Click and collect worked very well. Friendly staff and the item was ready very quickly.

Great selection but strange disconnect between online and in store. Had a defective tent that we needed to exchange, told us we couldn’t exchange because we ordered online and could only refund and buy again in store. So because of their defective tent we lost all the discounts we had at the time of purchasing online and had to spend more for a new one. Seems like a slap in the face as far as customer services go, wouldn’t buy anything from them again as they obviously don’t care about taking responsibility for their own defective products and honouring past purchases. So because of their defective product, we lost about £30. This was after spending about £600 there, so hoping none of the other stuff is defective as we dread having to get it sorted if it is.

Denise helped my husband pick a pair of walking boots, she was very informative and helpful and was able to show us a selection of boots to try, my husband needed good sturdy footwear due to an injury, so well fitted boots with ankle support is a must. She guided us through the process of cleaning and protecting the boots from all weathers, which is why we brought cleaning and protection spray. Thankyou so much

Jackie and Dani were extremely kind and helpful in helping me to decide on a pair of walking boots today and to order my size on the website (they didn’t have them in store). We encountered some technical difficulties and they gave me undivided attention until I was able to sort it all out.

Denise was extremely helpful in finding a new pair of walking boots for my father. She was very friendly and we did not feel rushed as we took our time to make an informed decision. My father is thrilled with his new scarpa boots, wool socks and hiking poles! Matt at the till helped in getting all of the discounts and promotions that were possible.

Lovely Denise helped me out with a pair of waterproof walking shoes for a trip to Norway and she took time to make a fuss over our dog ,then found some socks for us .

Clicked and collected got home and theyd left the paint bomb security tag still on the school coat so had to do an hour round trip to our nearest go outdoors to get it removed with no apology what so ever. Not impressed.

Great product, good price, excellent service

Yesterday (30th August) we visited the Ipswich store, this was mainly to have a look around the store. However as with most camping trips to the shops you find something shiny you feel you should purchase, on this trip I found some walking shoes which looked rather nice, to honest I did need a new pair. After choosing a couple of pairs I asked one of the assistants if they had size eights, he was very polite and popped off to see what he could find! He very quickly returned with the shoes, whilst I was trying them on he was very chatty, I then saw another pair I liked which got for me. My partner then turned up and she then chose another pair which Rory got for me, during all this time he very attentive and discussed each pair. With his help and my partners I chose a pair, strange that partner had chosen the most expensive! Anyway, thank you Rory, and the assistant on the till plus another guy who was very helpful in the ladies clothing area. A good shopping experience, albeit a bit expensive for me, but also some very good discounts as always in Go Outdoors.

Rory was extremely helpful when buying walking boots for my husband and myself. He was happy to fetch several sizes/styles and gave us advice on the different makes. We came away happy with our our purchases

Buying new walking boots from a huge range can be a bit complex, but Ashley made it really easy. He's a very experienced walker and climber so his advice on what's important is excellent. Great service.
