What a terrible experience

What a terrible experience. I wanted to book a demo with Jane, and received a call from Software Advice thinking I was contacting Jane. I was told that Jane would not work with me because we are not a medical clinic, and Taylor (the staff person) tried to book demos with several other companies. I was very insistent that Jane was the one I was interested in. She repeated that Jane "does not do what I do." I told her "but you don't know what we do." I ended up calling Jane directly, where I learned they will indeed work with us, and booked a demo directly with their extremely kind and helpful team. This feels very sketchy!!!

Do not recommend Adit for insurance


Do not recommend Adit for insurance billing. So far they have actually made us lose hundreds of dollars. The staff are incompetent and asking us questions about dental things that someone who has never worked in the field would be asking

We are so disappointed with this


We are so disappointed with this company. They do not communicate well and have made a mess of funds deposited to our account. They have hidden fees. It was a really bad experience!

Thought Heroku was the easiest, until I tried something simpler

Heroku has always been known as the “just push and deploy” platform, and that’s exactly why I started using it. In the beginning, it does feel simple.

But after trying other platforms recently, I realized that even Heroku’s setup isn’t as effortless as it seems.

You still have to think about buildpacks, dynos, environment configs, add-ons, and how everything fits together. It’s manageable, but not exactly “hands-off.” There’s still a learning curve, especially if you’re new.

I recently switched to a platform where I literally just connected my repo, and everything else, build, deploy, scaling, was handled automatically without needing to configure anything manually. No thinking about dynos, no extra setup steps. That felt like what “simple deployment” should actually be.

That shift made me realize Heroku sits in this middle ground, it simplifies some things, but still expects you to understand quite a bit.

So yeah, Heroku is decent, but I wouldn’t call it the simplest option anymore, even for beginners. There are newer approaches now that make deployment feel almost effortless from day one.
