Slow Response and Unresolved Support Requests
We opened an account on G2 in 2025 for our company, but our experience has been frustrating.
We contacted their support multiple times for simple fixes and updates, yet these issues remain unresolved until now. This has made it difficult to manage and maintain our company profile properly.
Support responsiveness definitely needs improvement.

This company is actually a joke I wish I could delete my account with all the reviews I’ve submitted. After consistently providing screenshots and my honest thoughts on the product, all I get is moderation. So why am I wasting my time. G2 stop bothering me for reviews and then gaslighting me that they aren’t legite or I haven’t used the product.
Absolutely ridiculous organization.
G2’s Review System is Broken—Business Users Beware
Wow, G2 really knows how to make reviewing a simple task impossible. My review has been rejected four times. The latest excuse? I need a screenshot proving I use the product for my business—the same screenshot I’ve used before without issue, and my answers already make it crystal clear.
Apparently, logic and consistency are optional here. This process is time-wasting, frustrating, and ridiculous. G2, if you actually want honest business reviews, fix this broken system.
Doesn't pay out
They had a rep. at a conference stating $50 gift cards to write a review, after writing it they do not pay out the gift card. Do not waste your time.

They lied about giving a gift card in exchange for a review, and their AI changes all your answers after you submit a form to better fit them. It is a gross practice and company.
Terrible UX
You're not able to navigate to the product's page they are reviewing. You have to look for it in google ???
Promising payment for honest review, not paying for the reviews
Wrote a honest review for G2, did not receive promised payment. Got an ad from them on linked in, promising 20$ in amazon gift card form. Did a review and then was told it was plagiarized and received nothing. What a scam.
Potentiell guter Review-Anbieter, jedoch ohne günstigen Aproval-Prozess
sehr interessanter und guter Prozess um Reviews für Software-Produkte zu erfassen. Leider fehlt ein Review und Aproval Prozess, wie z.B. auf seiten wie Ultimate Guitar vorhanden. Die Seite könnte sich dort abschauen wie man einen professionellen Review-Prozess anbietet, bei welchem der Ersteller des Produkts (Review) angeleitet wird, Korrekturen durchzuführen und das Review final sauber vorzubereiten. Hierbei ist eine Mensch zu Mensch Kommunikation einem automatisierten Ablehnungsverfahren vorzuziehen, da Standardbegründungen dem Einzelfall oft nicht gerecht werden, was eine Ablehnungsrate beim Produkterzeuger (Reviewer) zur Folge hat. Mir beispielsweise als langjährigem professionellem Benutzer eines bestimmten Software-Produkts wurde nicht geholfen das Review zum Abschluss zu bringen, obwohl ich bereits viel Mühe investiert habe und es wurden nur automatisierte Ablehnungen mit Standardbegründungen generiert, die nicht geholfen haben, da der Ablehnungsfall (Screenshot) korrekt geliefert wurde und keine Begründung beigefügt wurde was genau am Screenshot nun nicht korrekt gewesen sein soll.
Incentives offered but never paid out
I took the time to leave a review on G2 because the email requesting the review said that I would receive a £25 gift card. The email did not say this GC was conditional, limited, etc. I'm sure it was buried somewhere in the long external link that took me to terms and conditions, but I skimmed through that and didn't see anything indicating the GC was conditional or limited.
I took the time to leave a thorough review. I got an email back saying my review required additional information. I clicked immediately to provide the missing info, and there were questions that were not even asked in the original review.
My review was then accepted, but I was told I would not get a gift card because my review was not one of the first received.
This feels like a deliberate attempt to deceive people in order to get reviews. It's only £25, but it's the fact that it intentionally felt manipulative and deceptive that prompted me to leave a review on trustpilot.

Très mauvaise expérience avec G2. On m’a invité à laisser un avis avec la promesse d’une carte-cadeau de 25 $ pour Elevenlabs. Après avoir pris le temps de rédiger un retour honnête, mon avis a été refusé pour des raisons de “vérification”.
Au final, on vous incite à écrire un avis mais il peut être rejeté facilement, ce qui donne une impression de système peu transparent.
Personnellement, cette expérience me fait sérieusement douter de la fiabilité et de l’équité de cette plateforme d’avis. Et je m’interroge maintenant sur Elevenlabs.
Unnecessary barriers to posting a review
I received an invitation directly to my email to submit a review for software I have been using. The email contained a $25 incentive, so I chose to post a review thinking this would be an easy way to help other users and also make a little money. Wrong. My review has now been rejected not once but twice because G2 claims they can't verify that I'm a user... 1. You emailed me based on the fact that I am a user. 2. I have submitted screenshots TWICE now logged into the software with my project open and the web address in the photo. I'm not really sure what else you could possibly want. This makes me not trust G2 and I will never use it to look up reviews because they create so many barriers to posting one in the first place that it doesn't seem like a reliable depiction of whether the products being reviewed are good or not. Most people don't have time to go back and forth like this to post one simple review.
Incentive Promised but Not Honored
I regularly use a popular collaboration software at work, and so does my company, which is why I agreed to write a review on G2 after being contacted about it. I was clearly told I would receive an Amazon gift card once my review was approved.
My review was approved and set to be published, but then I was told I wouldn’t receive the incentive because it wasn’t among the “first” submissions — a condition that was never mentioned when I was contacted.
Because of this, I’ve requested that my review be deleted and escalated the issue to support. I would advise others to be cautious about participating in incentivized reviews on this platform. I’m also glad I didn’t share my review on LinkedIn.
This was their exact response:
"Unfortunately, your review was not one of the first we received and is therefore not eligible for a gift card. We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and hope you keep an eye out for future review opportunities!"
There is something stupid about this that needs to be identified.
I wrote a review for a product on my account, and this is the only product I have on my account. It was accepted, and after a while, I edited it, and the edit was accepted. Now I'm trying to edit it again, but it's strangely being rejected with the message "Unable to Verify Use." I've edited the review five times, submitted five screenshots of the login page, and provided details that only someone who has used the service extensively would know, yet it keeps saying "Unable to Verify Use." I don't understand what's going on here, but something about it makes me think it's artificial stupidity.
Offered review for gift card, never received, they still published my review
Submitted a review of Samsara, was accepted and received email that the gift card was issued. Then went to retrieve it on the Tango site, received error message that it was unable to be submitted showing my email. I chatted with Tango agent who said to contact program that offered the reward. Then chatted with G2 agent who referred me back to Tango. Then emailed Samsara and was told there was no such program being offered. I am a legitimate product user and took time to review. Now I am being told it was a scam. I had to create a login to access info on G2, and there is no option to delete my review, all I could do is deactivate my account. I can't believe the positive reviews of this business on here, they likely are flooding this site with fake reviews.
Hygienespeicher G2 Energy Systems - Support
Im Angebot sind Hygienespeicher mit 300/500/++ Litern mit 1 oder 2 WT. In der Zeichnung der Draufsicht fehlen die Winkelangaben der Anschlüße. 90° der Tankanschlüße sind erkennbar, alles andere obliegt der Vermutung. Auf tel. Rücksprache antwortet G2ES, die Winkel seien problemlos zu schätzen.
Der Einwand, ohne vollständige techn. Daten sei wegen evtl. nicht spannungfeier Montage vom Kauf abzusehen, wurde vom G2-Mitarbeiter freudig aufgenommen mit dem Rat "genau so machen wirs" - vom Kauf abzusehen .
Bleibt zu hoffen, daß die Speicher nicht auch nach Schätzmaßen geschweißt werden.
Ein trotz aller Bedenken gekaufter Speichertank mit 1 WT ist an einem sauberst installierten Rohrsystem nicht anschließbar, weil die Anschlußbuchsen des Speichers vertikal so schief geschweißt sind, daß eine spannungsfreie oder wenigsten Dichte Montage unmöglich ist. Bei Anschlußdurchmesser 3/4" besteht eine Differenz von 2mm zwischen rechter und linker Flanschfläche. Kein in den Installationsanweisungen des Herstellers empfohlener Kunststoffadapter würde derartige Montagespannungen aushalten. Ohne FLexschläuche o.ä. ist dieser dieser Tank absolut unbrauchbar.

Review approved, reward promised, then suddenly “moderated” - very misleading
Very disappointed with the reward system. My review was approved, and after I submitted a ticket regarding the reward, I received an email saying that my review was “moderated.” This is very frustrating and confusing. G2 should seriously investigate this process, as users spend a lot of time writing detailed product reviews and deserve transparent and fair treatment.

Was sent an email to review some software with the promise of gift vouchers if I took the time to do it. Got an email back saying one had been done previously, so I didn't qualify. Not sure why they sent me the email if they'd already had a review. Massive waste of time.

Read this before participating in an incentivized review
As a key user of a software platform, I was invited to participate in an incentivized review. On that basis, I made a genuine effort to provide a thorough, thoughtful, and honest review, assuming the incentive process would be handled correctly.
A few days later, as promised, I received a credit that could be exchanged for gift cards. Unfortunately, one of the gift cards, worth 50 EUR, did not work. It turned out that the card had already been redeemed long before it was sent to me.
I collected all relevant evidence and contacted the parties involved. The incentive was not issued directly by the platform itself, but by a third party provider, Tango. Tango acknowledged the issue and explicitly stated that it would be resolved within five to seven business days.
However, after that message, all communication from Tango stopped. Despite multiple follow ups and reminders, I never received a response. The stated resolution timeframe has now been exceeded by more than three times.
I received the inital faulty card 12-12-2025 (50! days ago).
I then attempted to escalate the issue via G2, as Tango is a customer of G2 and this was the only remaining escalation path available to me. Unfortunately, this did not lead to a resolution either.
What started as a professional and well intentioned request for an incentivized review turned into an unresolved case, mainly due to the complete lack of follow up from the incentive provider.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise against participating in incentivized reviews. When something goes wrong, accountability becomes unclear and the promised incentive may never materialize.
