Went for coffee this morning after Church,as we usually do,long queue for coffee while second coffee counter was unmanned,decided we would go for lunch instead oops wrong move nice young lady took us to a table then told us there was a 45 minute wait for food.Very sorry Dalkeith your service is going sadly down hill,even the free coffee might not tempt us back.

Lovely coffee and cake at the cafe, only downside was that the tables are not cleaned regularly and had lots of empty cups and plates left on them. Staff are friendly.

We spent half an hour in the soft play area with our granddaughter before having lunch with friends in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent.

I visited with a friend for lunch and shopping. The cafe was not as busy as I had previously seen. We were warned that our food order “may take up to half an hour to be served.” We were shown to a table and left for over half an hour. We both attempted to catch a server’s attention and eventually my friend approached a server. We were told the soup was now sold out so we ordered a sandwich which came within the half hour promised. The drinks order had to be chased up by ourselves- a pot of tea and bottled water. We are out food a waited again for a server to get our bills
My friend payed by card and discovered after the server went away she had paid someone else’s bill. Two hours for sandwiches and drinks was far too long.

Customer service was rude when we arrived at soft play
The soft play area was absolutely Baltic
Outside temp was -4 inside temp was not much better
All adults are sitting with winter coats on
Radiators were barely warm and giving out no heat whatsoever
Wait for food was too Lonh
Kids were hungry
I appreciate there may be a short staffing issue but the Baltic temp was unacceptable
I won’t be back in a hurry

Fantastic shop, enjoyed my trip and lunch.

Staff are invariably polite, friendly, helpful and well informed.
The store is well laid out and displays are eyecatching with a very good selection of items.
There is a nice atmosphere about the store.

Excellent choice in the garden centre and in the store. Bought planters, plants, decorations and gifts.
Very helpful staff in store and charming assistant at checkout.

We took our grandchildren to the soft play at Dobbies. The last time, we checked and no booking as possible; this time, we were told that we had to book in advance and entry was impossible. We ere not offered the opportunity to come back later. When we pointed out the inconsistency, we were simply told 'you should have checked the website' as if this is something you should do before every visit. We complained - no apology, sympathy or empathy simply mindless repetition of 'it's on the website'. Two unhappy three-year olds. We won't be back.

Good variety of products, but the scones in the restaurant are not as good before covid

Got what I wanted, staff are superb very helpful and chearfull and prices are reasonable

Easy to meet up with family and enjoy coffee and a browse. Car park access quite good too. Variety of shops good if you like that kind of shopping

Fresh food and great service in the restaurant. Pleasant staff in the shop and good prices. Always a joy to walk around and see the Christmas decorations.

A member of staff was extremely helpful,I really appreciated that. He took a lot of time to assist me to purchase 4 plants for outdoor planters that had minimal maintenance, a true star.
