Container defective

Bought the Almost everything cream for the first time in June and the container didn't work. I couldn't get the product out of the bottle and had to resort to cutting the top off to get the cream out as I couldn't be bothered to send it back. As for the product itself, it is OK but it's hard to understand the rave reviews.

How do you get it to work

How do you get it to work ? Pumped the container but nothing comes out . In Greece so not a cold climate . Is there a magic trick?

Faulty container and poor customer service

The one star review is not for the product itself but the customer service! I received my second Almost Everything cream some weeks ago and the applicator pump was not working. I emailed the support team at the email address numerous times but got no response. I even tried to email the PR team to find out if there was another way of getting in contact.

I then returned it but had to pay £3 postage, which h for a £12 product was annoying. I recommended the product to my neighbour who has had the same problem with two orders. I see there is a review on here citing the same issue.

Come on guys, great product but it is no use to anyone if it doesn't work and we cannot get hold of anyone to discuss it!

Excellent customer service

Received the AEC but I couldn't get the pump dispenser to work. Emailed customer service and received guidance how to sort this (it worked) but they also very kindly sent an urgent replacement. I call that excellent customer service! Thank you Hershesons 😊

Horrendous!!!

Purchased 3 items - all defective and i couldnt get the product out. Then ensued emails back and forth - i wanted a refund - they told me to warm product up!!!! Eventually after continually asking for a refund they sent a label - i even had to pay for return postage. They agreed to refund me in full for cost of items and all postage charges. Returned via courier signed for. When i had proof it had been returned i emailed them asking for my refund - i included the proof of delivery. Said they were looking for my return amd asked for the delivery photo. I sent that. They sent me a hair clip as an apology which i didnt ask for or want. I wanted my refund. Order was 8th June - i have received a partial refund but now they wont refund the rest - almost another £14 - they say as per their policy to issue refunds 14 days after return of product. It was returned on 28th June. Still no refund. Fob you off constantly even when products are faulty. Worst customer services and experience i have ever had anywhere !!!!!

We have looked into this case and understand you received 3 faulty Almost everything creams, we sent you a complimentary Almost everything cream, refunded the cost of 2 Almost everything creams, sent a free gift and the return postage incurred.

This was all prior to receiving your return in the hopes that we could help and go above and beyond to turn this experience around for you.

For the remainder of the refund we have explained that this will be with you as per our 14 working days policy so this can be assessed and checked for faults following our returns process. Your refund for the remainder balance will be issued shortly!

We really did try our best to resolve this for you but understand it may not have been the outcome you wished for. 💙

Your response to my review is not totally accurate

I find your written response to my review fascinating & not totally accurate.

I have been refunded the postage for sending my defective product back to you.

I have not received a replacement product yet.

This morning I telephoned your Head Office & spoke to a very charming & efficient Employee. I informed her that I had not received a replacement product. She said that she would follow it up & would telephone me on Monday.

At 20.00 hours this evening I received an Email telling me a replacement product had been sent out.

I should receive it on Monday.

What rubbish

What rubbish! Can't get any product out of the damn dispenser. Very poor. Will be telling my friends to avoid. Utter waste of money

Daylight robbery, non-responsive

I paid the £6.50 for next day delivery online, and this didn't materialise. I've sent multiple emails to their support address and received no responses. Daylight robbery! I would NOT recommend buying online. There is clearly NO customer service.

Unfortunately as your order was due on the Friday and we were made aware of the delay during office closure times we couldn't get a new order out to you or cancel the original as requested.

DPD unfortunately experienced delays with the parcel so we went ahead a issued a full refund for delivery. If you still wish to refund the item please don't hesitate to follow the return details which were sent to you and we can get this sorted!

No service without storing your card details

Went to Selfridges store for a blow dry, on arrival at concession, the ladies looked bored and uninterested, what a shame when you decide to indulge yourself in a treat. The only thing they were interested was getting my card details onto their system, it’s policy, was repeated several times…I said I will pay now before the service, they took my card details but still didn’t charge, I find this odd. I then had to go to another desk to pay. Would be happy to talk to someone about this as I don’t feel comfortable having my card details left on system. Blow dry was fine, but a rather traumatic experience. When spending £40 on a blow dry I would expect a little pampering, maybe even a glass of water! Come on Hershesons I think you can do better!

Thanks for your email. Our salon booking system which is provided by an external system have this rule set in place so that our cancellation policy is adhered to and payments can be automatically processed and linked through your account.

Unfortunately, no team member holds the ability to take manual payments for an appointment not on the system and appointment profiles can only be processed with a full account set up.

So sorry for any inconvenience but this is something which is out of our hands. 💙

No online customer support - don't bother.

I'm only leaving a review because I have emailed Customer Support 3 times in the last 10 days and haven't received any response. I ordered an e-voucher on the 21st of May and it still hasn't arrived. I see comments on here saying it could take up to 5 days, but it's been 10 and I can't find anyway to get hold of any kind of cusomter support. Tried to raise a refund request and it said my order number wasn't valid! It's such a shame I do rate Hershesons but would only go into a salon in future, I wouldn't bother buying anything online. If someone from customer support could please contact me that would be appreciated - I'd love my £100 back!
Edit: the customer support team responded to me today and have resolved the problem and offered compensation.

Amazing Dryer, no customer support

First things first, the hairdryer is amazing and so insanely innovative (I’m a salon owner who religiously used Dyson dryers and needed an alternative as my Dyson wasnt the greatest and didn’t stand the test of time). Hershesons seemed like a perfect alternative and whilst I’ve been using the dryer I couldn’t fault it. After two months I’d say it was the best on the market

My dryer is not working and now has lights flashing. There is no troubleshoot page on the website and no number to call. They advise on here to message on social media or email…

Two issues I’ve had:
1. I sent an Instagram message 2 months ago and they’re yet to look at the message. They also don’t have customer service. Now the dryer has stopped working and I run a busy column and very skeptical on if I will hear back from them (which would mean a waste of £300 for a dryer I only bought a couple of months ago)
2. They do not have an Afro comb attachment for the dryer. I emailed about this on the 21st March (with the email that the phone lines gave me) and I’m still waiting on a response. This hairdryer is a fairly recent release so take what you want about their lack of response with this.

Ultimately, I would advise anybody to be conscious about giving this company their money. Dyson are a horrific dryer, however they at least have a customer service centre to deal with your issues. Hershesons dryer is the best on the market currently, but is it worth it if no one is there to help when you have issues?

5.6.21 - they have got in touch about the hairdryer not working in the US stating the hairdryer is not dual voltage. It shows this on the ‘techy bit’ on the website but as a consumer I wouldn’t know that dual voltage is required to use your hairdryer in certain areas.

I am still yet to hear back regarding an afro comb attachment from my email on 21st March.

As stated before, great hairdryer, however we will no longer be buying further dryers for our salon team as initially anticipated due to the poor customer care

Just to follow up regarding your above comments, we feel it very disappointing that this review was posted just 4hours after contacting us regarding your hairdryer not working in the US. We replied as soon as possible. I am sorry there was no response regarding a release date of an afro comb but this was not received on our end. To answer now - as this is a newly launched product, as a small family business we are developing this over time and making sure each attachment and accessory works well before launching.

Different countries require different voltage and adaptors for electrical items this why we have this stated and outlined in the details of the dryer this is something which clients should be mindful of a we suggest to research the product fully prior to purchase.

I believe from your email correspondence the hairdryer is working fine within the UK. We are always learning on ways to improve as our business grows so appreciate your feedback. 💙

Complete lack of customer interaction

I ordered one of their packages that included the hairdryer, a total spend of around £300. I was temporarily staying at a friends and asked for the delivery to be made to the temporary address. Towards the end of my stay I realised that the order would not be received before I had to vacate the property, so I contacted the customer services email address to ask that the order be cancelled and I be refunded. The order was cancelled within a day or so and the DPD consignment returned to the depot. However, I am still waiting for my refund over a week later. I understand that these things take time to process, but none of this is helped by the almost complete lack of customer service responses and information about deliveries. Once my order was returned to the depot I could see that the order had been picked and despatched on time for me to receive it, and had I had access to that information I would not have had the need to cancel the order, but the info just wasn't available. The first I heard about the order being despatched was the DPD notification. It would have been good to know that my order was being processed, the information was clearly being captured.

As it stands, the package was returned to the depot last weekend and I am still awaiting a refund. I have emailed the customer service address twice to chase and also messaged via the Messenger app. All to no avail, and complete lack of response.

Hersehesons really need to invest in a better customer service function, as is demonstrated by all of these negative reviews. I am ready to re-order the item and send to my permanent address, but as no one has contacted me and I cannot discuss this with anyone then I have to wait for a refund to be processed before I can place a whole new order.

I would be grateful if someone could contact me regarding my refund ASAP (order 86928).

Purchased a hairdryer & accessory…

Both my emails were sent prior to the bank holiday & weekend. I would have expected to receive an acknowledgement email from yourselves stating that the issue would be dealt with in due course. However, I am pleased with the hairdryer

Well.......I do love your Almost…

Well.......I do love your Almost anything Creme. It tames my difficult grey hair but trying yo contact your customer services at the Head Office email address or at the 02074341747 phone number is a total waste of time. The phone goes dead after a few rings. I subscribed to get a cheaper rate but I want to know how many weeks before I receive my next order. I cannot log onto my orders to find out because I've forgotten the password I used. Trying to reset my password requires my email address and the password I've forgotten. So I can't reset. Please will someone get back to me ASAP before I contact my Bank to decline all payments you request.

Bought the Zhoosh foam

Bought the Zhoosh foam! Awful stuff. Just makes my hair sticky and dry.
Tried to cancel subscription as have thrown first bottle in the bin and now they say you can only cancel after 3 purchases. What a complete farce. Avoid this company.

Hershesons’ hairdryer

I reviewed my experience with Hershesons on 17 March. I am glad for the opportunity to write further…
An explanation for the delay in response was given and accepted. The problem I was experiencing was dealt with to my total satisfaction, very promptly and amicably. I am very happy and the hairdryer is great, the best I have ever used. Additionally, the hair products are also, in my opinion, amazing. So thank you Hershesons.

I was looking forward to trying this…

I was looking forward to trying this product but it arrived and the pump didn't work. I followed the advice of customer services to put the container in warm water and take the bottom of the tube and push from underneath. None if which worked.
I now have to pay to return it to them.
Definitely won't order again after reading all the reviews on here and Facebook about the pump defects. Possibly a nice product but I'll sadly never know!

Poor customer service

Bought a styling brush and it's been okay gets a bit hot at times when using hair dryer with it. Daughter dried my hair and the brush end touched my arm and has left me with a burn!. Email sent 3 days ago with pictures and still no response.
Poor customer service.

It’s a good product if only you manage to get any out of the pump!

I love using the almost everything cream but stopped buying it because it’s like a full body workout trying to get the blooming stuff out of the container. I had obviously forgotten this aspect of the product in a menopausal moment and purchased the large pot and a smaller one for my sister. How on earth I haven’t chucked it across the cliff top by now, I do not know
My pot cost over £40 and I’ve managed to extract two applications out of it.
Face it, the packaging is not fit for purpose
The product inside could be the Elixir of life but if you can’t get it out of the packaging, what’s the point!
I have pumped the thing over 50 times tonight and nothing!
I’m quite tempted to go into the salon tomorrow to find out exactly HOW you’re meant to to do it. There has to be a technique that I’m missing but I’ve tried warming the container, I’ve tried turning the pump, I’ve tried massaging the container! Nothing! I have come close to taking a hammer to it in sheer, blind rage
Change the packaging Hershesons! For Gods sake, change the packaging!
Should I ask for a replacement or try and take the packaging apart and put the contents in a pot or just get my money back.
Incidentally, my sister isn’t having much luck with hers either.
