en Cracovia, resumen muchos tiempos muertos que. En unas vacaciones no se pueden permitir.
