The gentleman on click and collect at Inverleith today morning was brilliant. 2 pick ups plus return swiftly sorted!

I ordered online and order was ready quickly for collection. No waiting at checkout to collect and a fast efficient service. Will use again.

Purchase and collection were fine.
Could have done with help lifting 30kg+ in to my car 🤷‍♂️

Appaling customer service in store, even worse online.

Bought a La Hacienda Chiminea, first time I used it it cracked all over, took it back to be told it was my fault as I let it get too hot, really?

Called customer service, typically based in Asia, to be told store decision stands. No further duscussion, hung up on me.

No wonder this company went bust, hopefully they will again.

When I asked the manager what sand and how much I'm supposed to use, he said that's your problem to work out but I'm not interested in your complaint.

He was about 5" 6'......

Glad I bought the unit I did it looks pretty and holds all my sons t shirts probably wouldn't hold heavy clothing but I didn't really want to go to the expense of a chest of drawers for a small period of time while my son was visiting but I would say it's worth the money and quick delivery to

Easy to order online and service instore was quick and staff helpful and friendly

Although the company has been around for many years, there’s not a a great deal changed, apart from, when you ask customer services if there’s any chance of getting a hand out to the car? It’s never a problem they always give you a hand out to your car

I recently had a disappointing experience... One of the products I ordered via collection service 5 day ago was unavailable, which I only discovered when I came to the store on the day of collection. I apologize for the late collection, but the real issue was with the customer service I received over the phone.

When I asked about my order without providing the reference number, the representative assured me they would find it without issue. However, they failed to inform me that the item was out of stock. This lack of communication has caused a significant delay in my project, which I now have to postpone for the next few weeks—something I cannot accommodate due to prior commitments. I was so looking forward to finish my project during this long bank holiday weekend.

It’s evident that some employees lack the necessary care and commitment, and I strongly suggest that the store implement initiatives or financial incentives to encourage better service. Not a punishment but a motivation!

That said, the store agent who assisted me during the actual collection was very friendly, professional, and apologetic about the issue, which I appreciated.

Overall, while the in-store experience was positive, the lack of communication and attentiveness from the phone staff was very disappointing. I hope the management takes steps to address this.

The order was sitting there waiting for collection. It was all very easy.

Amanda is part of the kitchen design team at Craigleith Homebase and she has been excellent throughout the whole process. A poor choice of builder on my part resulted in a lot of stress and changes which Amanda helped fix. She was always available to contact and definitely brought some peace of mind to the project. Thanks Amanda for your help.

Store was a bit untidy, especially in homewares, with lots of gaps on the shelves and furniture lying about instead of neatly displayed.
Checkout staff ignored me initially whilst they chatted about a toilet seat, then continued to chat during the transaction. I was quite surprised to be asked to write a review, so here it is.

Fast, efficient and courteous.

Search facility on the website is abysmal - it doesn't list all your products and the stock holding by store is woefully inaccurate.
Just had a response from Homebase, asking me to edit this review. But I can't edit it down to zero stars, so I'm afraid I can't help!
- I placed a click & collect order, but that failed because the actual store (Edinburgh Craigleith) stock level (1) was less than that shown on line (7).
Consequently I had to place an order for home delivery, which incidentally, turned up poorly wrapped in a battered box.
Zero stars from me.
