LOYALTY CARD

This is a revised version of my previous review. I thought I had only been given 21 points on my loyalty card as the receipt is somewhat confusing. However Gordon Riggs have pointed out that this is not the case. I did receive 23 points. I therefore withdraw my previous review and apologise to this company.

I have looked into this issue for you and I can confirm that you did in fact receive the 23 points which you should have received. I have sent you a screen shot of our system screen which shows this, to the email address which you registered your loyalty card with. The issue is with the way that points are displayed on the receipt. Our EPOS system calculates points in two ways, firstly, looking at the individual items, which allows us to offer double points on individual products, and secondly, looking at the total amount that a customer has spent. However, the receipt only displays the points gained based on individual items which is why it looks on the receipt like you have only received 21 points for this transaction. Now that we are aware of this issue we have contacted the developers of our EPOS system to get the total points gained per transaction added to the receipt so that it is clear to customers exactly how many points customers have gained per transaction. I would like to note that the owner of the business had absolutely nothing to do with this, it was simply an issue with the EPOS system that we have. We introduced the loyalty scheme to reward our loyal customers for their continued support by shopping with us. In no way was it our intention to alienate customers or take advantage of our truly valued customers. We certainly haven't stayed in business for nearly 80 years by ripping our customers off. We would like to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and we are sorry for any confusion caused.

Quick fire delivery

I placed an online order in a morning at 11.15am and the delivery came by 3.15pm. I was not at home and it took my husband by surprise as he didn't know I had ordered anything! Amazing service.

Great customer service

Excellent, friendly and polite staff delivered my orders quickly and placed items in positions I asked them to make my job with the heavy items manageable. Highly recommend

Another very enjoyable visit to Gordon…

Another very enjoyable visit to Gordon Riggs Todmorden. A long drive for us from Southport but so very pleasant to arrive there. The Garden Cafe lunch,as always , was superb, all the staff are pleasant and helpful. The displays throughout the store are very well designed and tempting. Can’t wait for our next visit.
