Great Service
Very easy to arrange with good comms and a simple, friendly install within a week of enquiry. Not the cheapest but provided what I wanted - decent model of charger with a 10m tethered cable.
Only "downside" was the appointment was for installation from 1pm but they installer turned up at 11am, not a problem for me as I WFH but could be for others.
Not the best experience
I spent a while talking to the sales team before making my decision to purchase. It was between EV Heroes and Octopus for purchase and installation. What swung it for me for EV Heroes was that they told me they do not use 3rd party installers - it's all 'in house' so if a problem occurs, it's an easy fix.
This turned out not to be true.
The sales person also talked me out of the Zappi as 'old technology' and tried to sell me something that wasn't compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go. So, I decided to go with a Hypervolt Home Pro 3 as this was definitely compatible according to the Octopus website.
The install day came. The person that arrived was a 3rd party contractor - when I queried this with him, he said that 'some' of them are employed directly by EV Heroes, but not him. He didn't do the best job - left a mess and damaged the handle of the charger. I had to call EV Heroes to replace it, as well as order a 2nd CT clip as we have solar / battery (which the sales rep knew about) because EV Heroes hadn't ordered one. I also waited over 4 weeks and chased twice to get someone to come and fix the charger handle and fit the CT. The person that arrived agreed that the first engineer hadn't done the job particularly well.
I have also since discovered that the Zappi charger has better integration with the Octopus app than the Hypervolt, so I was disappointed to discover this when my process for charging was something of a faff compared to my neighbour with her Octopus installed Zappi.
They got the job done to a satisfactory level eventually, but it was a slog. I also felt cheated out of a better option (the Zappi) despite being very clear on my requirements when I made my initial enquiries with supposed experts.

Had a fantastic experience with EV Heroes from start to finish. The team was professional, efficient, and made the whole EV charger installation process completely hassle-free.
A special mention goes to Ellis, who carried out the installation. He was polite, punctual, and clearly takes great pride in his work. The quality of the installation was excellent, and he took the time to explain everything clearly before leaving, making sure I was completely comfortable using the charger.
The workmanship was neat and tidy, and the attention to detail was spot on. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend EV Heroes — and especially Ellis — to anyone looking for a reliable and professional EV charger installation.

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. The communication was awful from the start — getting a straight answer out of anyone was like pulling teeth. When I rang the office staff were incredibly rude, constantly talking over me and making me feel like my concerns didn’t matter. To top it all off, they charged absolutely ridiculous amounts for things that were never clearly explained beforehand. Worst of all, I was spoken to in a condescending tone like I was a child. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

From the moment I made my enquiry I received prompt, professional and supportive advice and information. On arranging the installation I had a little time scale on the day they could install and they made that time, Infact the engineer who arrived on the agreed time, was professional and explained everything before leaving once the job was done. Delusional about their customer service and cant accept it when they are wrong
I would avoid this company.
I had an EV charger installed by Octopus, there was an issue with the app showing an incorrect solar reading. Octopus told me to change the "CT clamp" to turn it around, if that didn't work they would send somebody out with an 8 week lead time, or have a local company fix it and they would cover the bill.
I then rang EV heroes. They were brilliant, Suzanne was friendly and helpful. She arranged for somebody to come out in a couple of days.
The engineer came and was brilliant too. He swapped the broken CT clamp as a contingency and said the issue was with the data going to the charger. He said it was a couple of hour job and the office would contact me.
This is where it all went wrong. I started dealing with Maddie who wasn't helpful at all. She was hard to get hold of and didnt return my calls. When I did speak to her she told me that they dont usually do work where other companies have done the install - why on earth did they agree to come out then?! She also told me there was an issue with my solar panels and it would need a solar expert to come out.
She continued to act slowly and I then received an excessive invoice of £460 for the work. This included the cost of 2 CT clamps, the callout fee and £200 for a solar expert to come.
EV heroes then emailed me to say they had reviewed all the correspondence and felt they could no longer do any work for me. They told me as a goodwill gesture they would remove the cost of 1 CT clamp but insisted they had changed 2 to ensure they were the same style to prevent conflicts. The 2 different styles remain in my meter cupboard as plain as day.
I informed them if they were going to tell me they wouldn't complete the job I wouldn't have agreed to instruct them and offered to pay for 1 CT clamp and £50 towards the initial visit.
Maddie then said she would take me to court if I did not pay immediately and would go to Octopus to tell them the invoice was invalid - as if to suggest I was acting fraudulently and trying to get them to pay for work that didn't get done in the end.
I then spoke to a solicitor and they advised me that EV Heroes had breached the contract. The invoice clearly stated the £150 fee was for a callout AND to "ensure CP Working correctly" which it still was not after they changed the CT clamp.
I sent a pre-action letter and Maddie replied in a passive aggressive tone saying my communication style was poor and their customer service is excellent. It was quite surreal, the letter I wrote was professional and based on a template from the solicitor!
Eventually Maddie said she would refund the callout fee, I still agreed to pay the cost of the CT clamp as it is not fair to receive money back for a physical part that they had installed.
My advice therefore is to be very cautious about this callout fee. I assumed it places some expectation on them to complete the job - not to come out and tell me what work needs doing but then refusing to do anything further. They could go around being called out but never actually doing anything and receiving £150. Doesn't make sense does it.
Also consider whether you want to deal with Maddie. She seemed to have a delusional viewpoint that her customer service was excellent but the reality is she would not accept that they got the CT clamp wrong, even with photographic proof. Offering to take it off as "goodwill" is not customer service - it is doing what they should have done at the start and apologised for. It seems she can't accept when she is wrong which is a huge problem if you work in customer service.
Also for her to suggest she would contact Octopus is disgusting. It is a flagrant breach of GDPR and questions my integrity suggesting I would consider acting fraudulently.
Please think long and hard about using EV Heroes. You'll see similar reviews and their passive aggressive replies on here when something goes wrong. The fact they refunded my money speaks volumes too - they can say whatever they like about this but if they believed they were right they would have defended their position at court.
Always willing to answer questions and help with anything
Never had any issues contacting them regarding any questions, the installation was done to a high standard too. Very neat and tidy. Would recommend to family and friends.

Superb service from start to finish. My Hypervolt charger looks awesome and was fitted quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend these guys.
Great Easy Experience
I got a charger through Polestar, who in turn used Qmerit. They put me in touch with EV Heroes and I managed to arrange everything via WhatsApp (very helpful). Kyle turned up today to do the job, we told him where we want it and he did a great job. The whole process including installation was fantastic.

Just had my installation done today, the company was good to deal with from the beginning and answered knowledgeably a lot of questions (thanks Rebecca) with some actual unbiased advice. Kyle was the lad they sent to do the actual installation which was far from the ordinary in terms of routing,and other companies had actually point blank refused to want to do it,because of the extra time and hassle required. He did a neat job and left everything clean and tidy. A credit to himself. He even showed me how to set up and use the app for the charger at the end! I'd have no issues and be comfortable recommending this company for an EV charger. 10/10.
