I’ve always been impressed with the staff at Go Outdoors. On this occasion I was at the Basingstoke store, buying hiking shoes and a backpack. I was served by James G who was very knowledgeable about the backpacks on offer and what might be right for my small frame. Thank you James G, very helpful advice!

Excellent customer service! Liv helped my girls with finding a riding helmet. She was super friendly, shared her own experiences and was really knowledgeable, that helped us come to a decision and gave my youngest a sticker to cheer her up! Nothing was a hassle or stressful. Will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you!

Extremely knowledgeable and patient sales associate James G helped me find a comfortable and suitable backpack. He had really good knowledge of the products and what might be relevant for my choice.

Excellent. Had the help from an excellent knowledgeable young man named James G who helped us choose the right camping beds and sleeping bags as well as a camping table. He was very polite and helpful. The shop itself was well stocked and had everything we needed.

Matthew was extremely helpful and affable, nothing was too much trouble. When the cable we needed wasn't on the shelf he went to see if there was one in the stock room. We were surprised that the Cardac BBQ we wanted was not on show so we could see it before buying, he happily unpacked a box to show us. Thank you Matthew.

A very bright and knowledgable young girl named Grace on tills today made mine and my grandmas experience stress and hassle free! She went above and beyond and super speedy - thank you.

The shop is spaced out very well a lot of choice and plenty of deals to be had with a discount card. When paying Julia couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. It makes such a difference when you have such lovely staff! Well done Basingstoke store!

Came in looking for a sleeping pad. James T helped me find what I was looking for. He was helpful and friendly. James used personal experience with products to help me make a decision and he sought advice from a colleague when he was unsure of an answer to my question. Thank you!

Carol and Sian on the tills were really helpful when I was buying a riding hat. They only had a display one to buy but were very thorough in explaining my options etc

I popped in to pick up a new tent along with a festival trolley. Had some questions about the various trollies. The staff went above and beyond for me. Nothing was a problem and they were even running round the store for me locating items that I needed. Both Terry and Sian are a credit to your business. If only I could get this level of customer care in other retail shops!

Natalie went out of her way to help me today and provided excellent customer service, I was very impressed. Anya helped me at the tills and kindly allowed me time to pop back to get something I’d forgotten. I will be sure to recommend the Basingstoke branch to friends and family. Thank you for restoring my faith in customer service!

Popped in to look at tables and chairs for the van to upgrade what we currently have. Met a very helpful chap that told us about the buy 1 get 1 half price deal which was fab as we wanted 2 chairs. However it wasn’t so great that they’d increased the price of the table we wanted from £40 to £60 as it was now part of the same deal.
Lastly the young lady at the checkout was fairly uncommunicative and a bit disinterested.
Overall we still grabbed a bargain but will look elsewhere for a table.

Went to exchange a defective jacket and the process was seamless. All staff i came into contact with gave excellent customer service. Will always buy from here.

Mary helped me find a replacement pair of trail shoe trainer style. She succeeded! Plenty of advice and lovely to deal with.

Thea was incredibly helpful by keeping alot of our gear behind the till whilst shopping with 2 little toddlers. Very patient with checkout and signed up to the club card in a few seconds. Very helpful and polite.

Sian and Anya were incredibly helpful at the checkout when ours sons DofE card didn't work. They were patient and resourceful and found a way to active the DofE discount so very much appreciated, thank you!

Rich was really knowledgeable about the Salomon shoes he helped me with. Thanks for all your help.
