Friendly and patient staff. Procedures explained to me. Appointments available without having to wait long at all. I can see so much better now and haven’t worn glasses since!

I was very happy with the professional service provided by Freedom Vision I cannot fault this company. I now have 20/20 vision. What a team they have been absolutely fantastic from start to finish with their genuine kind, warmth and caring shown to me. The facilities are very clean and modern.
My thanks go out to everybody who dealt with my procedures. Especially, Lisa the manager at Chesterfield, Rosie and Megan the optometrists and most of all Chelsey who was brilliant , she is learning on the job very conscientious a kind and lovely personality Freedom Vision is lucky to have her I hope she goes far. I can highly recommend Freedom Vision at SpaMedica Chesterfield.

So the process so far has been great. Ive just had both eyes done at same timeand that was very good. Surgeon was great as was the team. im awaiting my first check up, but i did recieve a call on day 4 to check all was okay. the emv toric lens are brilliant and i anticipate only needing some off the shelf reading glasses.

I was referred to SpaMedica by my optician for cataracts in both eyes. This was confirmed and concise measurements were taken of both eyes using some high tec equipment. Several months past which gave me time to lean towards having the RayOne Galaxy because I didn't want to regret having a single focus lens. I wanted to be able to use my phone and be able to drive safely without glasses if possible. The measurements of my eyes was repeated and the surgeon Mr Hove confirmed by phone that I met the criteria for RayOne Galaxy lenses, both eyes to be done consecutively, he explained that it took a short time for the brain to adjust for near vision and one month for recovery making doing both eyes done together benificial.
Two weeks later I had the surgery which was pain free, having the eye drops in stung a bit as expected. All the staff were very reassuring and helpful, Mr Hove confirmed with me that both eyes were being done and what to expect. You as the patient just need to lie still and look into the light that all you see, I didn't feel anything. I'm glad I took sunglasses with me it reminded me of getting off the plane in Greece with the light intensity. When I got home the TV colours were so vivid and the screen appeared very bright next day I adjusted the TV back from 60% to 45% . I could already read a number plate from +20 metres but near vision was out of focus, the next day I noticed that near vision was already improving enabling me to use the phone without glasses. I must thank Mr Hove for his expertise and professionalism, I felt that I was in good hands and Nicola for her help as patient liaison manager.

Very helpful and kind staff. Real care to ensure no mistakes with paperwork. Procedure done efficiently with a good surgeon who kept me informed all the time.
Delighted with results - beyond my expectations.

I underwent cataract surgery on both eyes at the clinic in Hull. I found the staff professional and efficient and above all friendly and helpful. I was put at ease as it is an experience that creates a little anxiety but all staff made the process easier. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and all appointments were made and followed up with reminder phone calls to check all was well. Hannah my patient liaison manager was exceptionally helpful outlining procedures, timelines and expected outcomes. I found the whole process very reassuring.

Amazing experience , I was so scared of the procedure being in my eyes , but I was reassured and things were explained every step of the way . It was painless and over very quickly . I am week 3 post surgery and everything is going very well . I would definitely recommend having this done if you need it. I had an amazing consultant and surgeon . Thank you

All staff treated me with respect & dignity. Very polite & informative. None of my questions were deemed ridiculous or pointless. The YAG treatment I had has enhanced my sight. Everything is in bold & colours are so bright. I didn't realise how bad the cloudiness was. I would recommend this treatment. Painless and took very little time.

The staff are all very friendly, professional and caring. The day of surgery everything ran very smoothly and on time. Plenty of aftercare information was given and a follow up phone call the day after.
My only criticism would be the parking available. It is very limited and usually fully in use. Supermarket parking is close by but limited to 2 hours free parking and visits to SpaMedica are usually a little longer.

I cannot speak more highly of Freedom Vision in Chesterfield. From my initial appointment, I was always pleased with the welcome and the friendliness of everyone. I was so impressed by all the equipment and thorough testing that was done on every visit. I had RayOne Galaxy Toric lenses, and I now have 20:20 vision in both eyes. I'm really thrilled with the care I received at every stage and of course the results I am enjoying. I would recommended Freedom Vision (and their sister company Spa Medica) to anyone who needs cataract surgery. Thanks to all the fabulous team at Freedom Vision Chesterfield.

The staff were very helpful and polite plus they were attentive for the minute I walked in, even though I was early. I went in for Laser Capsulotomy and was in and out in 90 minutes with the job done. The result is clear eyesight again after a gradual decline. The sky is blue and clear again. I had forgotten what blades of grass looked like. Well done Freedom Vision.

I am now 5 weeks from having my second cataract operation and am very happy with the service provided by Freedom Vision. My vision is 20/20 now despite having an Astigmatism and short sight on top of cataracts. I can't believe how I had been managing a life in the dark with such poor visibility for so long. Since the operation, by following the routine of eye drops, I have had no infections or complications and am delighted with no longer having to wear glasses or lenses after having to do so for over fifty years. My surgeon took me through everything in detail in advance and was friendly and helpful. Chirag was my customer care contact and was always available if I had questions and the Helpline were really friendly and helpful when I had some questions just after the operations. Those doing my tests and the optometrist put me completely at ease. I felt I was in safe hands the entire way through.

I had cataracts in both eyes removed at Gateshead/Silverlink Spa Medica and cannot fault eitrher the service, theprofessionalism, the cleanliness and efficiency of the staff and the care given throughout from the first assessment to the aftercare appointments. As with most people, I was nervous about having my eyes operated on. It went smoothly with minimum discomfort encountered and great support.

i was very unsure about having anybody come near my eyes with sharp instruments.
Nicola Hendy, the patient liaison manager, was very cheerful and friendly putting my fears at ease.
The staff who carried out the eye test are very professional in what they do. Explaining every thing in a manner which puts you at ease and the initial optometrist made sure i understood every thing about what would happen if i proceeded .
After the assessment the consultant surgeon personally phoned late at night to offer his opinion as to the best option. This was all done within a few days.

The day of the surgery i was again put at ease by all the members of staff involved , from the admissions nurse to the pre op nurse. Mr Hove, the surgeon, also saw me before the operation to explain everything.

The actual operation was nothing to be concerned about and took 5 -10 minutes each eye. No sharp blades or needles seen just a bright light. The only thing to have to be aware of is coughing, as the surgeon needs to be aware .

After the operation a discharge nurse explains what you can and can not do to help with the recovery and then its off home .
Eye drops are an important aid to recovering and these are supplied. i found it easier if some one else applied them rather than trying to do it yourself, my cheek got a lot of the drops.
Post op check up is done approx 6 weeks later but depending on your work , your able to go back after about a week if not sooner.
Again this check up is conducted with professionalism and in a very cheerful atmosphere.
I would recommend this company with nothing but high praise for all the staff for their professionalism and for the cheerful attitude

I have to say that the staff in SWANSEA and BRISTOL are absolutely fantastic, from Surgeons to Nurses to Receptionists and transport staff they all make you feel at ease and cared for. The service was fantastic and having both cataracts done was the best £5000 I have ever spent. Thank you - you all made a difference in my life- the whole team in giving me back my vision. I was really pleased with the whole experience at Freedom Vision. The initial consultation was very thorough and constructive. I have now had surgery and everything went smoothly and I am delighted with my new vision

My father was completely shocked and amazed by his cataract results in one eye. Despite having the risks fully explained by the surgeon, he agreed on surgery and after his first surgery day having some blurriness, the following day it had resolved and he could read small print clearly and see all the flowers in his garden without any spectacles. He is beyond happy and ready to celebrate his 89th birthday! Jessica at the Sheffield location was attentive and corresponded via email as I live abroad and with a time difference. She managed an earlier surgery time as my father was desperate to be able to drive again. The surgeon and his skills were excellent, the only negative which the team are now aware of, is to ensure they contact with the client at the designated time given and not earlier so that family members can assist elderly clients with hearing deficits to understand the information provided.
An excellent outcome and would definitely recommend their highly professional services. Thank you so much for all your care and support of my father.

My optician highly recommended Freedom vision by Spa Medica to solve my cataracts problem. All the staff were friendly and great at explaining the procedure my optremist Megan was very professional and so helpful and I managed to get both eyes done at same time and I am over the moon with results and aftercare. I no longer need glasses which is awesome and back to work driving. Many thanks and would highly recommend them to anyone with eye problems .
