Bought a car from Chester Sealand Road 2015
Had it serviced every year since
Last service (2024) it was returned with a faulty Dashcam which I Had to arrange fix of
Also a ridiculous part ex offer offered given full service history
Work also suggested for 10 year anniversary. Wanted a quote It has always been a lottery getting Through to Chester service so sent a polite e-mail up - no response, same as when have sent e-mail up before.
Called 01244 389500 option 3 cut off 4 times
Called 01244 389500 option 1 Matt who said he was new car sales I said I know but service not answering phone or e-mailes and we would be looking to change next year. Suddenly he offered to help and tried putting me through but had given up with EH by then - hopeless service - used to be so good

Awful experience. We bought our car with Evans Halswhaw in January 2023. We decided to leave the UK on August 24. When we wanted to sell our car to an online retailer, we were told that the mileage in previous years did not match, suggesting that it had been manipulated by whoever sold it to us. In that condition, nobody would buy our car.

We got in touch with Evans Halshaw and they made things extremely difficult for us. They did not want to assume any responsibility and told us to contact the DVLA. Only after insisting many times (with only 3 days to leave the country), they accepted to buy our car back We got less money than from the online buyers. We did not receive any compensation nor an explanation or an apology, beyond saying that 'it must have been a typo'.

To add salt to the injury, they took a week to transfer us the money. And when we were out of the UK, we had to write a letter to the DVLA to let them know of the change of ownership, wasting more of our time.

Jamie was brilliant from start to finish! Really friendly, professional and gave great service!

Had my MOT booked in for weeks, which was meant to be this Saturday morning coming, when I booked my appointment ages ago, I asked if they accepted the RAC vouchers to which they replied yes. Had a phone call today from a girl stating they didn’t have a technician to complete the MOT this Saturday and they also don’t accept the RAC vouchers any more so I cancelled this appointment a little disappointed that they have left it such short notice to cancel the appointment. However, when I went back onto the RAC link to find another place to book for this weekend it came up with quotes and Evan’s Halshaw Chester being at the top of the list again, so I ignored that one and went to the next one on the list and booked with someone else, funny thing is, someone from Evan’s halshaw rang me 10mins later and offered me an appointment as they saw I had found them on the RAC link, so I stated on the phone that it’s funny as I’ve literally just had someone ring me from there to cancel my appointment for this weekend and that you don’t take the vouchers anymore…. the girl was very embarrassed on the phone and cut me off the line. Not good customer service at all! At least I’m booked in with someone else now at short notice

I feel that the whole process could have been a lot more streamlined,and would think twice now about buying a car on line as after sales when I live 300 miles away from the selling branch is challenging.

I had a great & friendly service with Phill & Simon.
