Sadly purchased a Westfire 37 Compact stove supplied by this company to my local stove supplier. Not a cheap stove at over £3000 to purchase. Also had the old flue system replaced as well.
After 4 visits from my local stove fitter, the stove still fills the room with smoke when I open the door to refuel it.
I've contacted Euro Stove twice about the problem and they just sent me a copy of the re fuelling instructions that came with the stove in the first place!
The fact that they have to issue detailed instructions as to how to refuel the fire in the first place, points to the fact that they are aware of the problem!
After just three months of use I've instructed my stove fitter to remove the stove and take it to the tip, as this is where such a poorly designed stove should spend the rest of its life.
It's being replaced with a far more reliable Parkray!
Sadly it seems that Eurostove maintain in their reply to my review, that is not their fault but the fault of the highly reputable company I used, to buy the stove from, and had them fit it.
The company inform me that they too have contacted Eurostove with the reading taken from the flue and Eurostove have confirmed to them that the readings are well within tolerance.
It's everyone else' fault but the company who manufactured the stove and that's EUROSTOVE themselves!

Nicely made stove, mechanisms all work effectively and are engineered to last. Star lost for the price of the touchup paint which is an absolute rip off.

My silly husband broke the glass on our log burner - its an old model, but brilliant fire so was worried we couldn't replace glass. After searching we phoned Eurostove and they had part in stock. Lovely chap took my payment and promptly sent if out. We received it in 4 days and we live very rural on the West Coast of Scotland. I would highly recommend this company 👌.

When we bought this house, there was an ancient Yeoman stove installed, whilst it worked beautifully, it was visually too small, spares no longer made, very dated, we intended to change. Not that easy finding a 'big', attractive stove, eventually settled on The Mendip Churchill 10. This was Hetas installed to our existing flue, looked good. Ever since, I have been spending HOURS trying to get the thing to run, on first lighting (Kindling over firelighters) the door fogs within minutes, I then have to wait for 'embers', but this never happens, you get a kind of hot hollow, surrounded by blackened wood, the only way to revive is to feed the fire, collapsing the heap, when you do this, smoke pours into the room.......... Once this new wood (Ash/Sycamore 9% moisture) gets going, any attempt to turn down the draught results in a dull orange flame, rapidly running down, back to full draught, crack open door time. Hoping the flue was constricted, ran steel 150mm brush through, no improvement, the stove is running on external air (80mm s/s). The only time we have a clean, controllable fire is if we have a stiff breeze, still days are a nightmare. I e-mailed Mendip fires for advice, no reply. I'm currently considering removing the turbulence plate, to see if that allows the thing to breathe. Manual says 'clean glass door occasionally, with damp paper' - I wish!! EVERY day, I have to clean off dust/tar film using wet paper/ash.
So, lovely looking fire, just fails on it's primary purpose........... The ash pan is very small capacity, being very wide, but only 30mm deep, DAILY emptying, had to make a cover to carry out of the house. Not actually loving this experience. :-(

Very pleased with the stove i puchased, top quality service from start to finish.

Within 3 months of having our Beltane burner installed the paint on the door turned into a blister-like rash. I took it up with our certified installer who supplied it on the first annual service (within the warranty period). They contacted the Eurostove rep who reviewed the photographs I had taken and declared it was due to damp or a chemical cleaner being used on it - how rude!, my lounge damp??!!
Everyone who has seen the blistering is of the same view that its root cause is a manufacturing fault. Looks like no primer or medium has been used. Our installer requested a new door, Eurostove sent them a tin of paint. Further complaints now draw the response that a chemical stripper has been spilt on it.
I will wait to see how good the finish is when I get the door back after repainting. BUT BE IN NO DOUBT, their products are poor quality and their service non-existent. I regret buying from them and hope you do not make the same mistake.

I had believed I was buying a multi-fuel stove from Mendip Stoves, 'a family business with our roots set firmly based in Somerset'. I have not yet used the stove, but have had real difficulties over the warranty offered on the paperwork, which promised 'a two year warranty as standard' and 'The 2 year warranty can be further extended to a total warranty period of 5 years by registering your Mendip Stove within one month of the latter (sic) of the purchase date or installation date'. Registration requires the Hetas certificate no. and the Heats certificate takes maybe 6 weeks to come through, so you are unable to register the stove within the stated period and thus get the extended warranty. I queried this and was told that their warranty period had changed and that I was, informed that 'From the details provided your Solid Fuel stove is covered by a 1-year warranty for the stove body and a -year warranty for the Solid Fuel internals.' I have twice queried what 'a -year warranty for the Solid Fuel internals' means and they have not responded.
I am only hoping the stove is a good one and I do not need to claim under the warranty.
I am deeply disappointed in this deplorable attitude to customers who are spending a considerable amounts of money and expect to be dealing with a small local family company and wind up dealing with a business with such dubious ethics.

My earnest advise is to never purchase a stove manufactured by Eurostove unless you want a useless ornament in your room.

I purchased a Mendip 8 convection stove, manufactured by Eurostove, and had it installed 2.5 years ago by an approved dealer and HETAS approved installer. The installation went well and everything seemed fine at first, but not for long. I have found the stove to be flimsy, prone to damage through normal use, and now in an unsafe condition to use after only 2.5 years of service. I should point out that I have lived with and used wood and coal burning stoves all my life.

During the first winter of use, the door warped, meaning the stove could draw air around the door seal, and the door glass did not fit tightly, meaning the fire was drawing air when shut down and could therefore never be fully shut down. I contacted the installer who looked at the stove and agreed that there was something wrong with the door and that he would ask the Mendip/Eurostove rep to call in. This never happened and the installer seemed to disappear off the face of the earth and would not reply to any of our contacts (it seems they have now ceased trading) so I contacted Eurostove direct. The manufacturer informed me that they very much doubted the door was warped, but if it was it was because we had ‘overfired’ the stove. In short, I had a hot fire in the stove and that was what damaged it, a frankly ridiculous excuse. It is a stove after all and it is reasonable to have a hot fire in it, especially as it is rated at 8kW output! The manufacturer also told me I should be burning one log at a time and waiting until the log had reduced to embers before putting another log on. Quite how the stove is to achieve an 8kw output burning one log at a time is beyond me.

Eventually Eurostove sent us a new door rope seal free of charge, and whilst this helped it did not cure the problem with the warped door and the door glass.

During this winter, the third winter of use, I have found two cracks radiating out from the fire box opening, one of which is spreading around the side of the fire box and beyond the door rope seal. I am concerned that combustion gasses can now escape into the room, and more uncontrolled air can reach the fire. I again contacted Eurostove by email, asking how serious these cracks were. I had to chase them for a reply, and they informed me they were not overly concerned from a safety standpoint, but if the cracks got worse there may be a risk of combustion gasses escaping into the room. Again, they suggested I had ‘overfired’ the stove, still a ridiculous excuse.

I have informed Eurostove that I consider the stove is not fit for purpose, and that it has failed to remain in a serviceable condition for a reasonable length of time. It is perfectly reasonable to purchase a stove and expect it to be capable of containing a hot fire, and to last longer than 2.5 years before experiencing dangerous structural failure. Eurostove have not replied, despite being chased, so I am now left considering legal action.

I recommend you avoid Eurostove products.

I ordered replacement fire bricks for my wood burner from Eurostove last winter. They arrived beautifully packaged and were the perfect fit. However, within a couple of weeks, it was apparent that the rear fire brick had a crack in it. I contacted the company and they advised that it is normal for bricks to be cracked and no action was needed. The crack got bigger.... and bigger.... with the fire brick splitting entirely in two. I sent further photos to the company who reiterated that they offer no warranty and would not replace the brick. The fire brick is now in three pieces and I am waiting to hear how much they will charge me to replace it.
Really poor service given the price of the bricks. I would not expect a warranty but having raised the concern soon after receipt, I would have thought a replacement of this one brick would have been appropriate.

Quite good but spares costs for Stoves are a rip off, particularly paint. Stoves are well made but our double sided Loxton always soots up one door and we have tried every trick you can think of over the last 3 years.
