Incredibly poor service and uninformed staff
If I could give this store zero stars, I would. The customer service at the Fort William branch was terrible.
First, I approached a young staff member who was too busy arranging a display to help. Instead of assisting me, he just pointed me toward another colleague who was already busy with a customer.
When I finally got the attention of the cashier—who acted like helping me was a massive favor—it only got worse. I asked for a size 8.5 in hiking shoes. He confidently told me that they "don't do half sizes." This is completely incorrect, as Salomon absolutely makes half sizes.
When I explained that I specifically wanted hiking shoes because I already own boots, he dismissed my choice entirely and told me hiking shoes are "no good." It felt like they had zero interest in making a sale, probably because it was getting close to lunchtime. Incredibly disappointing experience.

Outstanding customer service

Agnieska (store manager) instantly went and found some, when I explained what Inwas using it for she offered advice and gave me some extra items to help. After 7 nights on the West Highland Way my sleeping bag will be nice and clean

Wife walked in and was approached by this lady who not only helped her with fitting her size but also gave her the ‘member price’.
