Absolutely disgusting company! They tell you lies, never call you back. My son moved into his rented accommodation. It was extremely dirty and health and safety risk. The fire alarm was broken, food left on the floor for weeks by previous tenant and in the fridge. Boiler leaking into the microwave. They did offer a cleaning fee back after we complained and asked the manager to come to the property as it was so bad. However when they moved out. We left the house fully cleaned with video evidence and photos and then they refuse to give back the deposit money. Having to now claim back the money. I would definitely avoid renting from this company. Its been extremely stressful and they do not care about the tenant as long as they get there money.

We had a card from the postie saying that we had a letter with underpaid postage. We duly paid the excess (£1.50) only to find that it was a circular from this company. Not impressed.

Everyone in the Exeter branch has been super helpful - we’ve had a lot of questions as first time movers and they’ve answered all of them and made everything super clear and easy. Carly gave us a viewing and was also super happy to help and answer any questions we had - she has since found us our first place and we’re very grateful for everything! Would 100% recommend :)

Go for negative reviews and they do not lie. Especially that Adam, is absolutely menace and th rest of the staff is another level of unprofessionalism in display. This is based on multiple accounts and not just one...

Adam produced a fantastic brochure and went to market very promptly. We were fortunate, as were Francis Louis, that our house pretty much sold itself and did so very quickly. So in terms of work, this wouldn’t have been their most demanding sale. That said, we took a long time to find a suitable property so communications with our buyer were key. Olivia managed this and did an excellent job up to and including completion day.
I suppose the acid question is, would we use them again or recommend them for house sales in Exeter area? Yes, without doubt!
My final thought, are estate agents good value for the money we pay them? In this case, the hourly rate on our sale was pretty generous, so no. However, if you chose to employ them, go with Adam, Olivia and the team, you won’t be disappointed.

The Francis Louis team are incredibly helpful with a great knowledge of the local area. They listen carefully to requirements and really go the extra mile. I would 100% recommend them for sales and for lettings.

We listed our 6-bedroom student let HMO in Exeter on 12 Sep 2024. Adam sprang into action and had the listing up on various property websites that day. After negotiation by Adam with a potential purchaser we accepted a good offer on 16 October 2024. There followed a period of intense activity by Adam and Olivia to get all the property certificates and right-to-let documents updated. we completed the sale on 17 December 2024. What a great Christmas present and wonderful professional service by the Francis Louis team. Even post sale they have continued to help with the transfer of the tenancy to the new owner/landlord. We have used Francis louis now for over 2 years for our BTL management and they have been first class.
Nothing is to much trouble, always on top of issues that may arise.
When you have BTL you don't want hassle and Francis louis take that stress away from you.
