Terrible
Terrible. We were directed to Dyno Plumbing through British Gas Homecare after water was pouring through kitchen ceiling. They could not locate the leak so we had to employ a specialist firm to find the leak. This involved making holes in the ceiling which Dyno would not cover repair cost of because they did not make them! We then had to pay for the cost of repairing the source of the leak ourselves and foolishly continued to use Dyno. This took 5 visits due to sending staff who couldn’t do the work or not having the materials required. Not one visit took place within an hour of the time stated which was very inconvenient when trying to work from home. By their own staff’s admission they are expensive for what they do so stay well clear of this company.

Hi Andy,
I have now looked into this fully, I can see you have a British Gas policy, you had one of the engineers out to locate a leak.
I apologise that you have had to leave this feedback, I feel if we knew the experience you was having we could have dealt with this at the time.
The engineer couldn't locate the leak, not sure why you had to get a specialist in as the British Gas policy covers for leak detection. The engineer makes a note to say the customer will be keeping an eye on this. it is sometimes the case where a leak isn't visible on our visit so may need some monitoring, you mention its pouring through the ceiling so not sure why the engineer suggested this if there is visible water mark etc. it wouldn't need a leak detection under these conditions.
The next engineer that came out found the leak was from the shower enclosure, leak was coming from the silicone and the bottom row of tiles not being a complete seal, this type of job isn't covered under the British Gas policy so the engineer can only give you advice and a quote because British Gas will not pay or cover this type of work.
If you make hole(s) yourself, this wouldn't be something that British Gas would cover, if the leak was coming from the use of the shower this wouldn't normally need a leak detection.
The job was then passed over to the Domestic side that I cover, the engineer then gives a quote for the work.
We then came out to remove and fit the tiles and silicone, I do understand the engineer didn't complete this to our standard, I remember discussing this at the time with you, I agreed I would get someone else to finish the work, I then got another engineer out that completed the work that I understood you was happy with.
Hope this goes some way in detailing the way the policy works as this can course multilabel visits when something isn't covered under the policy. I do understand the workmanship of the engineer that first removed and fitted the tiles and silicone wasn't to our standards, I would like to think that we both agreed this wasn't acceptable and was happy to get this rectified straight away.
I apologise for the experience you have had, I will pass your experience over to the manager that looks after the British Gas side so he can address this internally.
With regard to the Domestic side, I look after this side. even though we spoke about the first engineers work and quickly got this resolved I will take this up internally so thanks you for bringing this to our attention.

Job done on our downstairs toilet cistern…
We needed our downstairs toilet cistern siphon tube etc to be replaced last week and Eric the Dyno plumber finished the work today, making a good clean job of it.

Brilliant response
Brilliant response, initial visit fixed a leaking loo cistern, however the plumber (Chris) discovered a fine crack at the back of the cistern. Isolated it, I bought a complete new loo from Wickes £47.....called Dyno back for an install... here this morning at 9am. An hour later, all done. Thanks Josh.

Great!
Plumber from Dynorod was GREAT, saw the problem immediately, the pipe under the kitchen sink fully cracked, he not only offered to make it right. It offered a replacement tap (on upgrade) as the existing one was clearly knackered. Was super quick and efficient and Covid compliant. Nice friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend and use Dynorod to all.

Josh attended to fit a new shower
Josh attended to fit a new shower, 5 stars very friendly & helpful and went the extra mile to resolve why we were getting reduced pressure in our shower. He found a bend in our main water pipe. Highly recommended

I needed to have a radiator changed…
I needed to have a radiator changed from a single to a double. Having brought the radiator, I thought I would do it myself, fortunately common sense prevailed, and I phoned an expert. The estimator came around and I was given a quote. There was no sucking air across his teeth and shaking his head. He was polite, courteous, and professional.
Having accepted the quote, the engineer arrived two days later. He carried out the work without fuss and did a perfect job having to also do a small alteration to the pipework. He worked quietly and confidently.
I would highly recommend this company. Their prices are fair, and their workmanship is of the highest quality. Thank you.

Darren attended today to sort a long term problem with a bathroom cistern which kept issuing water from the overflow pipe. He arrived on time having contacted me by phone in advance. He carefully identified the causes of the problem, removed and installed new devices, thus alleviating our concerns. He then checked that all was functioning correctly. Excellent!

Excellent Service
I had a leak coming through the ceiling, and after failing to get through to HomeServe (who I have cover with) for over an hour, I rang British Gas for a one-off repair which put me straight through to Dyno-Rod. My call was answered in seconds and within minutes a same day visit was arranged to come and repair it.
The engineer arrived around 3 hours after my call, fixed the problem, was very friendly and gave some good advice and tips. Very happy with the service received and would 100% use them again.
