Didnt carry out the work i asked for
£220 to change engine oil and filter is robbery

I was a little disappointed in my last visit to Evan’s Halshaw Citroen.

Their communication is great and ordinarily I have had no issues.

However, on this visit, my vehicle needed a repair in excess of £3,000 which was worth more than the car.

Whilst I was there I declined to have the work done and asked about getting a new one, but rather than someone approaching me and looking at options there (or even booking me an appointment with sales if they were busy), I was told to chase them myself which I found a little disappointing, especially seeing as I now have a new car from elsewhere, they could have achieved a sale.

Similarly, the £3,300+ repair bill was rather high and I assumed ‘this was the price’, why would I think otherwise if this is what I was quoted? However, around 24 hours later (maybe even less), I received an email unprompted saying they could shave over £600 off the price. I understand this could be due to the use of other parts? Maybe cheaper parts? But why was this not offered to me at the time?

Whilst I still didn’t go ahead with the repair, I might have done if this option was available to start with.

It just seemed a little non-transparent and a bit of an awkward process. I appreciate what has been done for me in the past, but I have lost confidence in Evan’s Halshaw knowing that the price of works can vary so greatly, just by saying ‘no thanks’.

Well the sales rep we saw this morning was great genuinely, can't fault him -Lewis.

However we went to view a car this morning priced at £23980.
Mazda CX-60 LR25 XCD. The doors of the car wouldn't open, the battery was completely flat. We asked how long they had had this vehicle with it being a 25 plate and you can't even open the door due to a totally flat battery. It has been stood for he said around 183 days so that happens. We asked him to check with the manufacturers what impact that would have on the battery long term and arranged to phone back this afternoon for an answer.

Went back online ro get the phone number to call them back and they have put the car up by £630.00 to £24610.00. Rang up spoke to someone different and he said that happens we just check market values.

Really... so a car you have had and been unable to sell for 6 months has suddenly increased in value on the exact day we came to view it and we're interested in buying it.

Not a very good way to treat customers!

Perfect from start to finish

No parking spaces, 1 disabled spot, around 100 plus cars on site, all accessible parking for disabled drop off took up by demonstration cars electric parking charging, complete shambles when I took my motability vehicle for its mot, staff very friendly.

From booking my service to getting it done was was a delightful experience

Was able to accommodate a scheduled Fiat Service .

Quite happy with the service but a complimentary wash and footwell vacuuming was offered and I accepted,however,this was not done.

Great fast service understood my needs and got me back on the road within the stated time period

Not happy at all . Told me they Checked my tyres as I had a problem of them but find out they haven’t checked properly as they would have find a nail in it . The second thing lucky because they didn’t find the nail the pressure of tyre was going down had to take to local garage where they noticed the other three tyres was on 42.5 when they should be max 36 . Three thing still haven’t helped me why my car is only doing 260 miles instead of 330 before the update , to me this is wrong and need sorting out . Four thing rung up on Saturday to tell them all this and was told to ring back Monday and didn’t even take my name when to spoken to salesman.
