I bought a bike from here a few years ago and over time I’ve needed support in ordering upgrades or parts for servicing. Every time I have reached out for support from Freeborn, they have been brilliant at giving me advice and information. This business goes above and beyond for its customers and I just wish I lived closer so I could personally say thank you. Paul F

Bought a Cube Reaction 500 from Freeborn and never looked back. Great sales service and outstanding post-sales service too. When one spends over £2k on a bike the after-sales service is an important factor to consider. Almost a year later I had a problem with the bike's battery - Freeborn exchanged it with no quibble. I then had an issue with the e-bike control and once again Freeborn arranged pick-up, sorted the issue and returned the bike to me within a fortnight. And all at no cost - not many other retailers would do this and do it so willingly. Well done Freeborn for such care to your customers.

Recently purchased Cube Axial - price was much cheaper than other online retailers. Called before purchasing to ensure the bike was in stock - friendly service who physically checked just to be sure. 3 days later took delivery of bike - well packaged and received within 2 hour delivery slot. An excellent company, have bought 2 electric bikes from them now, I find their staff particularly those in the workshop to be knowledgeable and experienced, friendly sales staff and workshop staff alike. I get the impression this team has been together for a long time and it shows, very professional team, highly recommended by me, when I need another bike, this is where I will go, just had a good experience with the workshop, and a great price too. 10/10.

I purchased a Cube Reaction 500 e-bike and I received excellent help and advice from Sam & Joe at Freeborn. The bike arrived super-fast, was well packed and set-up, requiring minimal final assembly. I'm very happy. Unreservedly recommended.

Rip off merchants trying to charge 2.5 times the going rate for services while having no shop front so presumably less cost to them selves would not recommend

Freeborn are the best bike shop I have ever used. Their customer service is amazing, I literally can't fault them. I have purchased bikes and accessories from them with no issues whatsoever , had to return items with no problems and they have helped me out with warranty repairs way beyond my expectations. The workshop do a fantastic job with the repairs and are brilliant with their communications. They really do go the extra mile.

Bought an e-bike from Freeborn; when fitting left pedal, as did not know the thread was the opposite to normal, stripped the thread on the crank arm. Called Sam at Freeborn, explained the situation - he immediately sent a new crank arm, free of charge, it's now fitted and all perfect. Outstanding service!!! Highly recommend Freeborn. Many thanks.

Ordered my bike not so long ago and I had lost my screen in my bike whilst I was riding, I asked everyone for a screen and no one had any until I rang freeborn and stated my issue they were happy to send me a replacement free of charge due to having another issue to resolve. Yet again perfect service I couldn’t recommend you to anyone better. Thank you!

Purchased a cube touring 2021 with Bosch active motor very comfortable bike and easy to ride Looked around on the Internet for the best price but found out freeborn was giving the best deal The bike was in stock and the delivery was fast had to put the handlebars and front wheel on was not a problem Very happy with freeborn service would definitely recommend them

Just purchased khatmandu hybrid 500 with Bosch CX motor. This bike is awesome. Eats hills for breakfast. Great range. Love this bike. I had a cube tour 400 with active line plus only 3 mths old but wanted the new Bosch motor. This new bike is so powerful. Also has wider tyres and suspension post which I love.

When bike arrived I did not realise I would have to put front wheel on and mudguards and handle - was worried but rang freeborn and Joe was brilliant- talked me through it.
However bike came with couple of broken parts. Not a problem as Joe sent replacements in post . Joe has patience of a saint.
Would definitely recommend freeborn . I don’t think you can beat the prices anywhere and customer service superb.

Purchased a Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 2021 over the phone in September after an enquiry about a 2020 model. Got it at a good proce with quick delivery. Unfortunatly it was damaged during delivery but after a phone call the matter was settled to my satisfaction. After a couple of rides there seemed to be a problem with the Nyon display & again after a couple of emails I was assured it would be sorted if I needed to return the bike. After a check of the display & mount all seemed OK & the bike is great. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering online as I was around 100 miles away but with the fantastic support & customer service from Freeborn (Joe in particular) I would reccommend them to anyone. Purchased my Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 Trapeze 2021 early August 2020. Looked at a couple in the local bike shop and thought I knew what size I needed as I have been riding a 58" Specialized Diverge Road bike for 3 years in Club rides. I need a 58" I said ... no you don't they said, take the 54" .... boy were they right. The Cube is an absolute "Beast" of a machine compared to my road bike and has been affectionately named so. For reference I'm a 68 year old 90Kg 6 footer and live between the Cotswolds & Mendips so plenty of hills to choose from. Compared to a road bike the "Beast" is obviously great on hills (my weakness .... bad knees!!) but don't expect to be able to get the same speeds down hills (limited by gearing!) and on flats (limited by the weight of the machine!). My Road bike is much faster on both these environments and I've noticed that on flats, where I can maintain averages in the mid 20's (MPH), I find that hauling the weight of the "Beast" above the power cut-off speed (c. 16 MPH) takes quite some effort. With an eBike you can certainly get a workout on the flats!!! So far all my eBike rides have been solo (Covid19 if you're reading this in 5 years time) and my last 4 rides have been 55 to 62 miles (averaging 14.5 MPH ..... road bike averages c.13.5 MPH) and on each ride I've turned the power settings up to Turbo(max) towards the end of each ride, so as to drain the battery for a recharge, and on each occasion the Touring setting has shown no more than 5 miles left ..... although the battery has shown 2 bars of power left, so the potential total ride length is still a bit of an unknown. Obviously if I were to ride the "Beast" with slower averages I'd get more out of it, but hey, that's just me!!!
The above is intended to give an indication of what to expect if you're switching from a Road bike to an eBike, and possibly if you're new to cycling.

I did have an issue with the Bosch Intuvia unit not displaying the "shift recommendation" which I raised with Freeborn who took the issue on board, but a day or so later the unit was working fine!!!!!
Why did I buy from Freeborn? Because they had a good deal on the Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625 Trapeze 2021, whereas my local shop weren't interested in making a deal, even on a 2020 shop display model.

All I have to do now is admit to my Club mates that I've been riding an eBike!!

Ordered a cube bike it was delivered the next day. Fantastic. But we made a mistake and it was too large. They arranged to have it collected and we had a replacement sent without question. Wonderful service - friendly staff- helpful. Cannot praise joe and his team enough. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We bought two Cube electric bikes from Freeborn by mail order. Right from our very first contact the service has been exceptional and the attention given by Joe was without question. Had a small problem with a pedal bearing which I discussed with Joe. A replacement was received the next day. Bikes well priced and the service fantastic. Would have no hesitation in recommending them and the bikes are fantastic too.

Joe and the wider team at Freeborn bikes are some of the most personable and helpful retailers I have ever had the pleasure to purchase from.

When buying my lates road bicycle last year (2019), Joe was able to help with all aspects of the purchase, and always in a timely and friendly manner. When two very small manufacturer defects arose, Joe went above and beyond to see I was taken care of.

I honestly can't recommend Freeborn bikes enough. The true essence of what a bike shop should be!

Freeborn are the best bike shop in the UK, if you want to buy a bike online or in person get it from freeborn and have confidence they will take care of all your needs. Can’t recommend them enough.
