Gentleman that took our order was very helpful, nice.on conversation not like some sales people...nice to deal with...thank you 😀

My husband and I came in this morning to buy/choose our new sofa. Mark Taylor is a proper gentleman! He could read us well, was able to help us to make the right choice & nothing was too much trouble for him. What an asset to the company he is. He made everything a pleasant experience & we wouldn’t hesitate to go and see him again. Many thanks Mark, don’t change ;)

Really pleased with my new sideboard and the service I received. Mark Taylor, the sales consultant, was extremely helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. He gave me plenty of time and space to browse at my own leisure, so I never felt pressured. Mark was very pleasant and thorough throughout and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable

It was as if I was being given the bed for free, initially he looked soo uninterested, maybe he didn't think I could afford anything. Later, I identified the product I wanted and he just went telling me that I will pay it over 10months, no explantions of the process, and later asked to sign and with very little explanation. Later, when I asked him why he gave me just 10months to pay when I could see that there were other options he answered so curtly, "it depends on how much you are spending". However, I was spending over a £1k. He didn't even explain the 20 year guarantee that comes with most of Furniture Village products but seemed to be so keen to sell me the extended warranty. I used to shop FV a while ago and I never experienced anything like that.It was only when I got home when I saw the 20year guarantee commitment coming up on my screen and that you can choose a even longer payment period when you spend £500 or more, which I had. Hence I just went ahead and cancelled the order for being missold a product, that I probably didn't need

Update: I got a call from someone calling themselves the manager on Thursday 27th August, was defensive and dismissive of my experience and said that the order cannot be cancelled as it was custom made, which is untrue. I should have come here on Trust Pilot first before going in there, I can see that there are so many 1* reviews so it's no longer the FV that we used to know. It looks like they are so desperate to get the sales so they will will rush you through the sale, not disclose key information and then use that against you because they have rushed you through the process, so you don't have time to ask questions. So, long story short, I followed up that with an email to reiterate my desire to cancel the order and this is the response I got. "Further to our telephone conversation on Thursday, 27th August 2026 and in response to your email. I am writing to formally address the concerns you raised regarding your recent order and to confirm the details of our conversation.

Again, I sincerely apologise for the frustration you experienced during your visit. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive, pressure-free environment, and our sales consultants are trained to advise and assist so that every customer can make an informed decision at their own pace. It is disappointing to hear that you felt rushed, as this is certainly not the level of service we strive to deliver.

Regarding the specific points raised in your complaint, I would like to clarify the following:

Finan Finance Agreement: Your finance agreement will not go live until 28 days after the physical delivery of your order.

Cancellation Policy: As discussed, we are unable to cancel your order. The bed has already been custom-manufactured by the supplier and is currently stored with Furniture Village, fully prepared for delivery. Per Clause 2 of our Terms and Conditions, any cancellation at this stage incurs a 25% charge to cover the costs incurred with the supplier. This policy is explained during every sale and forms part of the agreement signed at the time of purchase.

Guarantee: As you noted, the structural guarantee does not cover accidental damage. Ottoman mechanisms come with a standard 2-year coverage, which can be extended to 5 years. Our sales consultants outline these options to allow customers to choose if the policy is something that they would require.

Documentation: To ensure complete clarity, we provide a point-of-sale checklist for customers to take home, alongside emailing the order confirmation and our Terms and Conditions for your records.

I have attached a copy of your signed Terms and Conditions for your reference, Clause 2 highlights supplier cancellations and associated fees.

I did not order a custom made bed, I picked one that was in store, no add ons to that bed but now I am told it was custom made.
I walked out of the shop with no agreement, but a beds checklist, now they tell me you signed, showing clearly that this is now an underhanded way of putting customers in a corner, they are keen to get sales at any cost. I wish someone in that company objectively looks into this. No business can survive for long with these underhanded tactics. No, very soon you will be in the news, shop closing down

We’ve been looking for the right sofas for nearly two months and finally visited Furniture Village, where Nick helped us
He was absolutely brilliant from start to finish so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, without being pushy or salesy at all, which was such a refreshing change from some of the other sofa shops we’d visited. He genuinely seemed happy to help and gave us plenty of time to make our decision without any pressure

We finally found the perfect sofas and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Thank you so much, Nick! Would definitely recommend 😊

New Bed
Searching for a new bed can be very daunting, but the staff at Furniture Village made this task simple and easy. Asking us what we wanted from a bed and suggesting different makes and options that would meet our requirements. At no time did we feel we were being rushed or pressured into making a decision. Their knowledge of the products available was outstanding. Certainly a store to visit again.

We have a very good service and they are helpful

Although a little disappointed initially at not being able to get through by phone to the store to answer a query I went in and was, once again, more than happy with the reception and professional interaction, especially with Angela?, the office manager.

Didn’t know what I was looking for until I saw it. Great colour choices. Staff were all friendly and David Sparks was very helpful and patient when I was dithering.

We have just purchased 2 settees and dining chairs from Furniture Village at Castle Marina Nottingham. Looked after by Nick who was exceptional, helping us with our choice, very knowledgeable on the products chosen and not pushy at all. We would highly recommend this retailer without hesitation.

Nick was great help today. Only went in to look around today and after his help with things ended up buying a dinning room table set and a sofa. Great friendly service

End to end an easy experience in buying our new sofa!
Phone call letting us know the sofa would be ready for delivery a week in advance, then messages from the driver on the day letting us know a shorter delivery window than stated in the email. Great service.
