Answerphone replay complicated
Bought this telephone for my 83 year old MIL with hearing loss. The phone itself seems ok but the lengthy process to listen to an answer phone message seems ridiculous. As quite a few elderly people have hearing loss, trying to explain complicated instructions is exhausting. Why no button on the main base unit to replay messages????

sent a replacement from France to my home address in England, dispite not having the receipt to hand. A good example of first class customer service to say the least!!!

My Gemarc 296 gave trouble. I contacted Justin with whom I had emailed some time ago for extensions to the base. He asked for the serial number of my base and establised it needed replacing. He was excellent and a credit to Gemarc. A new 296 base has been delivered speedily. I can confidently recommend an excellent service from Justin at Gemarc

Replacement batteries COMBI DECT 295
The batteries on my mother's COMBI DECT 295 were needing replacement after 3 years. The phone would cut out after a phone call lasting more than 30 minutes. I contacted Geemarc, via the contact form on their website, asking where to buy new batteries and they replied almost immediately asking for an address to send replacement battery pack. Only slight delay as had to be sent from France to UK. Excellent service. Thank you.

J'ai acheté un module Geemarc AmpliDect Combi Photo 295. J'avais commandé ce téléphone chez prevenchute pour mes parents (85 ans). J'ai été très déçu de voir qu'au bout de quelques jours, le haut parleur ne marchait plus...impossible de répondre à une communication sans décrocher le combiné. ... Impossible d'avoir une conversation à plusieurs. J'ai appelé Prévenchute, mais ils n'assurent pas la garantie!... sur ce genre de modèle et m'ont orienté vers Geemarc.
Le SAV de Geemarc a été infect. Selon le monsieur du SAV, c'était mes parents qui ne savaient pas le faire marcher ou qui l'avaient tombé!... Au bout de plusieurs appels, il a fini par me dire que je n'avais qu'à le leur expédier (frais à ma charge), mais que ce ne serait à priori pris en charge par la garantie!... J'étais écoeuré... Il était très désagréable et mettait en doute tout ce que je lui disais... J'ai fini par laisser tomber... En plus, le téléphone est très compliqué pour mes parents. Il y a plusieurs combinés, mais pour rentrer des contacts, il faut le faire sur les 3 téléphones car le répertoire n'est pas commun!!! enfin bref, une très mauvaise affaire que j'ai faite là!...

had trouble finding a replacement battery for geemarc 245. got in touch with geemarc to point me .in the right direction. was dealt with by JUSTIN who sent me replacement. cant beat that for service can you. this is why i have multiple geemarc phones

Absolutely Awful for an elderly deaf person
This was bought for my dad who is elderly and deaf. the phone is designed for deaf people BUT NOT ELDERLY!!! To only have instructions on line which can only be used by people who have no need of the instructions is useless

I bought a pair of the headphones for my husband's birthday. They are supposed to be able to allow people to listen to the TV at different noise levels as my husband has hearing problems. He is an electronic engineer so can usually work out how to use these gadgets. He couldn't. After contacting the UK office we were told to contact the French office. They responded quickly to each email and their English is certainly better than my French. The best advice they could give us was to buy some £10 box from Amazon that may help them work! We declined, so they suggested we send them back to the retailer. We had to go through all the hassle of returning and waiting for a refund. At least, I did get my £129.95 back, eventually, but after a great deal of frustration, irritation and disappointment.

My husband bought a hearing aid from Geemarc 6 months ago and he has been delighted with it. Unfortunately he began having difficulty with one of the ear pods. I wrote to the company asking for advice and received a reply within 15 minutes asking for a photograph of the part. This I did. I then received a request for my address as they were sending a replacement! All done within 30 minutes. I have never known such efficiency and kindness from a company before, and I'm 81 ! 5 stars aren't enough!

I recently bought an amplidect 295, the installation instructions provided with the product were sketchy, and totally inadequate. After going online to get further details I managed to set up the base station and the two ancillary handsets and now realised how limited the product is, one cannot transfer phone book nos from the base to the sub phones. All the promises about call blocking is false, my previous now defuct phone did it very well and had caller display, amplidect doesn't have the functionality.
To summarise an overpriced poor quality with a limited ability to do what they advertise, take care, a waste of money.
Gemarc Amplidect 296
I purchased a Gemarc Amplidect 296 photo phone and additional handset for my 84 year old mother who has dementia. She was having problems dialing the numbers on a BT phone so I thought a phone where she just needed to see my face and press the button would be perfect. The idea is a good one however: The instructions supplied are impossible to use and follow. My husband and I still haven't managed to get the registration process done so we can't get the additional handset to work. The photo button on the main hand set has to be pressed and held for several seconds before it dials not ideal for someone like my mother. If you can find a photo that looks as clear as it does in the advertising let me know as I couldn't. All in all I'd return this except my mother has thrown the packaging away. I will try calling the help desk but don't hold my breath that this is a suitable item for our needs.

Had these about 2 years. I am hard of hearing and these are advertised for people like me. They work reasonably well for listening to the TV, they have plenty of volume and the Bluetooth pairs easily provided one has a TV with a good Bluetooth transmitter or add on device. It may be a bit more complex to arrange if you want to retain an audio output from the speakers or a sound bar system. This depends on the TV however.
The battery life is OK for me I guess I use these for 3 hours a day and charge them up every 3 days or so.
I have also used them with my iPad however the audio quality is less than good for music so I use wired headphones with that generally. Comfort is just OK.
I am now looking for some new wireless headphones of a better quality as the Geemarc headband has fractured in the same area on both sides, it appears to be a weakness of the design.
I bought these at a good discounted price and would be disinclined to pay more.
