Excellent customer service and advice. The MOT was conducted in a very timely manner while I waited. Ian was particularly helpful and gave good advice about a repair I needed. Really good experience.

We been using Formula 1 in Maidstone for a few years now for MOTs, services and other car needs - they are always reliable and fairly priced. Excellent customer service from Barney this week when one of my tyres needed looking at urgently - thank you.

I always find the team very helpful. Today I got my car sorted quicker than advised

Only issue was the old headlight unit being left behind the driver seat when it had been replaced. I am sure it was an oversight. Otherwise never have an issue when using F1 Maidstone

Easy online booking for the day I wanted. Pre-paid so no faff on the day. Warm welcome received and MOT completed in around 45 mins. Customer waiting area was useful. Overall a friendly and efficient service.

I have used formula one several time and always found the front of house colleagues to be helpful, warn and friendly. However on this occasion the colleague was anything but, infact I would say his way with customers was rude, abrupt and dismissive

Despite being fully booked, Barney and his team found a slot at the end of a busy day to take a look at our screen washing system. Good, honest and low cost advice given. Would definitely use again.

Faultless service on MoT - appointment time was kept perfectly, service was swift, comfortable place to wait, and the advisories picked up showed good attention to detail. Thanks to Barny and the team for a job well done.

Only downside no valeting service

Needed front wheel alignment following insurance co. replacement of multiple steering/suspension components after minor accident. Chose F1 Autocentre as they mentioned they could check camber & castor as well as adjusting tracking - and provide a print-out. Rang mid-morning and was offered a slot that lunchtime by Barny. Very easy procedure with prompt and friendly service on arrival and a large viewing room to wait in.
Tracking now spot-on and camber checked to confirm within specs. Slight disappointment that the castor couldn't be checked, even though there is a section on the print-out for it but the car feels a lot better and drives straight.

Sexy Adam has the best attitude ever! Very pleased with his customer service and wish it rubs off on other employees who need improvement. Not even bothered it took longer to change 2 tyres and was quoted excessively to fix another issue (I didn't take the offer, knew I'll find somewhere else cheaper, but hey, can't blame them - they've got to make money somehow!). If not for Adam's cheery nature, I would be looking for another branch for future car maintenance as had a not-as-pleasant experience with one of their employees a week prior meeting Adam. He's the gem of the place! If you're lucky to be served by him, you won't mind spending a little more than expected and will even leave with a smile on your face!

Incredible service, they fixed two light issues for free so the car passed MOT. They are local to me and I will always go there.

Adam the new centre manager is an absolute god send. He really has the right attitude and is a very professional chap. This man saved the day and is a man of his word. Thanks team maidstone.

Over the last few weeks I have been stewing over the mess the Maidstone Branch has made of my car, I’m not a complainer in fact I hate complaining but as I sat in traffic going to work staring at my off centre steering wheel listening to my engine periodically splutter I thought to myself actually no this ain’t right
So here goes with my experience of FormulaOne Autocentre Maidstone.
I booked my car in for MOT and service nearly one month in advance for the 18th March.
I was called the day before to tell me they couldn’t service the car just MOT. The person on the phone was pretty indifferent and just said take it somewhere else and we will refund your money.
I rebooked my car for the 6th April. I left my car with them only to be called to say the car was not serviced and it would have to be the next day.
On the 7th I collected my car, when driving it home the car was missing and running rough. I called them straight away and was asked to take it back again. When replacing the spark plugs the technician had not gapped the plugs to my cars specs. Another hour and a half wait later and my car was returned.
Then I noticed my steering wheel wasn’t balanced after they adjusted the tracking it was almost at a 45 degree angle and the engine was still wrong.
Exasperated I called again to be told to bring it back.
My next opportunity was 28th April where it was looked at again and I was told it was all fixed.
Guess what? It’s not the steering wheel is still off centre and then car runs terribly.
I emailed the CEO and was palmed off with a regional manager “Drew”.
Our conversation went like this , I would like a refund I don’t want F1 touching my car again. His reply was no and offered me a different branch 20 plus miles away. After we disagreed some more I terminated the call. I think Drew needs to go on a negotiating course.
Anyway I then received an unsolicited booking for another branch 15 miles away, I guess so Drew could show her had done something huh.
Ultimately looking at the negative reviews on here it’s pretty much very poor workmanship no staff and tough if it goes wrong. Serves me right for going cheap.
As you can see my experience was very bad save yourself a load of aggro and use a smaller local garage or main dealer.

Don’t bother booking an appointment at Maidstone F1, means nothing, I had a ‘booking’ for 11am to have two tyres changed. Job didn’t start until 12:30 because they were busy and apparently short staffed? Regional Manager in the back office didn’t even bother to come out when I complained to the guy on the desk. Shame, used them lots, won’t be back. There’s too much competition to be so slack on customer service.

Took car in for mot failed on to items a new tyer that had nothing wrong with it and head lamp beam to high the head lamp beam could of been adjusted whilst under the bonnet and as for the tyer the so called tyre fitter started taking wrong wheel off and let air out of it as he don't know his near side from his off side now got take it back Friday 18th for retest when it could been done there and then used this company for years won't go back again only retest that's it
