The first couple weeks, my Byron 2.0 travelmug kept my coffee hot for about 4 hours. Just a couple months of owning the mug, the coffee stays hot for about an hour and a half, at best. I don't recommend this mug.

You really only know how good a company is when there is an issue with their product.
After well over a year's hard use a Thermal mug developed a minor leak. No Receipt, no proof of purchase and yet they replaced the item without quibble.
Aftercare service as good as this deserves recognition.

I've had this contego mug now for quite some time, about 8 months. It keeps the liquid reasonably hot approximately 4 hours, at which time It's starting to cool down. The biggest problem I have is the rubber around the outside for grip, has now perished and swollen up. Also, the rubber seal on the inside has fallen off on a few occasions.
Already it needs some modifications!!!

I've had a few months out of my contigo travel mug but it is now leaking constantly and no longer keeps drinks hot. I did love it to start with but the mechanism quickly goes wrong and the "100% leak proof" becomes very leaky very quickly. I think for the price of costs it should deliver on its promises, sadly it doesn't.

Does not keep liquides hot- not even for an hour. Very disappointed with this purchase. Don’t waste your money.

Ich habe mehrere Flaschen und Thermobecher von Contigo. Und ich bin begeistert. Man muss schauen welcher Deckel für einen passt. Ich nutze den Autopop Deckel. Schöne große Öffnung.
Und für diesen Deckel gibt eine normale Flaschen mit 720ml Fassungsvermögen und Thermoflaschen mit 590ml. Und die Thermoflasche hält super lange kalt. Nach 2 Stunden sind die Eiswürfel noch da. Also ich werde immer wieder gerne kaufen bei Contigo.

After a short period of time, pop up lids leak. Might as well buy a cheaper mug, if it's going to leak.

This company does not disclose upfront the limited use of some of its products. For example, some of the children’s spill proof cups cannot have carbonated beverages or certain other liquids in them. The straw can explode with pop. Contigo‘s Amazon page listing did not state that you could not use carbonated beverages and when mine exploded they refused to give me my money back because they said that no carbonation is listed in the instructions that you receive with the cups. Namely you have to buy the product in order to see the instructions that state things you’re not allowed to use it for. Then a supposedly sturdy plastic straw was chewed closed the first day by a child—again, the company said that wasn’t their problem. I would never buy from this company again and their online information needs to be updated. The designs are flawed and I don’t trust them.

Customer service is basically not existent.
I tried to call, contacted them online also filled out their warranty claim form (twice), nobody ever got back to me.

I've owned a dozen Contigos which i originally liked since I drink infused water all day long. I have had issues with the lids failure on multiple units. The Byron lids use a thumb flip system that ygr rubber breaks down and can cut your thumb. The pain fails on all of them in a few years even though I hand wash everything, including the lids. The latest, a 24 oz West Loop has a lid which leaks from the 1st time of use! Customer service wants multiple photos as they have before and im no longer willing to endure their demands. ADDENDUM: Contigo agreed to send replacement mug (why not just a lid to replace defective one i have no idea). Ty to customer service. Still stand behind the poor ratings for their coatings, but im rating them now a 3.

Drinking is difficult, hot drinks will simply burn ur lips /mouth with every occasional sip.... Obviously this will continue for hour's or other times the drinks didn't stay hot.🤯
Sometimes the old fashioned way is tried, tested and simply works..... Rubbish bit of kit that's very disappointing... It's going in the bin unfortunately after several weeks of perseverance 😩

Own several of the westloop travel mugs. The lids are great when they work but they fail easily with time and all in a similar way. The plastic screw on cap comes out of the lid. No way to reseal it and can't buy replacements. Contigo need to provide a more robust product for day to day use and also offer customers the ability to buy replacement lids. Which are difficult to source in the UK especially for the West loop models. Definitely going to change brands as these cups do not last even a year and are quite expensive compared to other brands.

I’ve used the Autoseal thermos for years (I love the ambidextrous ones) but sadly the later “models” mechanisms are so complicated that they never work more than 12mths & I pay about $50 per thermos here in Australia! So sad - the older model was brilliant!

Their water bottles in travel mugs are expensive ripoffs. They literally flawed it's design deliberately, they have a bad seal, they're plastic is also soaking in water and they are not heat safe. everyone in the US needs to know what kind of company this is

I have been using Contigo travel mugs since I first Ordered on December 5, 2014. Since then I have purchased 3 more, all of which I use daily. I really like the quality and finish of these mugs but they have one week point the rubberized plastic seal under the mouth piece. It's a serious area of failure. In the past Contigo has replaced two of these tops after making me jump through hoops to prove I own them. Apparently Amazon order numbers are not a good proof of ownership. Sadly again the tops of two of my mugs are again leaking and despite many attempts at contacting them (there form page acknowledges receipt of the request each time) I am met with silence. They espouse a lifetime warranty on their website but apparently no longer honor that ? There instruction state that the tops can be placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher but as I don't own a dishwasher they are always washed after each use by hand. I have removed all recommendations from my YouTube sites as I can no longer in good faith recommend a product with zero lifetime warranty and customer service!!!!

Something I forgot to mention was that I also offered to purchase the replacement parts and still zero response !!

Fed up with my travel mugs. They leak after using for a month or so. Coffee stains everywhere. Been using these mugs for a long time. Definitely won’t buy another one. Tried warranty claim, website only offered US as country. Done with Contigo.

Very disappointed with the heat-retaining quality of the Contigo Byron. I did my research, checked reviews, and felt confident that in paying £12 I would be getting a travel mug that kept coffee hot for the time claimed by the company. In no way does six hours represent a true reflection of how long the drink stays hot. The first time I used it and it was barely lukewarm after five hours I thought it was me, but the second time it was just warm, bearable to drink after three hours. This is despite heating the mug before for several minutes and using fresh made coffee with boiling water. Waste of time and money. I could have bought a cheap generic at half the price and it would probably have been as good.

I bought 1 black one.
Unfortunately, it doesn't keep the drink as hot as it says. Almost 3 hours at most.!
I regret the money I paid.
If contigo authorities contact me, I will return it to them.

The glue on bottle for packaging doesn't come off without using chemicals. Really need to stop gluing your packaging Contigo!

I purchased a tall metal contiguous travel cup a year ago a couple of months ago the plastic on the inside of the lid is coming off everyday not happy with this product
