I had my YAG laser treatment at Truro and was very impressed by my treatment and left after 2 1/2 hours having been tested and had both eyes treated with wonderful results as I can now read the smallest print.

Sadly my operation was not as successful as I’d hoped. I had my surgery in April but still can’t drive at night because of the glare. It is now June. The hospital has tried to treat the swelling in my eyes, using drops I had to use 6 times a day. There has been improvement to my vision but not my night time vision. I am still being treated and hope the problem will be resolved.

I recently underwent successful bilateral cataract surgery with Rayner RayOne EMV IOL's across a seven week period at Freedom Vision by SpaMedica Titan House, Euston Park, Telford, TF3 4LY

Thank you to the nurses who cared for me, carrying out pre-tests, treatments, advice, and suppotive care while I was in theatre. After care applying drops to aid the healing process and reduce risk of infection.
Thank you to the team at reception as well for making me feel most welcome, letting me into the building, clocking me in, regular offers of a drink from the vending machines, while waiting in the corridor or waiting room.
I was first diagnosed with Chateracts fifteen years ago, with annual visits opticians, change in vision.
Chateracts run in my family,
I found it quite an emotional experience being able to see again intermediate to distance vision, after Chateracts removed and premium EMV lenses in place.
I will only need glasses for reading close up now.
From my home I can clearly see the stars, and satilites in the night sky. Identify the birds at distance, see the Derbyshire Peaks, Welsh, and South Shropshire Hills some 40+ miles distant
I can drive with full confidence,
My visual acuity in both eyes is 6/4 with refraction, I am so impressed with the result from these Raynor RayOne lenses.
At my patient discharge yesterday, it was clearly explained my treatment comes under guarantee for twelve months, should any complications arise such as cloudiness build up behind the lense, Yag laser treatment would be used to clear.
I can feel confident to be able to contact Freedom Vision by SparMedica should need arise.

Pre-op process and the actual surgery procedure are excellent.
However, the post-op session was rushed, and some key information missed.
Freedom Vision guide literature states that you are provided with a clear eye covering, which must be worn for the rest of the day, and the first night.
I was not provided with any eye protector. Since learned that there is no requirement any longer, but this was not explained after surgery, and still shows in their literature

From the consultation, tests, procedure and discharge, the nurses, Opthalmologist, co-ordinators and surgeon were friendly, informative and made sure I was comfortable and that any questions or reservations I had were answered. The procedure took place 2 days ago and already I am so pleased with the good sight I now have.

So the process so far has been great. Ive just had both eyes done at same timeand that was very good. Surgeon was great as was the team. im awaiting my first check up, but i did recieve a call on day 4 to check all was okay. the emv toric lens are brilliant and i anticipate only needing some off the shelf reading glasses.

I was referred to SpaMedica by my optician for cataracts in both eyes. This was confirmed and concise measurements were taken of both eyes using some high tec equipment. Several months past which gave me time to lean towards having the RayOne Galaxy because I didn't want to regret having a single focus lens. I wanted to be able to use my phone and be able to drive safely without glasses if possible. The measurements of my eyes was repeated and the surgeon Mr Hove confirmed by phone that I met the criteria for RayOne Galaxy lenses, both eyes to be done consecutively, he explained that it took a short time for the brain to adjust for near vision and one month for recovery making doing both eyes done together benificial.
Two weeks later I had the surgery which was pain free, having the eye drops in stung a bit as expected. All the staff were very reassuring and helpful, Mr Hove confirmed with me that both eyes were being done and what to expect. You as the patient just need to lie still and look into the light that all you see, I didn't feel anything. I'm glad I took sunglasses with me it reminded me of getting off the plane in Greece with the light intensity. When I got home the TV colours were so vivid and the screen appeared very bright next day I adjusted the TV back from 60% to 45% . I could already read a number plate from +20 metres but near vision was out of focus, the next day I noticed that near vision was already improving enabling me to use the phone without glasses. I must thank Mr Hove for his expertise and professionalism, I felt that I was in good hands and Nicola for her help as patient liaison manager.

Delighted with results - beyond my expectations.

I underwent cataract surgery on both eyes at the clinic in Hull. I found the staff professional and efficient and above all friendly and helpful. I was put at ease as it is an experience that creates a little anxiety but all staff made the process easier. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and all appointments were made and followed up with reminder phone calls to check all was well. Hannah my patient liaison manager was exceptionally helpful outlining procedures, timelines and expected outcomes. I found the whole process very reassuring.

Excellent service all round. Nursing and admin staff very friendly and informative. Surgeon, Mr. Amir also excellent. I always felt thet I was in very competent hands. I'm confident my post op checks and procedures will also receive the same excellent service.

Amazing experience , I was so scared of the procedure being in my eyes , but I was reassured and things were explained every step of the way . It was painless and over very quickly . I am week 3 post surgery and everything is going very well . I would definitely recommend having this done if you need it. I had an amazing consultant and surgeon . Thank you

All staff treated me with respect & dignity. Very polite & informative. None of my questions were deemed ridiculous or pointless. The YAG treatment I had has enhanced my sight. Everything is in bold & colours are so bright. I didn't realise how bad the cloudiness was. I would recommend this treatment. Painless and took very little time.

The staff are all very friendly, professional and caring. The day of surgery everything ran very smoothly and on time. Plenty of aftercare information was given and a follow up phone call the day after.
My only criticism would be the parking available. It is very limited and usually fully in use. Supermarket parking is close by but limited to 2 hours free parking and visits to SpaMedica are usually a little longer.

I cannot speak more highly of Freedom Vision in Chesterfield. From my initial appointment, I was always pleased with the welcome and the friendliness of everyone. I was so impressed by all the equipment and thorough testing that was done on every visit. I had RayOne Galaxy Toric lenses, and I now have 20:20 vision in both eyes. I'm really thrilled with the care I received at every stage and of course the results I am enjoying. I would recommended Freedom Vision (and their sister company Spa Medica) to anyone who needs cataract surgery. Thanks to all the fabulous team at Freedom Vision Chesterfield.

The staff were very helpful and polite plus they were attentive for the minute I walked in, even though I was early. I went in for Laser Capsulotomy and was in and out in 90 minutes with the job done. The result is clear eyesight again after a gradual decline. The sky is blue and clear again. I had forgotten what blades of grass looked like. Well done Freedom Vision.
