Purchased a car today from Evans Halshaw Gateshead and couldn't be happier with the experience.

Sally and Martin were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, professional, and efficient, making everything straightforward and stress-free from start to finish.

Nothing was too much trouble, and they kept us informed every step of the way. Their excellent customer service made the whole experience enjoyable, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

10/10 service great to deal with

Great communication from start to finish, Great friendly staff

I would of given 5 stars but when you are driving home from the showroom and find a couple of faults I wasn't happy.

They where fast at the job in hand and very polite

Came in today to view cars and was greeted by Lauren when helped me look at options and to trade my car in. experience was great would recommend 👌

I totally Concur with Stacie on 02/06/2026 , I’ve got a car on PCP off Vauxhall , it’s almost 1 year old now, twice in the last 11 months I’ve had to call the AA for recovery back to Evans Halshaw .
Last month my fly off wheel on my clutch collapsed, this month it’s the gears , on both occasions I asked if they had any aftercare ie another car , I was told quite bluntly on both occasions that we have 7 cars(So they say ) and they’re all out .

I’ve had to take days off work for the inconvenience of it all , I’m also having to hire a car for my work , all whilst Evans Halshaw in Gateshead couldn’t give a monkeys.
I strongly recommend that anyone who has a disagreement with Evans Halshaw take their complaints to Vauxhall it’s self , they are only open Monday to Friday but definitely the point of contact, Evans Halshaw just sell the product, Vauxhall actually care about their product and complaints . More to follow once I’ve spoken to Vauxhall on Monday .

Vauxhall are always friendly and brilliant, they always make sure that you and your car are looked after and keep you informed.. I have been with them since 2004 and will be staying as they are amazing

Heartless, is all I can say. I purchased a volvo from here on the 24th may. Straight away I started having issues, battery fault popped up on the dash which meant the ignition wouldn't stay on. As well as the check engine light also appearing on the dashboard. There was fluid pouring out the underneath of the car as well as loss of power from the vehicle and a puncture to the front tyre. I contacted the dealership and was met with attitude straight away. They said the car had been checked over before handing the car over to me which obviously it hadn't been. They were completely defensive and argumentative about the issues I had raised. I brought back the car this morning to refuse the car in my 14 day cooling off period and again was met with no remorse and complete attitude. I was crying my eyes out in the dealership to which they showed no emotion or care. This has completely affected my mental health, caused me alot of worry and stress, you purchase a car from a main dealership thinking you won't have any issues and you're able to trust them, however I experienced the complete opposite. After looking online I've noticed other similar reviews about other people having the same issues with cars being faulty and the dealership offering no help. They wouldn't get the point across that I shouldn't be dealing with these issues 8 days after purchasing a car, especially after them saying they apparently checked the car over before handing it over to me.

I also noticed as we pulled up to the dealership this morning, the woman who originally sold me the car, she saw us pull up and she darted out the way and hid from us and was no where to be seen.

Never have I experienced so much stress and hassle buying a car, as well as completely affecting my mental health and having to take time off work now due to this and not having a car to get me to work.

Disgusting behaviour from everyone at this dealership, made to feel like you're in the wrong and that you're making up stories that there is issues with the car.

Appalling.
