I was completely dissatisfied with the service. The first delivery men said the sofa couldn't be brought upstairs and told us to contact the company, so we went and spoke to them. However, the manager in Edinburgh Straiton spoke to us condescendingly and mocked us. He said exactly this: "You bought the sofa, it's yours now. You should have measured the inside of the building. If you want the sofa disassembled, contact another company, and the cost will be yours. This doesn't concern us. Your sofa is your problem." The second delivery men brought it up without any problems. However, that manager's behavior was not at all reasonable. I will tell everyone I know that never, ever go near that place, and anyone reading this review and living in Edinburgh should be careful.If I can give -5 stars i would and don't forget to measure entire building.They should fire The Manager actually.

I had to call the furniture Village customer service, regarding an incident I experienced during the delivery of mu purchased item. The customer service was quite professional and admitted the issue with care and professionalism. Natalie at the Furniture Village responded with courtesy and advised the matter would be resolved accordingly.

Tom was a great help, telling us about the different mattresses, bases and tables as well as the deals.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Was looking for an adjustable bed.

We purchased a dining set today and received fantastic service from Gary. This is the second time we’ve bought furniture through him, and once again he went above and beyond to make the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Gary is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely takes the time to understand what you’re looking for. He answered all our questions, offered great advice without any pressure, and helped us find the perfect dining set for our home.

It’s rare to receive such consistently excellent customer service, which is why we were happy to return to Gary for our second purchase. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to family and friends. Thanks again, Gary, for all your help!

My friend and I were in your store on Saturday afternoon,first time for me. We had a look round and then the sales advisor spoke to us and told us about special offers and showed me how to use the extension leaf for the table.Very professional I was impressed by the cleanliness
of the store.

My husband and I picked up two bedframes here and the customer service was impeccable! Hayleigh is such a delight to chat with, and she gave us so much great advice when we were looking at the bedframe options, as well as with arranging delivery.

We had a great experience shopping for a sofa thanks to the excellent service we received from Tom. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, giving us plenty of information while allowing us to browse at our own pace.

This has been the second time I was in the store. First time no member of staff acknowledged us at all. This time a lovely Lady welcomed us and asked how we were. Made a huge difference in shopping in the store.

Andrew was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made our furniture buying experience enjoyable. We bought a sofa and a mattress and Andrew gave us an excellent deal and was accommodating with the delivery date to coincide with our move in date. Highly highly recommend and would definitely use Andrew in the future

Excellent service from Andrew. He spent the time to explain the various options, pros and cons of the numerous different mattresses available within their store, they do have quite a considerable range of the high end bedding companies available. Worked out an attractive pricing for us.

Good service especially on being informed of delivery and great guys who delivered but trying to get through to them after is a nightmare they tell you to use live chat but it doesn’t work

I visited Furniture Village Edinburgh on 8 June 2026 with the intention of making a substantial purchase, including a bed, bar table and chairs, rug, and potentially a sofa.

On a previous visit (7 June), I received excellent customer service from a member of staff, which is why I returned. However, my experience on 8 June was completely different.

I am a wheelchair user with communication difficulties following a stroke. During my interaction with a staff member named Andrew, I experienced what I can only describe as dismissive, rude, and unprofessional behaviour. I felt pressured, spoken down to, and not treated with the patience or respect I would expect as a customer.

There were also inconsistencies in pricing information between visits, and when I asked reasonable questions, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I left the store without purchasing anything due to the way I was treated. The distress from the experience had a significant impact on my wellbeing.

I have since raised a formal complaint with the company, but I felt it was important to share my experience publicly so other customers are aware of the level of service I received.

I hope the company takes steps to ensure all customers are treated with respect, patience, and professionalism, particularly those with disabilities.
