A Timing Belt renewal on our ancient but treasured Citroen Picasso was executed very promptly and professionally. It was nice to have a quote upfront. The attendants were business-like and cheerful (Basingstoke, Lister road). A good experience. We shall be back.

If the customer wasn't understanding, the communication was somewhat dismissive, annoyed and hot-tempered rather than clarifying.

When I asked if the flat tyre could be repaired, they advised me to wait in the customer waiting area.
Later I found out that the flat tyre was already replaced (they didn't give me a chance to decide), followed by an explanation that it couldn't be repaired.

Specifically Basingstoke branch. I had a tyre blow out due to the horrendous state of the roads in Basingstoke that the council just ignore. The nightmare situation was the fact my wife is a firefighter and had to have the car back up and running to get to Eastleigh for her next shift. The team at Basingstoke jumped through hoops to make a repair in time possible. I was blown away by the great customer service and quality/price of product. I didn't catch the young chaps name but he was great. Highly recommend this particular branch.

After spending hundreds at another garage my car was still making a rattling noise. I was wary of taking it to the garage after my experience with the previous one, but Formula 1 was so helpful. Tony was the man I dealt with, very professional and polite. Sorted my problem within about 10 minutes with no charge! I will definitely be coming back to this garage in future. Highly recommend!

I rang with serious concerns about my car. Craig answered the phone and talked me through things. Gave me a quote there and then. Calmed my nerves and reassured me the car would be fine. He did the work that day and i am safely on the road again. He was amazing. And i am so grateful

Booked in. Sorted puncture. Saved the tyre. Which meant I have technically saved £250.

Put our corsa in for a service and mot, was told will do mot and call you before doing the service. Got a bill of 760 pound, thought a bit much ok said don't bother with the service will get it done later. Thinking mot these days always find something wrong as they do, thought mot about 200 pounds + vat. found out they fitted 3 new brake pads,what kind of person fits 3 pads, you know you always fit a complete set for saftey most important part on a car. and charged 270 pound for pads, I know mark up is always done expect that but over the top or what. I thougt I could trust Forula one not any more will not be going back ever

I will never use anyone else. Tony is always so helpful and if full of knowledge making sure I understand what's being done on my car. My car has just passed it's MOT and once again I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you to you all.

I purchased my son new Tyres for his first car a couple of weeks back and they were put on at F1 Basingstoke. The tyres were fitted fine and all was well. The other day my son contacted me to say one was going down. I said he should blow up the tyre and pop back to F1 to see if they could sort it. He turned up and they refused to look at it sighting they were too busy. So he went to another tyre fitter. They saw that he was a young lad in need of some help so they squeezed him in and 20 min later they reported back that tyre had not been fitted correctly as there was some minor alloy corrosion to the seal which they had quickly removed, refitted the tyre and checked for leaks total cost £25. He then returned to F1 to confront them about it only to be told that "Its not our job to remove corrosion" and also that "You should have told us you wanted it doing" and refused to refund the £25. I phoned the main office to make a complaint but they said that I had to complete a form online which I have now done. So if its not part of there work to take 2 seconds to remove any corrosion from the seal then who's is it? How would my son have known there was any corrosion in the seal and if asked whether they wanted a tyre fitting correctly or incorrectly and sane person would ask for properly would you not agree? There was no professionalism, it is clear the single job of a tyre fitting company is not being done properly, people lives are being put at risk due to incompetence and the manager in Basingstoke does not care. My son has had hours wasted, could have potentially damaged his tyre, or been involved in an accident and I have been financially put out by £25. I suppose the point here is that there are plenty of other place to choose around town so I would urge anyone else to avoid this one.
UPDATE. They accepted no responsibility and said the corrosion must have happened after fitment. No reimbursement offered. My advise remains, please just use somewhere else for your safety.

Great service, reliable guys, know what they're doing

I had MOT and a full service and given good advice about what i needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had an interim car service plus antifreeze change. Top notch work. Also had new wiper fixed after they phoned and informed me it needed replacing. Great prices. Got discount as booked via website. Customer service 5 star. Feel totally safe and not ripped off. Anyone in Basingstoke go to these people!

Took my car on for an MOT (bit last minute as original service provider gave 2 days notice that they could not complete MOT)
Not only did F1 have a slot I could use, but they were ready to MOT my vehicle at the given time and were friendly and efficient. Comfortable clean waiiting area too!

Not impressed. Booked two tyres to be fitted there via Asda Tyres (F1 didn't list the tyres themselves on their website). Booking made on Friday for fitting Monday afternoon. Thought I would just ring F1 around Monday lunchtime to check the tyres were in okay, they were, but the guy was very harassed sounding, had to give him the same car and order details three or four times on the call ! They couldn't fit them at the scheduled time and asked me to rebook for Tuesday morning instead. No phone call to warn me, if I hadn't happened to call up I would have wasted my time going there and back ! Turned up Tuesday morning for the allotted slot and was left waiting for 40 minutes before the car was even taken in and on the ramp. Workshop wasn't busy, plenty of staff around, should have been in and out in half hour or less in any decent workshop, seriously unimpressed. First and last time I use them !

Had used F1 for aircon re-gas previously, so wanted them to do my Daughters car. On Sunday, booked aircon refresh for Monday, rang to agree time of 9am. Turned up at 9am, and told nobody available with correct training to do it. Big joke is the booking was agreed by a Manager. Had to return following day where the work was completed. Never again, plenty of others around town.
